Greatest Podcast On The Internet. Period.

These are the best storytelling shows ever! Some of them are out and out treasures worth keeping forever and passing them down to your descendants

So conflicted about this show. Awesome stories with top level production, but Glynn’s intro stories are so over the top as to seem incredibly self indulgent. Like many other reviews have noted, you may spare yourself the misery by skipping 6 to 7 minutes in to avoid the theatrics. Sadly for non pay to play listeners this shows producers and advertisers know how many are skipping introductions, so they are now inserting ads throughout the stories.

There used to be maybe 1 ad break. Now it’s like 3 in a 30 mins podcast. The timing is horrible and it’s so disruptive. If it went back to the way it was before it would 4 stars, easy.

I work in a hospital, although I have never experienced anything odd...I have always thought there have to be stories like this! A great share!

I’m just really annoyed that I paid for a subscription for Spooked and at a time where I didn’t even have very much money, but I knew that the episodes would get me through the times, week by week. Now all of a sudden I’m hearing all of these episodes again. And they’re all free all of a sudden not only am I bored, I feel cheated.

Great show…. But they repeat a lot and I wish they’d be more transparent when episodes are repeats.

It would be great to gift long time listeners with new content instead of releasing old episodes as “new”

Timing of the advertising spoils the mood.

There’s something about this coming out on a Friday that is equivalent to a warm blanket!! Glen’s voice is the icing on the cake.

Every new show is a repeat.

This show is so nicely done! The music enhancement is great! The story telling is engaging and the content draws my curiosity! I really appreciate how you use creativity and real life in wonderful tandem. I can’t-find anything similar that I enjoy more.

Mr. Washington does not need my praise, but this podcast is, in a word, wonderful. Go listen.

An escape from everyday life. I love listening to these podcasts. I can’t recall one I didn’t enjoy.

Excellent story telling from a true pro. But pleeeease lower the volume on the background music - halfway through the story I’m giving up because the music is so loud it’s competing with the story. It’s ruining it. The music is ruining the story. I know that’s not what’s supposed to be happening. Please fix it. I love Spooked.

I absolutely loved this show when it aired exclusively around Halloween. Unfortunately now that it’s year-round they seem to be struggling for convincing stories. Just listened to an episode where someone was having electrical/appliance issues in their house…sounded like they needed a tradesman not a saging. Silly stuff.

I hate cleaning and turning this on, I clean. Now I want to more about Glenn’s dark stories. Yes, some of the stories are not as compelling, but nonetheless I am dispoointed every time there is it a new episode.

This is one of the best podcasts for story telling out here. Along with its sister podcast, Snap Judgement, a person can be at the edge of their seat, waiting for what comes next. Thank you for doing this. I never turn the lights out now.

My favorite spooky stories place

Maybe less is more. It was probably better when shows were in a limited season run. The opening story from host is sometimes way too much. And please keep out any political digs. We know where all the media stands….way too the left….we don’t need to be reminded. I want my podcasts to be an escape from the political world, not a reminder

I love this podcast! Ive always been a believer of ghost stories and I also have experienced a few that have entertained my friends. I don’t know if mine can make the cut of some of these amazing stories but maybe one day i’ll submit one or two. lol Sorry Glen, as much as I love the show, I feel like you’re just doing too much. It’s like you’re trying to tell these spooky stories as if we are sitting around the campfire and the stories aren’t as good as the stories that were submitted. I like hearing first hand accounts from real people- not campfire stories. But it still gets 5 stars because many of the stories are that good.

Obsessed with the weekly episodes!

THERE IS A REASON this is so big. Its just fantastic. I used to hate Glen's stories at the beginning but now they have grown on me. His story about his aunt, "the prettiest woman in detroit", absolutely gutted me. Now I look forward to his openers! This and Radio Rental are my go-to's for true stories. However....the Murmur was THEEE WORST show i have ever heard in this series. OMG. Terrible. But its so rare to get a truly terrible story that i am always excited for a new episode.

Downloaded the first episode I ever listened to on accident and have been hooked. By far superior to any other in its genre. They are doing a fantastic job of supplying content both interesting and fulfilling. Thanks!

