Spiffy TLarry needs to share the micI listened to the June 26 episode and maybe this is just a reaction from having to listen to way too many people who “add value” by never closing their lips in my work life, but it was painful listening to Larry. He had an opinion on everything, it’s presented as fact, he doesn’t let the cohost get a word in. If you had to do a show with only one host, he should be your guy because he truly does not need or heed anyone else’ opinion. I get it, he has written production books about the 90s show and is an expert on Star Trek, especially in his own mind, but a little Larry goes a long way.

annmarie222"Alright..."!!!i started out a 1 podcast kind of woman slash die hard greatest generation fan(atic), but it got me so excited that other people exist who love hilarious star trek references that i googled nyc start trek bar trivia and found an event (which was one of the most fun and hilarious nights ever, by the way....the organizers and geek life rules are amazing!!!!)...anyway...i decided i needed some TOS schooling (without captain kirk distracting me!!!), so i turned itunes for some related recommendations and found The Ready Room. (btw...looooove that podcast, too! and i'll have you know that i'm getting to be a real star trek trivia contender thanks to your entertaining tutelage:)!!). ...anyway, since DS9 is obvi the most amazing work of art of all (and because i always want more DS9 in my life), I had to check out The Orb the second I heardd about it! ...This podcast totally blows me away every time I turn it on! Chris and Matt are so thoughtful and really go above and beyond with their preparation and research and amazing ability to continue to come up with great creative new ppdcast "episode" (if that's what they're called?) topics. Above all, I can't get enough of their sense of humor!!!! You have to have really mastered the 100s of hours of Star Trek universe material to be able to make so many brilliant deep cut jokes!!! ...Oh and also it's so relaxing and adorably endearing when Chris says, "alright" to reign in the tangential conversations! Thank you guys! Your dedication/devotion is very much appreciated! And maybe start sprinkling in more impressions, Matt, if your "Breeen" was anything to go by!! I've been giggling about that all week! Amazing!!...The only thing I'd add is that I can never make up my mind who I'd rather date...Quark or Garak...--->please discuss. (...who you would choose, i mean, ...and not my choice of dream date (since i'm assuming that everyone asks themselves this questions and not just me!)).

Rpm743Amazing show! 🖖I listen to podcasts all day while working and this is the one that I most look forward to. My social group isn’t that nerdy. Trek.FM is my fix. I know it’s been a struggle to put the ready room together lately. I want Chris to know that this is a much loved and anticipated show. I’ve listened to every episode. Live long and prosper 🖖

KCTrekieFMKansasCityTrekThe original and still the most essential of all the great shows on Trek.fm. So glad to hear Mr. Jones back on the air! Thanks for all the entertainment your network has provided! You don't know how important it has been in so many lives.
-
DT62Out of Touch HostsMost recent podcast as of 06/13/16 discusses the new Trek and its future behind a network paywall. The hosts both come off as shills who come close to outright insulting fans who oppose this.
-
Guybrush T.Wonderful Trek podcast! The Ready Room is one of the few podcasts I simply can't wait for. I absolutely love all the lively discussions.
-
OMEGA SAM87Making it so with passion for the Trek Universe!Excellent commentary and in-depth discussions of Star Trek Episodes, Characters, Themes, Technology, etc. Trek fans definitely give this Podcast a listen! My only reservation is the lack of guest hosts, it would be nice to feature a guest host every episode; a listener selected at random perhaps to offer a fresh opinion to the sometimes predictable views of the veteran hosts.
-
grievousfan91Fantastic Star Trek discussionThe Ready Room is the ultimate Star Trek podcast! It's great for both discussion on the latest Star Trek news and for in depth commentary on the entire Trek canon. The Ready Room, along with the rest of the Trek.fm network, provides the high quality content every Star Trek fan is looking for.

