    Whole seasons are missing

    The Last Watch
The audio books that this series presents are just gradually getting worse and worse. I read one review of this audio book describing it as a "YA novel", which seems apt. This is a silly story I don't care about, involving shallow characters I care even less about. I gave up because I couldn't bear to keep hearing the ridiculous dialogue.

    Fun sci-if/fantasy story podcast
I came on for the original book, but now we’re a couple in and I’m definitely loving them all. The current one, Legends And Lattes is fun. Not something I would have sought out, but whomever is running this ’cast has great taste !

Great place to get great stories
I love the books (so far) they’ve chosen to present. Only nit to pick is wish I just pay a subscription and get the whole book instead of trying to find/buy the book.

    Season 5 Episode 2 ???
Season five took off like a rocket ship… Story gets lost a little bit because there’s no episode 2

    Where is this episode?

Why is season 5 missing episode 2?

    Alien sex
Did not expect Dak to tongue punch the alien

    Lulwut?
The nonsensical and poorly acted Thirst gets in the way of what could have been a believable and enjoyable sci-fi story.

    Declining Quality
Season One was a fully fleshed out Audio Drama with a cast and sound effects. The newest season is basically if Siri read you a science fiction novel but with less emotion.

3stars (at most) for season 1, 5 stars for season 2
I did not enjoy season 1 much, and hated the final episode. However, season 2, the 3 body problem is engrossing. It starts slowly - the first two episodes are historical, not science fiction, but once you get to episode 3 the sci-fi elements enter the picture.

    Great sci-fi thriller!
I loved this sci-fi thriller podcast

    Great story!
I’ll admit the ending was... unexpected, but at least it basically finishes. There were 2 instances of “slurping”, but I recommend to get past all that. This is an excellently written & acted story - would love to see where it goes in Season 2. I need more Lloyd! <3

    Mediocre at best
Mediocre sound design, acting and a very non linear, messy story line. I wouldn’t recommend. Mildly entertaining but don’t expect much more than that. Overly dramatic and chaotic episode design- hard to follow and missing substance. The ending was absolutely just bizarre and left field. Arguably one of the worst wrap ups I’ve listened to in a long time. Great idea but very poorly executed. If you’re looking for a show with similar themes jump on over to Limetown- that one won’t let you down!

    Fantastic acting
I understand that some people did not enjoy finale but how else are you going to wrap something like this up. Sound production also stellar. Ashli is an amazing actress. I can’t fault any of the acting; it is all very good. I really had fun and looked forward to listening.

    Mixed Bag
Put me in the camp of “Enough with the slurping/kissing/ice clinking/chewing noises” in audio dramas. I DONT need to hear this stuff to believe it’s going on. In movies, heck in real life these noises don’t stand out so much so why are they so often played up in audio dramas. Just yuck. 😣 Aside from that I don’t love the leads/Daks voice. She really sounds to me as if she has a bad head cold. The story is pretty good. Even gripping at times. Haven’t quite finished it so can’t speak to the last episode which seems to be a love/hate episode for most reviewers. Hope I love it.

    Good until Last Ep.
Agree with the other reviews; it’s amazing until the very last episode.
  • FenderBender17
    Almost amazing
I would still recommend listening, it’s a good story up until the last episode. The ending went completely off the rails in a way that probably could have worked if it didn’t feel so abrupt, but is also handicapped by just being f*#king WEIRD.
  • Clhaughey
    The ending was perfect
I don’t know what everyone is hating on here, it’s definitely a turn but holy cow it’s fantastic.
  • JulieMM76
    Fantastic... until the last episode
Characters and storyline were amazing ... until the last episode.

    Loved every second
I love a good fictional podcast, especially when the characters are done well. This was exhilarating until the end! I listened a second time I liked it so much
  • Shellsfolly
    Loved it!
Great story, production values, and voice casting! Dakota is one of my absolute favorite podcast characters. Please make more seasons!

    Great show, bad ending
I loved the show but I hated the ending like I hate taxes.

How did I forget to review this?
This is my single favorite dramatic podcast, ever. I still have it in my feed in the futile hopes that they decide to do one more episode (they actually did a live one, episode 0, so my hope was not misplaced!).
  • Zombie end
    Great Podcast
Story was good the ending seemed rushed
  • Petropia
    It’s ok
Story -4 stars Production value-2 stars Acting-3 stars. I thought Dak was miscast Music- 2 stars Feels like a student making a good first attempt at a podcast. There’s much better Si-Fi podcasts out there.

    Great story.. till the end
Loved the casting, the story, the build up. Everything! Until the end. The ending made no sense and left me wanting. It’s a shame, there was so much potential, but in the end I was left disappointed.

    Weird
Weird as The Shape of Water.. Interesting until the end..

    Worth the Ride
The ending is awful, but the journey was worth it.

