I’d love to see an episode covering the different pantheons in Marvel. You could even split it up into more than one if it’s too much. It would really help me to understand how vast the gods of Marvel are. Just an episode of straight facts, no unnecessary information please!

the first episode i remember listening to was the chameleon episode. since then, M@MM has become an essential part of my routine. i am in college and i work an extraordinarily boring job… these guys have been my saving grace. in listening to the show, you’ll hear them describe themselves as seedy, low-quality, or worse. the truth is: they’re so wrong. after hearing these two (sometimes three rip allen gone but not forgotten 😢) duke it out, nearly all other podcasts just put me to sleep. you simply cannot beat the dynamic of this show. this show provides a gamble like no other; you are always surprised. i’ve sat through episodes of josef dunking like prime lebron james all over my favorite characters (of course i love ant-man. give scott a chance!) i’ve also sat through episodes of josef unexpectedly enjoying things that i love too, like the young avengers. ive gone into episodes of characters/movies that i hate, yearning to hear josef tear it to shreds, and he almost always delivers! occasionally, even jon will get in on the poo-pooing of things i love; it keeps me on my toes! jon is a superstar, both by knowing all that he knows about marvel comics and putting up with josef. i can only hope that one day, i’ll have the dedication and work ethic that jon does. this podcast is A1, second to none, no matter what jon, josef, or allen say. keep on marveling, goddamn it.

Not happy to give this show a 2 star . This used to be one of my favorite shows to listen to . I’ve listened to 90% of the episodes and it used to be so Fun to listen to John drop all the knowledge and defend marvel against the evil Joseph . Even tho I hated the political rants . I still had to look forward to John talk good about marvel but now it seems to be two Joseph’s just hating on marvel and trying their best to show how politically correct they are . It’s just a bummer to have one of your favorite shows just change in a way that not thats not enjoyable for you . I don’t write this with hate I just miss the old days .

I started listening a few years ago - LOVE that my favorites Cloak and Dagger were covered early on - but then I dropped off podcasts for a while. I recently started up again (last week) listening as I drive to see my patients on hospice. If you need something to bring you some happiness this is the podcast for you. I love learning about characters and events, and it’s gotten me back into reading comics. Between personal hardships that have taken a toll on my mental and emotional health, current events, and working in death and dying, Marveling and Marvel’s Marvels is a boon. I even emailed once about queer and trans characters and got asked to participate! I love this and will continue to listen. I’d love to hear about characters like Armor and Dust!

I recently found this show and wanted to like it so badly but then I listened to the apocalypse episode and was completely put off by it. This show is basically a comic book fan trying to convince his friend who doesn’t like comics that they’re worth reading and getting into. Sometimes he gets it. Most of the time he doesn’t. In the apocalypse episode as soon as he hears what apocalypse’s powers are, he goes on a half hour toddler tantrum completely derailing the backstory and ruining the episode. No matter what the host and moderator say this jacka$$ can’t get over the fact that apocalypse is powerful and repeats the same misinformed complaint. There’s another podcast called Geek History Lesson that is more or less the same but with one crucial detail. It’s two people who enjoy comics and actually tell the history of these characters without some dildo not understanding, interrupting, or whining about things he doesn’t understand. When the cohost hears apocalypse’s power set, all she says is “cool” and they proceed to finish his story. I’m giving 3 stars because I respect the host’s knowledge and commitment to these characters and also because it worse rating wise to be in the middle than giving one star. I won’t be listening to this show again. Giant middle finger to Johnathan. Go f yourself. You don’t belong in this universe. By that I mean the marvel universe.

