Underwhelming. Trying too hard to be funny
Much better alternatives out there - TRIP, News Agents, even Coffee House Shots.

    Slanted viewpoints
I used to really enjoy this podcast back when it was Brexitcast and even in the last couple of years as Newscast. But it seems the last few months or so, the viewpoints feel less and less balanced and more and more slanted in a left leaning direction.I've always looked to the BBC for a balanced approach, but it seems Newscast is following suit with a lot of the other BBC articles I read on the News app. Sad and disappointing.

    My Favorite Podcast
I’m a longtime American devotee of your show and just want to thank you for expanding to the weekend. The crisis period we’ve all lived through rolls on, and nobody really can say when things will stabilize. The high standard of journalism set by the BBC is more essential than ever.

    Poor Harry??! 🤮 🤮🤮🤮
Are you joking? He’s had a “tough 3 decades”? Cry me and 99.9 % of ALL humans a freaking river. Poor Harry. Not. He’s been babied, spoiled, never went hungry, tired, homeless, never had to pay a bill or work a day. He’s never been made accountable for all the rotten choices he made, he marries a person who anyone w a brain thought “she’s going to ruin his life” and she is. Remember this is HIS version ONLY! He and MEEEgan have been proven liars. I want to like your podcast but this episode is a nightmare. Oh my, William and Harry, brothers, had an argument and fought? William broke Harry’s “necklace”, he fell on a dog bowl??? That is a Tuesday in many people’s homes. Wm called Harry a “name”, Charles didn’t “hug” him when telling him about their mother??? Harry NOW puts the entire RF at even more risk of being attacked because Harry couldn’t wait to tell people he killed 25 Taliban members. If that is his proudest moment, that’s pathetic. He didn’t do it alone. I never thought I’d be one of those mad reviewers yet here I am. The only thing worse and more embarrassing than wasting my time writing a review, is following that creep Harry at all.

Helps me figure out UK politics
I am an Anglophile living in Los Angeles, and I have been baffled watching all the events in Summer 2022. This podcast really helps me to understand the politics and people behind it all. Great fun to listen to when walking.

    Bring back Brexitcast
So good to have Brexitcast back with the old gang. I listen to you from the USA and suspend listening when it is “just” Newscast.

Love the insightful and humorous reporting
While I have not lived in the UK for 40 years, I still feel a strong connection to the UK and Europe. Loved the very informative and long drawn out reporting on Brexit from your team. Obtaining good reporting on the Covid-19 pandemic in the US is difficult as the majority of news organization are very focussed on the domestic situtation. I look forward to listening to your podcast while extreme social-distancing at home over the next months.

We learn with you (God is Love)
In America, we can see that the US & UK are having some earthquakes politically. You are my ancestral homeland, but I’ve never set foot in Belfast where my grandmother grew up in WW2 before she emigrated. If I have money someday I will visit Peru, Jerusalem, Alsace (other ancestors’ home), Istanbul (some of my ancestors’ home), Ethiopia, Ukraine, Belfast and Scotland, Wales and finally England. I hope to be a good American who respects people. In shallah (God willing)

Please stop talking over one another
ABSOLUTELY LOVE the insight!!! Soooo helpful for this Brit living in the States to keep across what’s happening. Thanks! But... and I’m reluctant to say anything as iLOVE this podcast... it would be a tad easier to follow if you stopped talking over each other. I spend a lot of the time rewinding 15 secs to catch what one of you was saying. But perhaps it cause it is so good that I’m desperate not to miss a word. Sometimes it seems the interruptions happen because you all (in the studio/on the line) know where the one talking is going... but we don’t always know the point until you finish. Oh, and please explain what you mean by “klaxon”. Sometimes it seems to be a horn but not always. Thank you though!

