dsimar09Fantastic podcastJeff’s podcast has been a phenomenal resource for me as a new reefer. His top 10 lists have served as great starting points for me with making stocking decisions in my first reef tank. Some of my favorite episodes have been the ones where he interviews a fellow reefer to do deeper dives into topics like culturing phytoplankton, breeding fish, and the Triton method. Would love to see more like this in the future. Make sure you go check out what he’s doing at his local fish store: Corals Unlimited (coralsunlimited.com) Keep up the great work!

Creepy_UncleBang out podcastEvery time I google anything Jeff seems to have the answer! 10/10 would recommend it easy listening for anytime of day!

BoBidsThanks Jeff! A behind the scenes look at the hobby for this beginnerI’m new to the saltwater hobby. I’m currently cycling my Waterbox Reef 220.6! Life made me take a break from aquariums for several years (former keeper of African cichlids). Jeff and his podcast/YouTube channel have been great at providing me with the good, the bad and the ugly of reef keeping. I’ve gained a lot of great nuggets from Jeff. I appreciate how he isn’t afraid to share insight gained from past mistakes. He wants to help new reefers have as smooth of a process into the hobby and navigate the challenges ahead. I’ve learned about how to handle certain reef problems that I haven’t experienced yet. I always enjoy him diving into articles or interesting topics on reef2reef as well. He’s introduced me to a lot of really cool fish, inverts and corals through his top 10s. His stocking plan episode has helped me get a solid game plan which I’m hoping to execute soon. Keep up the great work! Thanks for all the time and dedication you’ve put into both the pod and your channel. Stay salty! Brian from Nashville, TN

Jadrianne720BEST REEF PODCASTVery entertaining “self-banter” (if that’s a word) and educational without making the beginning reefers feel stupid. I’ve even re-listened to a few episodes to revisit some topics. Owner doesn’t claim to know everything which is much more welcoming to new hobbyists
-
freshwaterfishheadI love itThis podcast is great and so informative. I’m thinking about setting up a reef tank and it has been so helpful
-
Airman89Excellent ContentReally enjoy the podcast. Excellent content well explained. This podcast is absolutely adding to my knowledge and enjoyment of the hobby!

seaducerA 5 Tool Podcast for aquaristsI’ve been listening to and occasionally recording podcasts since 2005, and it is rare to find a show as put together as Jeff’s outside of pro broadcasters. His sound is consistently good, his pace is nearly perfect, and despite owning companies that operate within the aquarium space this is far from an infomercial, it’s simply good honest content we all want to hear. If I had to nitpick I would say his transitional music is a couple beats too long, but that is really nitpicking. As for content? It’s tried and true techniques from and experienced hobbyist and is on point and on time. If you are a saltwater aquarist or desire to be, this is a must listen.

HelenJC80Entertaining and InformativeGreat podcast. Really enjoy how Jeff openly shares his successes as well as his failures. It’s also great to get behind the scenes info from a fish store owner, so hobbyists, like myself, can get a different point of view. I usually find myself enjoying episodes while doing maintenance on my tank. Highly recommend.
-
NemoRCsGood stuff! How good is this podcast…I listen to it…and I don’t even own a saltwater tank! Lol keep up the great work and I eventually do want to venture into the hobby!

ty42088Look forward to every Wednesday!Great show jeff is great and his passion for the hobby is contagious at times. Lots of different angles and every episode is different from the last . Every Wednesday morning I can’t wait to listen!
-
joyofthelord12Thank you JeffI enjoy listening to the rambling of someone who loves the hobby as much as I. Someone willing to sequester themselves in a small room with recording equipment and put some sort of sound proofing on the wall. Someone who, like me, slowly descends further into the madness that is reefing. In all honesty, this pod cast has quickly become one of my favorites. And I look forward to it each week. This is one of a small list of reef podcasts that I will listen to (oftentimes more than once) as I work. Thank you so much. Bob aka Mr. Reef Safe.
-
RaymondNoodlesInformative and entertainingThe Saltwater Aquarium Radio podcast is one of my favorites; a combination of knowledge, stories, news and entertainment. Jeff is passionate for the reefing hobby. You can tell he puts a ton of time and effort into each podcast. He keeps it upbeat and fun. Jeff takes emails from customers and even read my question over the air - and provided a very good answer/solution. Thanks Jeff! Keep up the good work!
-