Road trip binge. This is only show that my family will all listen to together. We have run through far too many episodes, but they keep on coming up with new ones.

I’m giving this 5 stars because I support the podcast as an endeavor. Great production value, good writing, and there will always be new listeners who can/will enjoy the experience many early listeners had. But yes the stories have gotten less spooky and less interesting and, frankly, more phony sounding. (I think most of the stories are fake but at least some are genuinely scary. In fact, there are at least 2 stories that are clearly told by the same person—the distinctive voice is easily recognizable—using a different name each time. But both stories are among the best.) But nothing lasts forever and Spooked can’t control the quality of story submissions so…..

Glynn Washington gives magnificent introductions to listener stories. Love the music too.

The intros are my least favorite part of the story telling. I skip it until the actual stories begin. Those stories are amazing!!

Anyone else notice the disembodied voice in the 12/27/24 re-release of Deer stand at 24:47? Could just be an audio disruption or if you are a believer something much more 😱

Stories are decent but host Doesn’t need to tell a story before every single episode. And WAY TOO MANY COMMERCIALS DURING EACH STORY.

I used to LOVE this podcast, so much so that when they moved all episodes to Luminary, I followed along, and I don't easily buy subscriptions to platforms like that. However, the incessant commercials in the newest episodes are really annoying. I know, I know they need sponsoship and all but every ten-fifteen minutes? The episodes are still half an hour or so, but 45 minutes because of all the commercials. For some reason, also, the stories aren't as interesting as they once were. I still listen, but I'm not as excited about it as I used to be.

Edit: I’ve been listening to this podcast since they did once a year spooked episodes on Snap Judgement (circa 2013ish) but the last couple of years, it’s been hard to listen to. I stuck through (and paid for) the subscription years on Luminary, only for those episodes to be released for free when it returned to Apple. And now the new episodes are just… not the same… sad. The recent home alone episode was particularly awful. This is my favorite podcast by far. I look forward to new episodes and I listen to them over and over again and always pick up on something I missed before. I recommend this podcast to everyone who asks for recommendations.

Love the podcast just wish he would not talk about politics we listen to podcast like these to get away from the real world not here more about it.

I’ve been a long time listener since the podcast aired, it used to be my favorite podcast however it has been going downhill. Especially this last season season of the wolves has been horrible. The episode home alone was more of a comedy skit than anything. Really annoying to see the way that they show is going now. Don’t think I’ll be a listener for long.

the host is so wonderful, i love when someone can speak beautiful about something seemingly mundane or even negative. it's like listening to slam poetry in the intro's and outro's. and the stories are so moving, eery, and colorful, though very dark as well. and i cracked up at "you know,l what, don't tweet, screw that guy!" 🤣🖤 much love to you and the team behind Spooked! from Florida 🫶

This podcast officially bottomed out with the home alone story…that was awful

I’m only five minutes into the home alone curse. And I’m literally chuckling in my car. This episode is some of the best writing and so funny. I enjoy every single episode. I wish they came out more often.

I’ve been listening to this podcast for years - the music and story teller transport me into another world. I get emersed in the imagery, like a dream and many times that becomes a relief from from the days events. Thank you so much for the distractions, they are very much appreciated.

I have loved listening to this podcast, there’s none like it. That is until all of the commercials started interfering. It’s one thing to put ads prior to the story but another to put several within the story. It just deflates the experience.

Long time spooked listener. I have loved this podcast for many years for many reasons, one of them being the lack of or very few commercials. The most recent episode started with FIVE commercials and had 3 more commercial breaks with 3-4 each in a 30 minute episode. I get you have to pay the bills but wow, what a drastic difference.

I’ve never found a more captivating and well produced podcast ever. In this genre it’s not even close - it’s by far the most spooky, most interesting, and most unique podcast to date. Glynn Washington is seriously my favorite host/dj/best narrator I’ve ever found. I only wish there were more episodes a week!

Great podcast. Nice easy listening to spooky stories. Love the narrator. Reminds me a little of Radio Rental which is great because I’ve listened to all those and looking for a something similar.
