-

brokejawEp 29 with Jennifer AllwoodI’m sorry to report that I had to quit listening 5 minutes into this episode. The technology was under par; Jennifer’s sound was loud while Lisa sounded like she was talking from the next room. The tinny sound and background static and clunks were too much for me to absorb the message. 🙁

PmotleyHow to be a godmotherI am loving these podcasts. The Lord is really been dealing with my heart about becoming a mentor to a couple of young ladies. In the next season, can you discuss some practical tips on how to best be a godmother to another young lady? Thank you!!!

professionalmammaNourishing to my spiritDear Lisa, I found this podcast a few months ago and it has been so nourishing to my spiritual journey. I love that your conversations reflect women from every walk of life, every age, as moms, as professionals, as godmothers. These conversations are a great reminder that there is no one-size-fits-all model to being the women God calls us to be. It’s awakening things buried inside me long ago, calling me to action, and expanding my faith. Thank you for your faithfulness!

ConsueloKrackerUnexpected blessingsThank you Lisa for speaking into my life once again! Saw the email about unexpected blessings and just heard it. Oh how those sweet words were what I needed to hear! The Lord loves us profoundly and does speak to us in ways that mean the most to us specifically. As I listened while doing dishes, a bird kept coming and flapping his wings outside my window. Birds are extra special to me. Thank you Jesus for sending one to me today to remind me of your deep love.

LilflckWhat a blessing this is!Although I received the notification this podcast was starting it did not spark my interest. Since the beginning of 2022, God has really been pouring into me about my calling. Just this past week he showed me how I haven’t had this type of mentor in my life. I’m always looking for someone who loves the Lord as much as I do, knows more than just a Sunday Christian, and wants to pour into a life. In my 42 years I haven’t found any such person, with the closest being my mom. I’m introverted and have no problem seeking God on everything, but this podcast has struck into me what I’ve been wanting. It has been such a blessing after only a couple of episodes. Thank you Lisa. ❤️

SarahHaglundGenuine Wisdom & Truth for a Motherless GenerationI consider Lisa to be my spiritual mama and friend and I love gleaning from her passion, wisdom, and experience. She genuinely cares about the next generation and I look forward to all of her podcasts for a line of hope when I am drowning in all things motherhood or life. I love listening to her wins and struggles in being a mom or life and how she lives out her walk with the Lord to overcome the hard days. She is fun, funny, and relatable and brings on amazing guests to learn from. I am in the thick of mothering 3 littles all under age 4 now and doing it alone from a physical grandmother/godmother perspective so it is so wonderful having this as a tool in my pocket to be encouraged by those that have gone before me to keep going. Especially on the hard days where it can feel really lonely and chaotic being a mom.... messages like this are essential. Thank you for your obedience to share to a (in a lot of ways) motherless generation. Your voice is absolutely necessary. Love it.
-

hadashabSo so so incredible!!This podcast and book has been so God breathed! I’ve received so many confirmations from the Lord just by listening to stories shared and encouraged by the women that have been on the podcast sharing about their walk with the Lord. He is so faithful! This podcast and book have come at such a divine moment in the world and in my life. I’m so grateful for what God has done in Lisa Bevere’s life and how He is using her to minister in my life and to unction the call of God on my life. It’s time for the women of God to arise. It’s time for mother’s to awaken. God is doing a new thing!

The PeeplesGodmothersThe book, “Godmothers”, along with the podcast series is exactly what I needed in this new season. Life for me has changed so much since February 2020, I really didn’t know what God wanted from me anymore and there were moments it seemed I was walking in circles. While reading the first chapter tonight, I couldn’t stop crying. It was as if He was speaking directly to me through your words, Lisa. There is such a burden on my heart for women, especially those younger, I just didn’t know what to do with it. Thank you for sharing your experiences and giving me something to emulate. You are a blessing to so many! I hope and pray I can be one of those links on the golden chain.

Lindo 4So refreshing for my soul...My heart has found such a refreshing word in the “Godmothers” book and this podcast. My heart was wounded and hurt after experiencing a massive church division. I was searching for an older Godmother to be able to look to and find answers. I found your book and every night would sit down, with relief and read it. Almost as if I was able to sit down with my “Godmother” and just talk and find hope. Thank you for your obedience and this podcast. As a 30 year old, mom of 3, with a hunger to serve God supernaturally, your message is a breath of fresh air, that brings guidance and hope.

StephGenniThank you.Thank you Lisa, again, for coming in with such mothering and love. Thank you for fighting for us and teaching us. I started listening to the Podcast with you and John recently and heard you mention these, so I just started. Just listening to the first one brought me to tears. The Lord has been speaking with me for a few years now about being a mother, and mothering those around me. And He has said(and others have prophesied) about how I am a “door way” or a “short cut” for others to not have to go through the things the hard way. So hearing you speak about that today was beautiful. But also, for years I have felt alone as far as not having a spiritual God mother, and today, with your invitation, I did finally feel like I found someone(you) that I could lean into and learn from. Thank you for committing to us, especially those of us who have been searching for years to find a wing to tuck ourselves under. It’s a relief, and a blessing. I could feel God’s smile as He saw my response to your invitation. Thank you 100x over. Love, Stephanie Welsh