    An overseas Conservateer
Thank you for bringing the election and brexit closer to one who moved to America 27 years ago! You’re unique perspective allows me to see both sides of HM coin. Listening to Laura and from the European view, allows me to listen and often scream at my car as I drive to and from work daily. The older I get (I’m 50), the more conservative I am. I see how my former country has shifted from left to right to the horror of Jeremy Mao’s little red book, and I shake my head. Don’t quit. Keep it up! This ex-pat is really proud of y’all. Disagreed re Clinton
I enjoy the podcast, but I disagree with analysis of Clinton. Her talk is self interested, trumpian.
  • mrespian
    Making sense out of complexity
The podcast brings clarity to this fast changing issue, explaining and clarifying the legal issues, the political wheel and dealing, and the personalities of the protagonists. The reporters do so in a friendly relaxed format while displaying their deep knowledge and research A first class podcast I find compelling listening Thanks

    Brexit Means Brexit
I LOVE this podcast, it’s the only way I could get my head around the whole debate around Brexit. And what’s great about it, living in the US, I don’t always get to read the British Headlines. So Brexitcast comes out with an emergency episode in case there is breaking news on Brexit. I also love how Laura Kuenssberg seem to record sometimes in taxis, makes it more real. So come join the Brexitcast gang so we leave the EU. Sound the Klaxon.

    Thank you
Thank you for all the podcasts you’ve been doing recently. You have done three in the last four days. I really appreciate the updates and I know it’s hard for you guys to get together to do them but they really help I think all of us to try to understand this incredibly complex situation.

    Self censored
The biggest march in London’s history and it was about about Brexit: not a mention. Wow. I’m beginning to think these four are Tory drunk and just want a deal so they can sleep.

Glad we are both in this mess together !
Thank you for a wonderful informative and entertaining podcast that reminds me that we are not alone in dealing with political chaos here in the states !

    Dear BBC,
Why do I trust your news/journalism so much more than news in the states? I’ll take your answer off the air...🤡 -Les Couchon- 💄🐷🍒👠

    Love Brexitcast
As an American who spends half a year in the UK, I love this podcast as it explains all details of Parliament and Brexit and referendums and House of Commons perfectly. I feel very prepared for my next visit (arriving a week before the 31st) and feel I could easily participate in any Brexit convo with my English friends. Thank you and keep up the amazing discussions, banter and fun!
  • France<33
Extremely informative and down to earth
These guys and gals know exactly what they are talking about try, especially because they are always in the ground in the places that matter.
  • KaLGio
    Biased
I think Brexicast used to be informative and relatively objective. Now, there's a complete Tory, specifically Johnson bias shown in every episode. Laura in particular will not say a negative word about Johnson's performance.
  • Domic57
It’s ‘the dog’s bollocks’ — in the nicest possible way.
The best, most informed and intelligent commentary. Although I hear the excellent Laura, Katya, Adam and Chris on the tellly and Radio 4, it’s refreshing to hear them be able to cut loose a bit and use the ‘I’ voice—their own very informed options in a conversational banter. The chemistry great and I learn a great deal. Keep it up!

    Lazy!!!!!
What in the world??? With all that is going on SILENCE so you can have your two months “holiday”??? Is this really important or is your seaside view more important, should we really care? Where are you????? Is a new PM so unimportantly you don’t care, why should we care? Now you are relaxed Ed, now it is important?????? WHERE ARE YOU ????????????????????????????????

Confused American left slightly more confused but overall satisfied and entertained
American here! When May resigned I asked in a Facebook politics group if there was a podcast that could help me understand what effect it would have on Brexit. So began my journey into Brexitcast. I listened to the most recent episode and then promptly decided to do a deep dive and start at the beginning. Not quite caught up yet but this podcast is thoroughly delightful, edifying, and entertaining. For us Yankees, it’s refreshing to follow politics that don’t involve our disaster of a country right now. The hosts are charming, passionate, and easily transfer their nerdy energy onto the listener, who never knew how interested they were in trade negotiation until Adam Fleming busted out his binder.

    Great Podcast
I started listening to the Electioncast, which then evolved into the Brexitcast. A Light, fun, but very informative podcast. Brings out the important news without being too heavy. Very enjoyable. I’m a British guy living in Mexico and this is my weekly news fix.... thanks guys

    It’s sooo good!
Brexitcast is amazing! I literally get brexitxast withdrawal whilst having to wait in between episodes!