I wanted to love this show because I love learning more about my favorite and new characters. One guy really knows a lot and I like to hear what he had to say. The other guy though is annoying and always keeps interrupting with the dumbest questions and sayings. Much too abrasive. I couldn’t get through the first episode. If he leaves the show at some point let me know and I’ll pick up from there

I’ve been listening to MMM for years now, and while I haven’t listened to every show this is where I come to learn more about character I don’t have much knowledge of. Today I listened to the show reviews for Ms. Marvel and Moon Knight Season 1 and had to come on here to shout out the incredible Elon Musk inspired tangent y’all went on at the beginning of the Moon Knight episode. For as much hate as you may receive for it, I wanted to drop a note to say keep it coming. I appreciate y’all, and love Josef’s hate. Jim

I guess it may come as a surprise to the hosts of this show, but not everyone wants to listen to you bash their favorite movies for hours on end. I couldn’t even make it through one podcast listening to these wanna be critics complain about how horrible the new doctor Strange was. I’m completely content with constructive criticism, but these fools have nothing but erroneous negative comments, none of which can be taken seriously. They claim this movie was just TRASH. Well I think your podcast is….. I don’t know how these idiots even read comics, when they complain about a movie being “unbelievable” when the comics they derive from are not nearly as well wrapped up. Oh wait, THEY DONT READ COMICS! They host a podcast about comic books but don’t even know who the Illuminati is, and then use their own ignorance to claim the addition of the Illuminati in the movie was “stupid and pointless”…. No, actually it was one of the highlights of the movie. Honestly I really can’t stand these toxic haters with nothing positive to say about anything. If you want to focus on critiquing something, look at your podcast first, and maybe get a host who’s read a single comic book this century.

Been listening since episode 4 took a break for awhile to stacks some episodes to have the ability to binge. Great guys, good show. An all you crybaby twats whining about Joe should smell some grass an upgrade your minds. These guys are friends, an make you feel like a part of it. Go elsewhere GG boys

By far, this has become my favorite Marvel based podcast. The interaction between the True Believer(s) and the antagonist questioning the legacies, legitimacy, and the whole of the Marvel heroes is great entertainment and keeps me coming back for more. It’s great to see a podcast cover some of the lesser known Marvels as well as some of the legends. Keep up the great work!

I started listening in Oct of '22 and from the F4 episode i was hooked on these guys. I've started from the beginning, but listened to the new ones along the way. Fantastic chemestry between the hosts. Great marvel informationg with comedic value mixed in. This is the first podcast i've wanted to listen to every episode of. If you do too i learned around ep 100 that you can put it in 1.25 or 1.5 speed :) they talk slow enough in reality for you to keep up, but their laughs are hillarious at high speed. Listen to this show and "keep on marveling" (god dammit).

Truly an exceptional podcast. I started listening to this podcast in 2021 while working overnight as a valet and I’ve been hooked ever since. Listening to the entire catalog on repeat constantly, it’s been a treat to watch the camaraderie between John and Josef develop over the years. You have a lifetime fan in me, and I want to convey my appreciation for helping me get through all those late nights. P.S. I emailed in 2021 but I’m not sure y’all received it! This podcast would be great if they would stop interrupting each other. It feels like every other sentence somebody will start talking over the person who is trying to speak. It gets old fast. There could be an incredible podcast here if they could let everybody get their ideas out.

I only just recently got into Marvel after ignoring the movies forever, and it’s definitely shown me how awesome and funny superheroes can be! The whole crew of the show is hilarious, and it’s definitely worth a listen if you like marvel or superheroes! P.S. Could you also do an episode on Door Man? My friend was telling me about him and he sounded like such an interesting character!

I’m still catching up, but I have to say that this is hands down the funniest and most informative podcast I’ve ever had the privilege to listen to. Josef, Jonathan, and Allen make for great entertainment (unless you are a racist, close minded fool who likes to leave bad reviews on platforms like these because you don’t like their political and social views). Thank you guys for causing me to snort, chuckle, and guffaw daily!

I already thought I knew a lot of Marvel stuff but y’all have a whole new dimension. I love the show. I started at Episode 1 beginning of this summer and now I’m on episode 53. I will say I do not like the episodes where y’all make up heroes or talk about your own ideas. That sounds really mean but I love learning about new marvel characters. Keep it up.

I wanted to keep listening, truly did, but the interruptions from Joseph got way out of hand. Tone it down by half and you've got a 5 star podcast, but as it is now he's just making the experience unpleasant. I've listening to plenty of podcasts with similar formatting where the style was executed beautifully but this isn't one of them.

You guys have helped me get my kid into heroes (he’s 3) and now he asks to listen to “superhero news” in our way to daycare. You’re awesome!