Audry CeceI love this podcastThe Lila Rose épisode sealed the deal. Thank you, ladies, for not shying away from this difficult and controversial topic. I am so grateful to hear smart, faithful women speaking the truth in love. Overall this podcast is like a warm hug from a spiritual mama. Lisa is wise, level-headed, kind-hearted and not afraid to share about her own struggles and shortcomings. Such a beautiful and uplifting dialogue. Thank you!❤️

HopefulSuzPerfect TimingLisa, I bought the book but just getting started reading. This podcast is so timely and encouraging. Thank you for sharing your heart and like Addison said, “Your legacy.” Thank you again for working so hard for all of us.
-
Kimberlynne1I always find.....I always find a nugget of wisdom or encouragement that I can carry with me and use for my personal walk with Christ. Case in point, although there were many in this podcast ....I really liked the advice to on “finding the right metals” to sharpen with ...making reference to Proverbs 27:17 .......because we aren’t all “iron” because different metals are made to do different things.

D’LaneyThank you! Happy tearsJohn and Lisa, thank you so much. My mother was a drug addict(crystal meth) and I’ve never met my father. My brother and I have been separated for 15 years. While I was adopted and raised by my grandparents, I have always felt this gap in my heart. When I found you and your husband’s ministry I burst into tears. I finally had godparents to mentor me. I am especially thankful for this book and series. I can’t wait to dig deeper. When I have a family, I hope and dream to share with my children and others the love of God as you have with me.
-
BodyForChristGodmotherIn 2019 I was blessed with the honor of being invited to be a Godmother to two precious baby girls. I excepted with joy and fear; fear of not know how to fulfill this role in their lives. I don’t have children of my own & when I had a season of mentoring young girls I failed in disappointment because I was lost in my own life. I’m soon to be 42 and feel this emptiness & also fear of women. So I relate with you, Lisa when you speak on how you felt about women. I long for this breakthrough in myself, so to speak to get out of my own way so I may step into the role of a spiritual Godmother. This book is a answer to my prayer of needing guidance in how to step into the role of Godmother for these precious baby girls. Thank you!💛
-
momnaawof3On Target!I have been feeling this in my spirit!!! I have grown up with “godmothers” and now I’m looking around and noticing the gaps and then got hit with the realization that I need to be filling in that gap and getting others to fill for my children’s generation and on!! THANK YOU!! ❤️
-
MelanielunaxoSo on time! All I can say is this podcast and book is so the heart of God and it’s so timely! I am a millennial but before reading this book God has been teaching me about spiritual mothers and fathers and I had a longing to have one and become one for others. This book explains everything on how I was already learning in so much more detail! Thank you Lisa for imparting this into next generation!
-
Hisprincess2So needed!Thank you Lisa, for writing this book and expounding with the podcasts. This is something that is so needed by all women whether they realize it or not. Being equipped to be a godmother and have a godmother will change the lives of many women. It is my prayer that we as women will rise up for such a time as this. Thank you Lisa and John for the ministry resources that you provide and for being parents in the faith. God bless

Clarissa NagyGodmothersLisa Bevere addresses the powerful truths of generations coming together. Gaps exists from one age group to the next. We need godmothers and goddaughters to connect to fill in those places. Lisa speaks to the areas of how to receive and give by reaching into the generation above you and below you, no matter what your age. In a time of isolation, we need each other more than ever. If you're thinking, what do I have to give or offer? This podcast is for you. Lisa addresses the questions of self doubt and reminds us that it isn't about us at all. I highly recommend it to women of all ages. We need you. Listen to the podcast, grab this book so you can see why you need one and how to be one.
-
DonnajnmRight on timeThis has been stirring in my heart for some time. I’m taking on the mantle of Godmother for teen girls. I can’t wait to hear more!
-
Sara Lee 123You didn’t answer the big question!I love you guys apart and I love you even more together! You have such great conversations with one another and I love how close you two are. You guys even said it yourselves, you’re so blessed to have a good in-law relationship, but not everyone is. I thought you were going to touch on this topic a lot more, especially because it was in the title. For those women who have rough relationships with their in-laws, what advice do you have? I’d love to see a part 2 to this topic.
-
Momto5kiddosBe a godmother or get a godmother!!Lisa Bevere guides younger women in their faith and helps us older women understand the hope we can bring to others through sharing our walk including our victories and failures. God has a plan to use it all!! So thankful for Lisa’s heart for this mission in the kingdom. Listen to these podcasts and get the book, Godmothers!!!
-
EricaCiceroSo needed!Lisa is a spiritual mother to me and I have never even met her. I have found myself over the past few years reading and re reading her books and scrolling through her podcasts and talks on YouTube when I am in need of advice. I don’t have a mother who can or would be real, raw, and honest about everything I need to hear like Lisa does. I am so grateful to her and so thankful for this new book and podcast series. She is such a gift from God to so many Christian women, especially those who grew up with non Christian parents, in abuse environments, alcoholism and just Satan knocking on our door. Lisa helps so much so that I don’t make those mistakes that my parents did and I can walk in the other of Christ like the true daughter of God that I am. Love love love Lisa
-