-
EmilyReadsGreat overall Trek podcastI have been listening to various Trek.fm podcasts for months now, and slowly making my way through the back catalog of The Ready Room. It is a really great trek podcast! I love the variety of hosts and perspectives on the shows, and it is really nice that it rotates between all five series. I often find myself laughing out loud while listening, yet it still manages to also balance out with serious discussions of the episodes. I look forward to more episodes in the future!
-
Saruman2.0Fun an Insightful!I can't praise this podcast enough. After only 1 podcast I am hooked. These hosts are the real deal, tried and true Star Trek fans and they bring together their unique experiences to make an insightful, thought provoking podcast that is fun to listen to as well as humorous at times. I rate them 5 out of 5 rings of power!

2 of 10The Best keeps getting BetterI have been a big fan of "TRR" for a long time and finally decided to sing it's praises! CBryanJones and his guests really dig deep into all 5 series. And manage to never hit the reset button so each and every show is new and fresh. I never tire of "TRR" and I learn something new with each new episode

LostFreedomLike the RandomnessI'm a huge trekkie, I love the random show discussions
-
ladybearsfanEntertaining and informativeInformative Star Trek news and entertaining topics and guests. I listen at work and in the car and helps make the day more joyable as I don't really have any friends that enjoy Star Trek as much as I do, so this is a good place to get a Star Trek fix in for and enjoy that all the star trek series and movies are covered.
-
ETnSKVLETnSKVLThe Ready Room provides a very welcome in-depth review of all things Trek. Whether relating Trek to 24, or talking at length about If Wishes Were Horses, there is always something to talk about in The Ready Room.
-
tarheel-trekThe FlagshipI discovered trek.fm podcasts about six months ago and have been listening religiously ever since. The various shows have quickly become my drive-time entertainment of choice. A91R8H8Can't Live Without my TrekFMI've been listening to some of TrekFM's podcasts since early last year. I listen to them while I'm driving on my way to and from school. I find myself so engrossed in the conversation, and I wish I was there! The people who work on this podcast are real Trekkies/Trekkers too, making the conversation all that more interesting because of their knowledge of Trek lore.
-
SciFiFan203Great podcastThis podcast is a must listen for any Star Trek fan. The ready room covers all the Star Trek shows and movies.
-
Chappy5574A sample of what Trek.fm has to offerIf you only have time to listen to one show, then make it the Ready Room. Its a great sample of what the network has to offer. From news and views, to episode commentary, and topical discussions, the Ready Room is for you. Make it so.

-
wldkt1Enjoyable General Trek PodcastI enjoy the discussion of Trek in general and love how it keeps me up to date on the latest Trek news. I also like that it will discuss all the different Trek series, so I can keep an eye on series that I don't 'like' enough to subscribe to a whole podcast.
-
ryan123450The number one Star Trek PodcastIf you only listen to one Star Trek podcast, this should be it. The hosts are great, and they have very interesting guests. News and discussion in every episode, along with the fact that this is only one of many podcasts on this Trek.fm network. Find your favorite!
-
Danté HopkinsA regular chat about TrekThis podcast is like sitting with a group of friends who like Star Trek as much as you do and talking about a particular episode of a particular series. For people like me who don't have such a group of friends, this is a great way to hear what Chris and his great roster of guests co-hosts from all over Trek fm feel about episodes of Trek. I look foward to the news and topics each week, and Chris you do a great job of making each episode engaging and an all around fun discussion. Great work :)
-
wsjinamesFun, professional, and general interestThe host of The Ready Room is hugely knowledgable and does an excellent job. This is an entertaining program with a “news” segment followed by a “content” segment (usually an episode review). The only disadvantages of the format are that the news segment makes the shows less timeless and it is assumed that you are familiar with the episode. There is no overt recap or clips. (I would prefer at least a brief plot summary.) This is pretty consistent across the whole trek.fm network of shows. Nonetheless, a great listen.