I listened to several episodes and then got to the Apocalypse episode. I just couldn’t anymore. That guy Joseph is so F***ing annoying.

I found these crazy guys in first use their podcast or knowledge since I was just getting back into comic book collecting after 25 years. I quickly learned I was going to learn very little, but fall in love with three crazy guys. Now that I’m stuck with the other two, i still find myself refreshing on a weekly in hopes a new episode arrives. Thanks for everything you do guys and John thank you for tirelessly reading book after book to get better acquainted with characters each and every week. Hut dogs all around! 5 stars!

Here it comes! They’ve heard it before. I started listening to this Podcast to find out some info on a Marvel character, stayed because the format was fun. As a Pittsburgh native, I was hooked once I realized they were as well. I’ve listened to almost every episode in the past 2 years. That said…I wish they would stop starting Podcasts with reckless rants about culture wars that are out of their control. Their worldview is often limited, and they seem to enjoy outcasting members of their audience. They’ll say that ‘if this offends you, think about yourself’. And while I agree on much of what they say against extreme views, they lack nuance and subsequently lean their rants toward ‘othering’ half of the US population. Their unchecked self-righteousness sometimes leans toward virtue signaling, but I keep listening because the main course is fun and I chose to focus more on the realization that their conversations remind me of many I shared with my friends in high school. The intro appetizer, however, is always annoying. I’m writing this after MCU Moon Knight.

I started listening to this podcast in summer 2020, and i caught up on 200 episodes in a few months. I finally get why people like podcasts. I've learned so much about Marvel comics and characters, and it's also been really fun to compare how the hosts cover comics/stories I know to my own take on the books. The dynamics between the hosts are just hilarious and really keep it interesting. I've never actually listened to a podcast regularly before this one -- this is the first time I've ever understood why people are so into podcasts in general. Thanks for an awesome show!

Great chemistry between all the hosts! I originally started listening for the Marvel information but kept coming back for the great back and forth between the original 3 hosts and then the remaining two. I literally can’t get enough of this show and try to space out my remaining episodes so I don’t have dry spells every two weeks. You guys are awesome!!!

I just got Itunes n now I can leave a review. Lol. This show is the best thing to help me clear my head through working 2-3 jobs and having 2 kids ! I absolutely love the show and have listened to it everyday at work for over a year now.

I've listened to at least 23 whole podcasts in my life and this one is ranked in my top 3 favorites. It's informative and absolutely hilarious. I know a decent amount about comics and I've still learned a lot from listening. Also, sure, sometimes I want to strangle Josef, but he's annoying in a loving way. Seriously, people hate on him, but I've come to legitimately enjoy having him on the podcast. I wouldn't change a thing about him. I very highly recommend listening.

The podcast is really fun and informative on all things Marvel when Jonathon is leading the conversation. However, I cannot stand it when Josef starts to speak. I listened to about 12 different episodes and I cannot take it anymore. I came here wanting to learn more about marvel characters not listen to someone’s politics.

The podcast would be 5 stars if Josef left the show. He constantly interrupts and offers nothing.

Jonathan and Josef are awesome together. They make me laugh all the time while disucssing Marvel Comic books, movies and television shows. As a kid I was a big fan of Marvel comics and cartoons and now as an adult I am a big fan of the movies and TV shows. Jonathan is a wealth of knowlege when it comes to all things Marvel and Josef is great at pushing Jonathan's buttons. I came for the comic book discussion but their tirades on other topics make me crack up and find myself relating to them even more. I discoved them about a year ago andI have now listen to all of their episodes, many more than once, and can't wait for the new episodes to drop. Keep up the great work.

Really enjoy this podcast. As a comic nerd back in the day, I really appreciate the knowledge being dropped here. I also love the Josef calling out the ridiculous stuff that always irked me about comics despite my love of them. That being said, Josef’s inconsistent inability to suspend disbelief can be quite annoying.

If they stuck to Marvel content it!d be a 5 star. They cannot stay out of woke politics no matter how hard they try. Why you’d want to alienate half your potential audience is beyond me.

