    I think it's interesting!
While I loved the interviews Emily did on her old podcast, Primetime is great and I'd just like more of it! Longer episodes and more of them🤗

    Dull and uninspired
Overly politicized and partisan. Acts like Washington is the center of everything.

Hi I love the show and would enjoy listening more if the logo was corrected to not deadname Emily!

    Great TV Podcast
I've been a big fan of Emily's writing and other work for a long time. I found her previous podcast "I Think You're Interesting" rather late in its run, but have really enjoyed going through the episode archives. The first season of "Primetime" was a great follow-up, and I look forward to future seasons (wishlist: medical dramas and the Mike Schur-verse). The episodes are brisk and informative, though I wouldn't mind if they were a bit longer (which is rarely the case with podcasts).

    Always wanted more
This was a different take on the presidency and contained interesting comparisons between presidents of several generations. However, I always wanted them to go a bit deeper. Often they would mention a tidbit of information and then leave it sitting there. Maybe a time constraint? Still an entertaining and informative podcast.

    Love the show!
Was excited to listen to each ep! Great mix of pop culture and history, and also current events. I remembered pieces of these stories, but this show brings it all together very nicely and puts them into context.

    Great idea/ execution
Really enjoyed the series! Season 1 was great but it felt like it really flew by. Bring on more eps! One question on word choice: Governacy instead of Governorship in the season 1 finale episode? I’ve never heard governacy before as a word.

    Leaves Me Wanting More
Both this and the “I Think You’re Interesting” podcast that VanDerWerff has done earlier are great and tell amazing stories in ways I wish more podcasts could. I wish the episodes of Primetime were longer, or that there would be more after this finale. Such a fun and informational show.

    Wish it was longer!
I absolutely love this podcast! It’s a really great listen but I wish it was longer (and I rarely say that about podcasts!) Love it!

    Stuck in the bubble
The first episode of this podcast was really quite good and left me hopeful that even though this was a Vox podcast, it still might remain mostly accurate and not overly tendentious. Unfortunately the most recent podcasts have been inaccurate and fallen into the gripes that most liberal podcasts tend towards. Like most vox podcasts the host is reliably left wing and never strays from the narrative even when facts clearly do not align with their steadfast viewpoint. The solution is to embrace diversity of viewpoints and have on hosts that are not always stuck in the same viewpoint bubble.

Another great podcast from Emily VanDerWerff
I found Emily’s previous podcast (I Think You’re Interesting) not long before it ended. I was an instant fan, and I have sorely missed it. I enjoy reading Emily’s work on Vox, but it was a delight to listen in on her insightful interviews and extended musings on the podcast. Emily is a true TV fan, with a somewhat unique perspective compared to other TV critics, as she discovered many shows at a later age due to a stricter than typical religious upbringing. Possibly as a result, her observations are more nuanced and less colored by childhood and adolescent nostalgia than most, and her analysis is deeply conscious of how TV shows relate to and reflect the culture of their time. This new podcast seems a perfect fit for Ms. VanDerWerff, and I am excited to add it to my podcast queue!

    Strong work, thoughtful and entertaining
A fun, insightful, succinct dive into how TV shapes our world. The first episode, on the West Wing and views of the presidency, was particularly strong in examining how the show fit in context with the times, including an important critique of what it missed and ignored. Worth your time, and on my “listen immediately” podcast list.

    Interesting Angle!
Enjoyed first episode and look forward to listening to the one focused on “24.” Can’t wait to see additional ones looking at “Designated Survivor,” “House of Cards,” “Scandal” (Olivia Pope = Michael Cohen?), “The Good Wife,” “Veep” and “Madam Secretary” and on and on and on. Thanks!

    Must listen!
The show is interesting and is off to a great start. What a great subject for a podcast. Can’t wait to listen to the next episode.