Interesting Story, Has Its Strengths And Weaknesses
Thought the story was interesting but didn’t love the ending. I thought Dak was an awesome lead voice; I like hearing a lower female voice like miners the main character! The character development was interesting but not super consistent. Gotta take Dak for who she is! But then there are moments that seem wildly out of the character that was built. Overall, I enjoyed this podcast. The audio was really great, especially with headphones. Didn’t care for all the swearing but, again, the characters are who they are.

    Romance no one wanted
The storyline is good, except for the romance. I just don’t care about who’s sleeping with who. Feels like a soap opera. Also, the mouth noises of kissing makes me uncomfortable like listening to people chew.

    Starts great, falls apart
I enjoyed the voice acting - nice to have a different sounding lead person/character for a change, and she’s a talented voice actor. Sure, the character’s insecurities weren’t appealing - she’s a lead, chemistry happens, *own* it, for goodness sake. But the real problem is the story, itself. Doesn’t seem to know if it’s sci-fi thriller or romance. Could have been both (which would have been surprising, but interesting), but in the end winds being neither, just a hot mess. I’m not even sure what the point of the ending was...but didn’t have enough interest to listen to it, again. Too bad - this had potential.
  • Lagomorphica
Three stars for the performers and production value, otherwise it’d be one.
Edit: Read the other reviews, wanted to just say emphasize Ashlie Atkinson NAILED it as the lead. I 100% believed how she played Dakota. It just made all the contrived BS the plot demands of her to be so much more Out of character. Patti deserved better. Lloyd deserved better. DAK deserved better than to be marched like a puppet towards an ending that makes no sense. Also deserved better than to spend every other episode going “BUT I’M HEAVY U COULDN’T LOVE ME”. Mysoginistic, stupid writing.

    Season 2!
I don’t ever write reviews but I had to share my enjoyment. Great series and I’m demanding a second season

    My fav podcast
This is an excellently written and produced podcast. It’s my favorite fiction podcast of all time. It’s engrossing and I totally beloved the romance between Dak and Matt.

    Really disappointing...
I love SF, and I really love radio drama, so I'm thrilled about the current flowering of audio-dramas-as-podcasts. This seemed like a sure bet, but...To begin with: terrible casting. I'm sure Ashlie Atkinson is a great actress and I know she's won awards, but...she was the WRONG casting choice for Dak. If the male lead had an irritating, chain-smoking mother, THAT role should have gone to Atkinson, not the female lead and love (lust) interest. During the love/lust scenes, my mind's eye just had to look away in embarrassment. I'd have gone with an experienced voice actress like (a younger) Laura Esterman, or maybe someone authoritative like Catherine Keener, Janine Turner or Jada Pinkett Smith. Then there's the plot, which starts out strong but seems to lose its way about halfway through and goes off the rails entirely at the end. Well...in the words of that great radio actress Vivien Leigh, "Tomorrow is another day."

    Bad ending
Such a good, interesting story until the end. Seriously just slapped together the weirdest stuff. Could have been better.
  • Patrick39047
    God awful narration
Story was dumb Characters lame But, by far, the most horrible aspect was the narrator / story teller. I couldn’t tell if it was a man, or woman, or a chain-smoking tranny. It / she was like listening to a cancer patient trying to cough up flem.

    Amazing! Wonderful! Awesome!
Brilliant voice acting! Great story and good pacing. I love this!!
  • Maryfrancesart
    Can’t. Stop. Listening.
I love this podcast. Great story, amazing actors. Every bit as good as Homecoming for quality in story or character actors. Thank you!
  • Anon rev
Was really good, but it got really weird
I binge listened to all of the episodes on a car ride. The acting was well done and the storyline was very immersive. I knew that it was going to be kind of weird based on the genre and other reviews I’d read, but the last episode was a little too weird for me. It seemed out of character as well, but overall, I enjoyed it
  • Malvala
    Had potential
It started off interesting and had promise. But towards the middle it got kinda weird. Though all the voice actors did great I did not think the two main characters, also love interests, had chemistry. I was hoping primarily for a Sci-Fi adventure with a side of romance, but instead got a mish-mash of a convoluted romance and a sci-fi story as an after thought.
  • Lsmith0427
Couldn't make it to the end
Was this sci-fi or romance? I think neither. I didn't like the female lead's voice - she sounded like a 60yo smoker. Paired with the male lead, who sounded young and attractive, the romance between them (that happened about 4 minutes after they first meet) is unbelievable. The sci-fi premise had good things going for it, but the weird romance storyline ruins it all. I didn't finish listening to the story because I didn't care about the characters.
  • nah0987654321
    What was that?
Meandering story, odd romantic development right out of the gate and what was that ending? It was like a cheap knockoff of star craft but instead of scary aliens it’s just some moss monster.
  • Philosophy JR.
Likes it but laugh track was kind of annoying
I really liked the story but the laugh track got to my nerves having random people cackle in my ear was weird and honestly I’d rather just decide what’s funny my self then have suggested times to laugh
