    Vocal Fry
I listen to a lot of podcasts. Some podcasters spend hundreds of dollars on microphones and sound insulation but forget to make their voice pleasant. The podcasters on Smart Tech Today speak with pleasing voices 85% of the time. They have vocal fry 15% of the time. That tells me they could speak with normal voices all of the time, but don’t. Do they think it sounds pleasing? Do they not know? Or do they not care? It is jarring and unpleasant to suddenly hear an unpleasant voice. If content is good and there is a small amount of vocal fry, I usually double the playback speed using Overcast. With so many other good podcasts though, I usually unsubscribe.

Really looking forward to the promised video podcast! Subscribe please!
All the the Twit shows have great production values — great sound (and great video.). You can count on the sound levels to be even and the background noise to be minimal, even in the shows that have video. Really worth listening to if you want to settle in for a relaxed and informed show to fill up your long commute, chore list, or walk. All are filmed live but some shows are scripted & tight and some just go by an outline. (Which is hilarious when they go off the rails.) Haven’t heard this one yet. But Mikah and his buddy are fun and interesting. Pretty technical and geeky sometimes. We know them from iMore, iOS Today, and Clockwise podcasts, etc. And they are handsome and stylish too.😁 Minimal BSing but some friendly banter.
