I turn this on every week because of Jackie. I turn it off half-way through because of Laurie. And why would I listen to something when the hosts complain about having to do it the whole time?

Like all good podcasts I found these lovely people through another podcast talking about them. Their podcast gets bumped to the top of my listening list every week. Laurie and Jackie are working comics and they chat about life and their careers. Thankful that I found them and gave them a listen.

Pro tip - even though new episodes drop on Monday, I like to save for Thursday, when the week has worn me down to the ideal listening headspace!

I love to laugh, and I love comedy, so I LOVE THIS PODCAST. This show is so fun to listen to, and makes me laugh out loud every time. You’d think someone who has spent thousands of hours (more?) in comedy venues and performing comedy wouldn’t want to listen to comedy talk, but in this case, I do, and I look forward to each episode. These women (Jackie Kashian and Laurie Kilmartin) are hilarious, grown-up, seasoned comedy pros, relatable humans! who have a sense of humor and professionalism about all of it, and a commitment to the art and craft and business of comedy; and they are honest about the uphill battles and the how great the victories feel and how weird the comedy biz is, but also how awesome it can be. I think it’s also amazing insight for people who aren’t comics, who want to hear about what it’s like, being a pro comic. (It’s funny and amazing and weird! And FUNNY.) So, if you like to laugh, yes, you will enjoy this one. 5 stars. Love them!

I love listening to the musings of these two gifted and hard working comedians. I especially love how they role model effortfulness. Great comedy doesn't happen by magic, it is a carefully honed skill. And money doesn't grow on trees, you have to sell merch! Love you two!!

Thanks to the hosts for raising the labor issues in comedy and publishing generally. One person works a year on craft, breaks even or less. Another phones in a shambles of a hate fest, and gets twenty million. It's almost like the craft has no bearing here. People think that's just the market, but they need to do some reading... markets are dead, we are in technofeudalism. Cancel Netflix, delete facebook. Buy art, don't "like" it.

How cool is it when different elements come together , I loved Laurie”s appearance , is appearance the right term ,on the Dollop , a special episode of the coffisioner , followed that to favorite murder , and introduced to Jackie on Monster Party ,now coming together in a one stop listening.

Laurie and Jackie becoming friends, sometimes reluctantly, is a real treat. A fabulous counterpoint to every asshat male comedian vomiting their opinions into the world.

Jackie & Laurie are BRILLIANT comedians and they give us the inside scoop on pro comedy. We never (otherwise) get this kind of inside look at comedy by people who aren’t men. Its refreshing!!! It’s like spending an hour with 2 friends who happen to be 2 of the funniest people alive. And Kyle is awesome, too!!!

I heard Jackie Kashian as a guest on a couple podcasts so I searched for her in other podcasts. I found The Jackie and Laurie Show and decided to give it a try. It is the perfect break from the true crime podcasts that I listen to. Jackie and Laurie have great conversations and banter!

I have no idea who the 3rd person is but it’s awesome to have the laughter. Way to go mystery man!

My daughter turned me on to Jackie & Laurie about 2 years ago and I’ve been hooked ever since. I love hearing about their lives as comedians and their lives in general. I appreciate their commitment to their craft, their communities and the people in their lives. I also listen to Jackie’s Dork Forest. They make my day every Monday. They are really funny and super human.

I started listening to this podcast because I enjoy Laurie Kilmartin's comedy and now I enjoy Jackie's as well. I like the two of them together and their honest conversation. I found their live show together lots of fun. I like their contrast in personalities. This podcast covers any topic they get into, but is interesting to me because it's most often their insights into the business of comedy from their perspective. I always laugh at them wondering how much time they have left to finish the podcast. I'm feeling the same way about this review they ask their listeners to write.

But I listen to this for Jackie. The other broad is too high and mighty cause she was a writer for Carson or something.

I want to be them when I grow up. (Please note, I am 1 million years old).

Their podcast is enjoyable and always gives an interesting look behind the scenes of touring stand-up comedians. Jackie and Laurie have a great chemistry. However, due to Laurie's recaps, I will never watch Outlander.

I like it all, but no jokes do I feel more viscerally than I do Laurie’s talking about stuff like “two free days” in the event of Corona virus.

It’s listenable until they spend 25 minutes on a serious subject they know nothing about 😬 Laurie complains about her son’s attitude in a way that leaves no question where he got it. They constantly check to see if they’re done and are ecstatic when they can stop.

Great show- love that they plug a comic each episode. Great discussions, intelligent gals whose acts are very funny live. Can’t stand the theme song- sounds like one dumb guy or guys who did the old Best Show theme. Always try to skip past the song, then we’re good.

Good show you pair of cackling monsters. I don't know how you manage to take this in intersting directions every week, but it's great listening to you wrest it there.

I truly enjoy the frank discussions about what it’s like to be a comedian theses days. Also, I find it refreshing that they admit how much recording this podcast is both a burden and a joy. I look forward to it each Monday and am grateful to Maxinum Fun for having it on their network.

Sometimes you just need to listen to a couple of friends gab! Some pods are so serious and heavy that I think I will lose my mind! Just one correction for”aneurism material” it was Brett Sommers who was married to Klugman and was on Match Game. She and Charles Nelson Reilly were on the top tier.

It feels like I am sitting on the couch with some friends hearing about their day. I often join the conversation as I am driving down the road, i bet I’m not the only one. I am a stranger to them so it is a very one way relationship- but a very entertaining hour I look forward to every week.

I’d heard Jackie’s stand up via pandora years ago and saw she was performing at one of the last Bridgetown Comedy Festivals. Went to the first Jackie and Laurie Live not knowing what it was and loved it! I immediately went home and looked up Laurie’s special ‘45 Jokes About My Dead Dad’ and cried laughing. This show simultaneously makes me want to do more stand up comedy and also give it up entirely. I love it. **I love you both EQUALLY**