Your podcast really hits the sweet spot of appealing to deeply enfranchised fans like myself or Jon (I learn something new in every single episode) while also maintaining a great perspective from outside of the comics world. Some of the points Josef or Allen have made in the past about character or events really strike me, because they're questions that would be totally obvious to you, if you aren't already too close to the material to be able to critically analyze it. Your ability to understand the context of the world around the stories, writers, and artists truly brings another dimension into the world of comics and comics history.

Quality is amazing, started listening to just to learn more about a character, listened to every episode because of the dynamic of the hosts. Love this and highly recommend. I’m sad I caught up.

This isn’t some MCU hype show or a place that tries to Easter egg you to death, it’s just two dudes talking Marvel comics and that’s so refreshing

This podcast is all I need in life to be honest! It’s so fun and I always laugh. I’ve had a hard time during the pandemic and you guys got me out of that hole. It feels like I’m talking with some of my best friends even though I don’t know any of you guys personally. I was fortunate enough to be commissioned by you guys to draw an absolutely sick drawing of fleshy Luther, chubby summers, and the amazing GOUT. Seriously guys, thank you so much. You guys have made my life SO much better! I can only dream of meeting you guys one day. Keep on marveling. P.S: I love the rants, especially the marveling meat minute.

I just started this love it blah blah amazing! You 100% could’ve sold him more on the watcher IF you had broken down a bit of Original Sin. I definitely think he would’ve not fought a grade if you had discussed the big importance of Original Sin Other than that I’m loving binging these! 😅😅

Discovered this podcast 5 years into it, but it’s been great because I’ve gotten to binge episodes for the past month and am now at episode 95. Greatly enjoying this podcast. These guys have me laughing at least once an episode. Even though I’m yelling out loud at Josef quite a bit (especially for the Hawkeye episode. No hate, just frustration haha. Hawkeye is a fave of mine, but I get he’s not for everyone. Anyways, as a big MCU fan who’s recently gotten into comics, I’ve been learning SO much thanks to how well Jon explains these characters/events. And can’t forgot about Allen’s patience in moderating and keeping the conversation on track. Thanks guys, for this amazing addition to my podcast list.

I’m not a comic book guy but I wanted to be versed on the Marvel content rather than googling while watching a MCU show/movie. I have been binging this podcast and just love your banter. Super helpful and super enjoyable.

I really want to like this show. I’ve picked it up a few times since it came out in the hopes it settles off the moral and political judgmental elements. I even waited a few months after the election to see if it settles down. Idk I don’t even disagree with their politics I just feel it completely derails what is otherwise a fantastic idea for a show, hosted by someone that clearly knows comic books and can articulate the concepts well. Will probably keep checking in in the hopes that it gets a little better

I like it and I want to love it. It’s really informative and answers questions that I’ve always had about various characters. However I can’t get past the young man who doesn’t know as much. He’s annoying, dismissive and borderline rude. He makes it unfun to listen to. One thing about reading comics is that you can get lost in the story. Also, yes there are many things you may come across things that seem ridiculous or you may say to yourself “that doesn’t make sense”. But you overlook it because the story is so engrossing or the art is great and if not then you can not read that book or issue. You don’t have to like everyone. If that’s the case then there are hundreds of characters to pick from.

I loved the sound of the concept of this podcast - a comic fan and a skeptic discussing Marvel heroes, backstories, super powers and villains and arguing and bantering in their alternative points of view. However, the execution is bad. Said skeptic doesn’t present his skepticism and constant interruptions in an amusing way and sounds more like your condescending, dismissive friend who hates everything and constantly gets on everyone else’s nerves before you stop asking him to come along with everyone. This could have been a great concept with the right folks. This ain’t it. The other reviews mentioning politics... I can’t speak to that because I couldn’t make it past the first few episodes. There’s profanity, but that doesn’t really bother me.

The constant interruptions of the fella that knows nothing about comics ruined it for me.

Guys I just finished listening to all the way up to house of M and I have to say you guys are consistently fantastic ( pun intended Joseph , because the fantastic 4 are so not evil ) this podcast has been full of knowledge and laughs and I appreciate the effort you all put into this and the fun you effortlessly have.
