Lombardi is too arrogant and talks down to Niner fans. He thinks he is better than us. I would really like to listen to Barrows, but as long as he partners with Lombardi…I won’t waste my time listening to the show.

With Dennis Brown, and two excellent writers; these guys know their stuff. An excellent podcast. We get an analytic perspective; a moral/cohesive team perspective, and barrows notes trends and history. A great combo!

I appreciate the insight and analysis this show offers but it has poor flow. It’s literally one person talking for a few minutes, then another, then another, without much dialogue. Each person has their own opinion or points to hit on but they don’t weave it into a good flow. The other issue with this pod in my opinion is Dennis’ portion. I appreciate the background a former NFL player brings, but he is unprepared, talks in cliches, and I often will skip through his 3-5 min dialogue just to get back to David or Matt. I feel like Dennis is unprepared, doesn’t have any stats or information that is factual (everything he talks about is subjective vs objective) and talks in too many cliches. I’m a fan of the content on the Athletic and will continue to subscribe, but this pod is not a good reflection of their overall body of work.

I listened to this podcast for a few weeks hoping for game analysis. It’s more along the lines of general comments and platitudes than breaking down specific plays and coverages.

Used to love this pod. Now it seems like they’re going through the motions. Episodes are getting shorter, ads breaks getting longer in the middle. Not keeping to a release schedule. Keep in mind, this is also a premium pod. Have a ton of respect for Lombardi & Barrows but this pod is feeling like an after thought. Dennis Brown just doesn’t fit in at all. He comes under prepared (or not at all) and just interrupts the conversation making a point that takes everyone out of rhythm. Much like Jimmy.

Maiocco is great but Ramirez is annoying. Chan could be better if she had more confidence; she comes across as uncertain even though she has good knowledge.

Matt barrows and Dennis brown are great. Move off Lombardi. He spends most of the time slapping himself on the back and giving out wrong information. He changes who is to blame based off the qb and their skin color.

This podcast is recorded while they’re out at lunch or in an airport or whenever. They’re obviously half-a**ing it. In todays podcast there was loud foreground noise of typing, paper tearing, etc. Just unlistenable. I’m an Athletic subscriber and they need to do better.

Great job guys. Best objective and intelligent coverage of the team. You guys should do at least twice a week, everyone would eat it up!

You guys are awesome. The fact that you are right there with the team on a daily basis makes this cast great. No hyperbole… just facts… The fact that you guys get right to the point takes this show to another level. I follow you guys on Twitter also. So glad I found this pod.

Love the personalities on this show. It’s a perfect blend of voices that make this podcast probably my favorite to listen to, and I listen to several 49er podcasts.

I think this is a great podcast, and it would be five out of five stars if Dennis Brown was just not on the show. He adds no value, and often what he says is completely without merit or fact. He just said the 49ers traded up to the number three pick to draft a wide receiver. Is he on drugs? Dennis Brown should go and this podcast would improve exponentially!!!

Such a level headed pod that is informative, entertaining and comprehensive. I wish it was on more but might actually take away from the quality. Less is more!
