Excellent (more so than other podcasts (which I also love))
This (the sole episode of this show (which is called "88% Parentheticals" (in case you didn’t know already))) is some of the best work Sarah Koenig has done (and while I can call myself a fan (I have listened to This American Life (which was incidentally the first podcast I listened to (on the advice of my brother (who also tried to get me to watch the show (which I never did)) because he had Showtime (I think (You know, it's wild to think that it's been over a decade since that series was on . . . . on TV)))) and the first season of Serial (which lead me down a completely different rabbit hole and single-handedly kicked off our current true crime renaissance)) I would definitely not consider myself a super fan (a term I never hear being used for podcast presenters (which is a shame because there are some great podcast presenters out there (two of my favorites being Dan Carlin (he was literally my favorite part of the revived "Twilight Zone" (once I realized it was him, anyway)) and John McWhorter (who took over the amazing "Lexicon Valley" podcast after Bob Garfield left for WNYC's "On the Media" (and looking back I often wonder, was "Lexicon Valley" just a side gig for him in the meantime? Or did he ditch the show about language to do something that has a far greater reach (in terms of listenership, anyway (as I content that (geographically speaking) no digital media has any larger reach than global)))))))) and I look forward to the next episode in this (hopefully unlimited) series.

    (Great)
She does it again. Brilliant work by Sarah in her most compelling audio work yet that explores the continuing mystery of language as it expands and contracts in a never ending cycle of inversion.

Part of 99% Invisible Ep #350
While we’re all wishing there may be a episode 2, there isn’t likely going to be one. This show is part of Roman Mars’s 99% Invisible Episode 350 - “Mazda Virus”. If you want the full story I suggest you download and listen to it. Better yet, subscribe to that excellent podcast while you’re at it.

    Lol
The rambling cracks me up; I'd actually listen to this podcast. I love the episode they used this for on Reply All!

    am I missing something?
One 2-minute episode and now, 60 days later, nothing else? Seems like proof that we may have reached...and gone past...peak podcasting. I could kinda get on board with a 2-minute micro-episode format if it was daily.

I need to know what happens!
The storytelling is brilliant and I can’t wait for more episodes!

Great (though I feel like I need more content)
I loved this first episode (It's amazing to be in on the BEGINNING of a podcast. It's like that feling when I bought the first issue of "OMAC" comic back in the 1970s - I had dreams of it becoming worth tons of money like the first Batman comics.) Anyhow the story is captivating (not that I NEED it to be captivating, even mildly entertaining would be good) and although I am not familiar with the narrator (is she well known? Should I look her up on IMDB or something? Is there sort of a podcast equivalent of IMDB? That would be REALLY useful actually. I tend to really like podcasts and the way they are connected - for instance this podcast reminds me of 99%Invisible. Is there supposed to be a space after the % sign BTW? As a programmer that makes me wonder if that would cause problems.) Anyhow her voice and delivery style is really smooth. (I would totally be interested in hearing more podcasts from her.)

    Serial season 4, episode one
This is shaping up to be the best season of Serial, IMO (although really nothing is more *fascinating* than Jay’s lying, really, but there’s something inherently stressful about the whole thing, at least if you believe like I do that Adnan is innocent) and I think each episode will end up like this one (on a cliffhanger); curiously I heard this podcast will be rereleased under the title “ADD Storytelling” (or possibly that’s the working title of the season). Anyway, give it a listen!

Feels sinful in a good way!
Wow, something about this waste of time feels like desecration, but in a way that should be admired and emulated; like a sin but one which is really a good thing.

    So fun
I love knowing that Ms Koenig (or is it Dr Koenig?) also enjoys Reply All and was willing to add a star to their wacky galaxy.

I’ll wait 20 extra minutes for the next season of Serial for this
If this became Serial Series 4, I would be deliriously happy. Alex - I’d be ok if this made the season even 30 minutes late.
  • Thenameissarv
    Can I have more ?
I know this was not intended to ever happen again but it’s ridiculously amazing.
  • Swamp Critter
    Can’t wait...
What was in the envelope? What is the condition of the paper? Was it sunny making the paper reflect extract sun (that happened to me once and I couldn’t see for like 5 minutes).

    I totally want more
I know it’s a joke for the Mazda thing? But I really enjoyed hearing about Bruno, because I’ve always thought Bruno would be a great dog name too! And a meandering story in such a soothing tone is awesome. Also, what about the anonymous document?

He actually made a fake podcast with real Sarah about something entirely meaningless.

    Perfect 120 seconds
This is a hidden gem for sure. While waiting for the second episode, I have listened all three seasons of Serial

    Weird (...)
Weird (not that weird compared to things like my husband’s obsession with golf) flex (I should start working out again) but (and would work here, too) okay (i prefer the word spelled out to just “ok” and don’t fully understand the use of “thru” but still use it).

    Perfection!
I don’t usually write reviews. (Well, not for podcasts. Sometimes I do for amazon purchases, like the time I bought a pair of pajamas, but the sizing was way off. Why don’t they have standards for sizing? That would make it so much easier to buy clothes.) Anyway, this podcast was awesome!
  • MegaMaher
    100% Great
Best one of the Ones ;)
  • mckramer24
Perfect podcast (better than all other podcasts)
This was such a great podcast (compared with other podcasts I’ve listened to). Sarah Koenig (from Serial (which itself is a great podcast)) is great(!)
  • ricky-vb
    Ground Breaking
Definitely one I’ll be coming back to again and again.