R BrutonSuper informative!Jeff takes the time to explain things well and even giving information I haven’t heard or read anywhere else. This is especially helpful those new to the hobby as myself. Do yourself a favor and listen to all the episodes. Doing so will help making your reefing life better.

Blenny93Excuse me?One of his top items for a nano reef tank is salt. Useless advice. Not everyone needs a RODI unit either. In some cases, carbon blocks are fine.
-
ninjareefer56Best consistent reefing podcast yetThis podcast is literally the best podcast. From large to nano tanks, it has what you need. Really helped me get my 10g nano tank started. Always looking forward to new episodes. Stay salty.

One of my favorite episodes is the one about aquaculture. I really enjoyed listening about aquaculture and is a goal of me to do with my pair of clownfish. Make sure you document when you start your journey. I’ll be watching out for it!

buycoralsnotcrack#1 aquarium podcastWell I finally did it, I listened to every episode and all I have to say is that 5 stars isn’t enough. Every time I had a question about my reef tank, Jeff had the answer. Pair that with unbiased and honest reviews on live stock and equipment, you’ve got me hooked. The only complaint I have is that we only get one podcast a week!
-
Psuedotropheus AceiSo grateful I found your podcastHey Jeff! I absolutely love your podcast man. I discovered it the other week when I was trying to research more ways to learn about setting up my first saltwater tank. Since listening to that first episode, I have just been absolutely hooked. ajdpGreat for newbies!I started watching your “Mad Hatter’s Reef” videos on YouTube and enjoyed learning from you. I was pleased to find your podcast that I could listen to away from a screen when I was in the car, at work, etc. Really great information for someone like me who has not only been out of the fish keeping hobby for 30+ years, but only kept fresh water cichlids at that. Your videos and podcast have given me the confidence to pursue a marine reef aquarium and I have recently ordered a WaterBox Cube 20 gallon tank and am awaiting its arrival in a few weeks! Looking forward to a long career in the marine reef hobby! Keep up the great work, and I’ll be subscribing to the “Nano” Mystery Reef Box soon!
-

-
Mr E Money5 gallon challengeMannnn I love the show!! So much information that you share with all your experiences and other guest experience also. Im new to the saltwater world and I always wanted to have a small saltwater tank. I wanted to see what your ideas are for a 5 gallon tank. I got a Fluval 10528A1 Evo V Marine Aquarium Kit, 5 gal. And I want to either challenge you and or get your input on what I should do to get a nice stable tank. I couldn’t find much info on anyone with a 10 gallon or less tank. Any info would help.

Hambone Hero 2626Favorite Reef PodcastGreat podcast! Love the Top 10 and listener questions. So much great information delivered in a very humble “friend to friend” manner. Plus your voice is just the best :)
-
B Daddy79Noowbie without a tankGreat show to learn from, I started with the first episode a few weeks ago and I’m about half way through them all. The only thing I have for my reef tank are 4 books I’ve been reading. I want to start with around 160 gallon tank, but I’m a perfectionist and want to start it out right, which will probably be later this fall once I learn everything I can. So please keep laying down more episodes!
-
Reeferjon328Great podcastMy first time searching for a saltwater podcast this came up, i recognized the voice immediately and soon realized who this goat was. Anyway that was over a year and a half ago and waiting all week for this podcast has become routine. After 2 years of researching my tank is finally cycling. Ive been taking videos of the whole process and hope to make a compilation video and if you could shout me out Jeff that would be wicked awesome! Video should be out before april 2020 check me out! “Shore Reefing” thanks!