Section 47Trek fixThank you The Ready Room for helping me get my Trek fix! I love the format of the show and the excellent production quality. I love the mix of guests and appreciate the range of conversation from lighthearted banter to serious in-depth analysis. A rich show for a rich universe. Keep up the great work! P.S. Could you explain the origin of the "Barrel Role" and "the other side of the room?" Thanks again!
-
Skorpio96"I will take your Podcast back to Andoria!"I challenge listeners to search for any other podcast out there that brings high quality production, genuine Star Trek fandom, and regular episode updates all wrapped together with the fun of barrel rolls, Bosom Buddies, and random Andorian fight scenes! This show blends together a rundown of current Trek events each week along with insightful and thought-provoking commentary on THE 47 years of great Trek adventures. Never a dull moment on this show regardless of which Trek series you call your favorite. Any true Trek fan will quickly put this one at the top of their podcast directory.
-
Dr. Sci-FiLove the rotation schemeI really enjoy how The Ready Room rotates through the five main series of Star Trek. It keeps it fresh and exciting to tune in each week.
-
Gary4278Intelligent PodcastChristopher is a delightful host and has equally engaging guests. Professional sound quality and editing. Smart and insightful commentary. I really enjoy all of the Trek.fm podcasts.

Captain KolothIt's Number OneSimply the best out there. If you like Star Trek enough to be reading this review, this podcast its the one for you. This is a high quality, entertaining and informative podcast hosted by knowledgeable individuals who really know their Trek backwards and forwards. It's a joy to listen to and absolutely not to be missed. If you have a ready room of your own, listen to this one- it's your Number One.
-
theFace022Used to be my favorite, not what it used to be.This used to be a fantastic podcast but now seems to be faltering under its own weight. Episode discussion used to be in depth and informative, but now it's just a string of the same tired off-topic jokes unless Larry Nemicek happens to be a guest. The news features are the same - forced humor abounds. Their recent sponsorship has resulted in a 5-10 minute segment extolling the virtues of a particular company, though that is at least skippable. It's a shame because this used to be my favorite Trek podcast. Other shows on the Trek.fm network are still good. Something about this one has changed. It seems to be more for them than for the listeners, and while I find that to be perfectly valid I still don't have to listen.
-
Trey34Great show and great hostOne of the best all around Trek podcast on the web! The host are very knowledgable. They always have great insight, and the news section is unbeatable. Try it you will love it!
-
captsfufpVaried and interesting podcast! This is a great "grab bag" of a Star Trek podcast! Whether its news, episode review, interview, or random commentary, there is always something to look forward to in the Ready Room. I love the diverse and rotating co-hosts, always bringing something new!
-
bigmoneygripKeeping you up in the TrekWorldThis podcast serves to entertain and inform any of us folk who are Trek fans. It's well worth a listen.
-
jennie_zOne of the best all-aroud Trek podcastsNews, reviews of shows and movies, full of great Star Trek discussion from start to finish. Never dull or dry; not too serious nor silly. A great listen!
-
mrushing02The best Trek Podcast out thereI want to ask Greg, Chris, Charlynn (Pièce de résistance herself), Tristan, Drew, Morn and all the other regulars their forgiveness for not writing a review sooner. Nothing will have you in stitches faster than the barrel-rolling and command-robe-wearing that happens so frequently on this show. There are too many inside jokes to name. So for the love of all that's Trek, open your Downcast app on your PADD and get this podcast. Whale-Probe talk aside, this is an informative and ridiculously funny podcast that also can lead to some very deep discussions. Kirk-Bear awards it ten Vulcan monastaries and if you don't know Kirk-Bear then you need to download this podcast and find out.
-
earl_grey_earlAwesome, indeed.I love these guys. They have such a wonderful tingly sense of humour, exactly my style. I started listening about two weeks ago after following Charlynn over from the Delta Quadrant podcast. She was the Piece da Resistance of the show. I love the structure and especially the sound and production quality. Such a difference from other podcasts. I had no idea that a podcast could sound so professionaly. Keep up the great work and I'll keep listening. Ka'pla