An amazing blend of information and entertainment
Against the backdrop of ABSOLUTE SCENES in Westminster, Brexitcast manages to provide a unique island of calm where you can catch up with the latest goings on in everyone's (least) favourite drama over a refreshing metaphorical cocktail and slice of cake. Always informative, regularly laugh out loud funny, and never taking itself too seriously: the BBC at its best.
  • Erewhom
    Irritating yak yak
While there are often useful insights, It can be hard to detect them in the chit chat and giggles. Why not treat this historic moment with a little more seriousness? Perhaps the BBC Is simply reflecting the inability of the British people to understand the irrevocable steps they are taking to global insignificance. And if so, it would do the country a favor to treat the subject with less levity. It is also unpleasant to listen to breathy chuckles.
  • Brexit Anorak
    Essential listening
Essential listening to find out the Westminster and Brussells insight for this week' season finale of Brexit
  • Jodeshab
    Incomprehensible blather
3-5 people all talking over each other, constantly interrupting each other and laughing obnoxiously, with very little substance
  • Aitkenjw
    Brilliant
Almost as entertaining as the whole brexit shambles itself. If you didn't laugh about it you'd cry. Can't wait for the movie.
  • Hawkmount
    One of the best...
This is one of the best podcasts analysing one of the momentnous developments of British post-war history. These journalists know their subject and express it well, but without taking themselves too seriously. wonderful

Great Brexit Podcast - Florida Listener
Greetings from Florida(yes it’s as hot as you’d probably imagine). Despite being a US citizen and the fact I’ve never visited the UK. I’ve been obsessed with British politics and Brexit in particular for a little while now. I love the laid back vibe of the podcast, the hosts chemistry, how they explain things, have guest, and will even do “emergency” shows if a crazy event unfolds. - Tyler in Pensacola, FL

    My new obsession
A great big "thank you" to Chris, Adam, Katya, and Laura for this really wonderful podcast. As an American who can't bear to look at our own headlines every morning, the ability to hear about the ongoing soap opera of Brexit is balm to my nerves. I know how hard all of you must work - it is appreciated.
  • crazyoncoffee
    Amazing Brexit Podcast!
Thanks for an informative and lighthearted podcast! For some reason I thought the guardian’s podcast would take itself less seriously and the BBC’s more, but I was wrong. Really good stuff Can’t wait for the spinoff: ‘AdamCast: Hear How Wonderful I Am’
  • spgoodall
Gives me the important updates from across the pond!
Only wish they were more frequent!

    Well done (prec·i·pice)!
Nevermind the naysayers. I look forward to every Brexitcast with glee. Very informative and yet balanced with a dig into the details and a sense of humour. Well done Adam with T. Blair interview. Love him or hate him Blair laid out the reality pretty clearly. Thanks Adam for not taking us off the precipice into what would have normally been a formal and ultimately stodgy and boring interview. Keep up the good work team. Charlie (a Scot living in San Diego).

Another reason to look forward to Fridays
Each week, an informative delight. It's like establishing a chance acquaintance with a group of cheery friends on the RMS Titanic who, with each encounter, entertain you with sharp, clever, witty insights into the properties and proximity of ice.

    Godsend
Brexitcast is a godsend. I absolutely love it. As a European who moved to the UK after 8 years in NYC, I have had a hard time to adjust to the ridiculous reality that is Brexit. Keep bringing the best reporting! Love Katia Adler’s little rants, they are the best.
  • DaveyWavey-9666
One of the highlights of the Podcasting Week
I always look forward to this ‘cast arriving in my inbox. The hosts provide a fun but always informed overview of the week’s activities in the process of the U.K. leaving the EU
  • fredburgram
    Good updates
Upside - a good weekly summary of where things stand with Brexit and very good in-depth analysis of specific issues. Downside - somewhat Brussels-centric and biased towards the EU point of view. But overall worth a listen.
