    Foundational for New Firm Owners
There are a few podcasts I think are must-listen shows for attorneys starting a new firm, trying to get their firm back on track, or looking to grow. Jim and Tyson do a phenomenal job of highlighting topics and speakers that get to the heart of so many issues facing law firm owners. I’m in year 2 of my firm and credit much of my success to listening to the great advice and insight from this podcast.

    Intake Experts! Highly Recommend!
The episode on the secrets of great intake was absolutely fantastic! The emphasis on "keeping people on the phone" to maximize lead conversion resonated deeply with me. It's clear that every bit of effort counts in turning prospects into clients, and this episode masterfully drives that point home. A must-listen for anyone looking to enhance their intake process!

I stumbled upon this podcast in a Reddit thread in December 2021. I’m gearing up up open a solo practice in 2022 and I truly wish I could find the time to listen to every single episode before I open my doors. From the real life challenges to the book recommendations and tech advice, these guys are the real deal. The best part is they are just two guys doing their best to run great practices and they bring you along for the journey. I will listen to every episode before I move on to any other podcast, that’s how valuable this information is.

Everything you didn’t learn in law school
I was lucky enough to connect with Jim and Tyson right when I decided to go out on my own. And I still see that connection to them and their MaxLaw community as THE SHORTCUT to the successes I’ve had as a law firm owner. These episodes (and the community surrounding it) pack a powerful combo of strategy, vulnerability, grit, and heart that you won’t find anywhere else. All jokes aside, Jim and Tyson work so well together because they have a lot of love and respect for each other — and I know I’m not alone in feeling the same way towards them!

    A must-listen podcast for lawyers
Tyson and Jim are not your average lawyers. They've learned what law school should have taught us but didn't: the mindset that's the foundation for successful practices. They share what they've learned along the way. This is definitely a must-listen podcast.
  • CannonLawFirm
    Not just a podcast

This is not a podcast, it’s a culture
Thanks guys for putting on shows consistently. When I’ve had a rough day or a great day as a solo, it doesn’t matter, it’s nice to listen and recap and hear other’s war stories. Please keep it up. I’ve also improved the quality of my practice being a part of it and you will too.

Best Law Firm Podcast Out There
Started my firm in April 2017 and managed to catch up by the end of the year. The info presented in this podcast is second to none (and I listen to 3 other law firm podcasts). So much to digest, if you only remember 5% then you’re way ahead of the game.

My Board of Advisors - A Gift to all of us
I am almost caught up on my episodes and I can say without question that this super hero duo of Jim Hacking and Tyson Mutrux are the best. These guys are real, intelligent, creative and quite funny ... The shows make for an informative and sometimes entertaining 30-40 minutes . Their guests are always helpful and their tip of the week is always useful . Here’s the deal: if you have a legal practice and particularly for those that are solos or small office run , don’t walk, and subscribe to these guys. It is like a having a board of advisors by your side helping you manage and market your firm in ways you would never have imagined.

    Excellent Resource
This podcast is a tremendous collection of advice and a great resource for attorneys and marketing in general. The hosts Tyson and Jim have excellent rapport with each other and their guests. This makes a big difference because the back and forth ribbing is funny and shows their mutual respect for one another. The guests are top notch and provide some of their secrets to success. It is nice not having to reinvent the wheel since many of these highly successful people tell you exactly what worked for them and, sometimes more importantly, what did not work. I highly recommend listening to an episode and then, before you know it, you will be binging them just like I did. Good job gentlemen, keep up the good work!