Sarek of VulcanA Top Notch Star Trek PodcastThe Ready Room is a lovingly crafted Star Trek podcast that is funny, intelligent, thoughtful and thought-provoking. Unlike some other podcasts, it avoids vulgarity and holds its subject in high regard, while not being afraid to criticize Star Trek when it is due. The hosts appreciate perhaps the greatest strengths of Star Trek: its humanism and its examination of social issues and the human condition. Three cheers for Chris and Greg for integrating humor, insight, and hard work into their very fine podcast.
-
xrex1995Great podcastI've been learning more about Star trek in this podcast. They keep me inform with news and variety.Star Trek it's way beyond movies and tv shows and you guys teach that to us each week.
-
ohtheprofanityThe go-to podcast for all things TrekWhether it's news, in-depth analysis, or silly fun, this podcast does it all. You won't find better quality, both in sound and in content. Chris and Greg are top-notch hosts, and their roster of guests are always entertaining (and I'm not saying that just because I've been on the show! I'm talking about the other guys.) Definitely add this to your podcast regimen if you enjoy Star Trek.
-
LizanneCallahanDamnit Jim! I'm a doctor, not a clever title!I was introduced through friend of the show, friend of mine, Mr. Michael Fisher. I am a newish fan to Star Trek (the Reboot got me into TOS), so most of the time I have no idea what anyone is talking about. BUT, there is so much love and respect for this cherished world that Roddenberry created, that I am sucked in and can't stop listening. It can range from serious, informative and quite intellectual, to downright silly. So thank you! :D
-
Cerebral PaladinIt's GreatGreat and entertaining way to keep up with the latest and greatest in the Star Trek world.
-
ShaunN3FFA great star trek podcast!I've been a listener of Dork Trek for a while now and I've heard them talking about the Ready Room several times. I decided to check it out and it was the best choice I've made in Podcast listening in a long time. I love the in depth discussions of Trek news and rumours. I also enjoy hearing what the hosts and guests think of the various episodes and movies they review during the feature. I've listened to every episode they have put out in the last week alone and I'm glad I did. They introduced me to Five Year Mission. And, while I am not a huge fan of TOS, FYMs take on the TOS episodes is great! I'm listening to Year Two now. Keep up the great work!
-
mcblakemore1970Great podcastI look forward to listening every week. I especially like the chemistry between the two hosts. They also have news about the new movie like how much trouble Christopher Pine is causing on set (wink)
-
aslan16Very informative podcastI heard about this podcast through another great one called Treknologic, and have just begun listening to the episodes. I find that the hosts work well together and the atmosphere is very friendly. They thoroughly prepare the news and background information, so each episode is informative. Great guests from the Star Trek world round out the show. On the Trek.fm forum I enjoy the trivia, polls and newsletter very much. I'm glad I found out about this podcast, and I would definitely recommend it to any fan looking for in-depth info and commentary.
-
PaulMc7Thank you guys!Hey Guys, Terrific work…the Trekker does not have as many places to go as we once did for updates on our favorite series. Star Trek is a phenomenon and we appreciate you guys for keeping it that way. Podcasting is a great way to keep serial Star Trek from disappearing into history along with so many other good shows the same timeframe. Thank you both for being so dedicated. P.S. Greg is adorable!
-
WeatherServo9Warp SpeedGreat professional-quality Trek podcast. Even though they may go on for a couple of hours, they're so enjoyable to listen to that the time flies by.
-
Admiral RexTrek.fm is the best Star Trek podcastI've been looking for a really good podcast about Star Trek for the last couple of years. I was getting so frustrated that I was considering starting my own. I recently discovered Trek.fm and found what I've always wanted in a Star Trek podcast. The two hosts are very knowledge about all of the Trek series to really hold an insightful, intelligent discussion. They also cover Trek news and produce the shows to professional scale. I'm catching up on all of their previous episodes and have not found a dud yet. I wish there would be more discussions on the expanded universe in the novels. Maybe they can produce a monthly or quarterly series about the novels with hosts that are deep into the book lore. Keep up the great work!
