I listen to this show all of the time and definitely find it very interesting and informative.

Just tried listening for the first time and couldn’t make it past the half-way point. The way the host rudely talked over/at and dismissed the guest on the Good Friends episode that came out 2 days ago was off-putting and there were multiple sound editing errors. Seems like you have a lot of cool topics, but I won’t be listening again.

Enjoyed this podcast, but was disappointed to hear forcing crickets to fight for entertainment or money this week. That made me both embarrassed and sad for society. Don’t include the casual reference to the abuse of a living creature or point out that it is not moral.

Hi! Since you asked and I did have a reaction to the episode about restaurants, here goes. First, as you both readily admitted the interview was very much from the restaurant point of view as opposed to the customer’s and it would have been more interesting to present both, but my more important reaction was that, because I live in New York City, I accept the high prices most of the time—everything seems way too expensive and I’m actually glad that post Covid—they have to pay their employees more. The really big problem for me—and I’m not a twenty something bar hopper—is the noise level. When I eat out, a very important part of the experience is the conversation and that has become impossible in many if not most restaurants today. I really hate having to shout to make myself heard. The host does an excellent job of fully exploring the topic with anyone he interviews. He respectfully challenges them while exploring their views. It one of my “go-to” podcast.

In the ep 1.041 title, “Everyday” should be two words. It’s only one word when used as an adjective.

I first started listening to Stuff You should Know because Matt Paxton (Hoarders) was a guest. But then the next episode came on and I quickly learned about Van Halen and brown M&Ms…then another about how to provide an amazing experience like Disney…then another. I can get bored, especially when learning about things that don’t interest me. I usually listen to crime but I am so impressed with the interviews and interviewer. He listens and asks great questions, always letting the expert speak. This is my new favorite podcast!

I absolutely love listening to this show! I anticipate & listen to every new episode & when there isn’t a new one I catch up on the previous episodes. Sometimes I enjoy replaying an episode because I know there will always be something to be had that I’ve missed. I love the fact that I know I’ll learn something interesting every single episode no matter what the topics are & there truly is something for everyone. The topics are relevant to the current times & I find myself referring to this show a lot in day to day conversation. I’ve truly gained knowledge from this show & can’t wait to gain even more! The blunt but respectful “why does this matter” gets what really matters laid out on the table & in a less complicated view. Just discovered this and so happy I did. Filled with insightful, down to earth conversations between knowledgeable people on a broad range of subjects. Each episode contains several different topics, each one offering new perspectives on the human experience. And did I mention that it’s beautifully done?

I realize this is a dated reference, but this podcast is better than the program the late, great Paul Harvey voiced. How? More content and less story. Keep up the good work!

Always interesting and informative. Interviewing style makes this podcast a stand out. Being able to ask and move the interview along, making it interesting asking many of the questions those of us listening would like to ask. Selecting guests that have something pertinent to talk about that deal with life not some imaginary existence.

Love listening to Mike Carruthers’ interviews. His questions are so insightful. I find this podcast interesting and I feel that I’m a little bit smarter after each episode.

This podcast is the most favorite podcast I listen to when I want peace and an unclouded mind. I have learned so much during the short time I have discovered this gem. And let me tell you the other thing that keeps me coming back: Mike Caruthers’ voice. It is very pleasing to the ear. If you haven’t joined in on this podcast, I urge you to start and hear what I am talking about. You will learn a lot of useful information.

This pidcast never disappoints! Tidbits of information that prove to be very useful ad I move through life. Love the wide variety of topics but the best part of the show is the questions asked of the experts. I am a big fan of SYSK.

SYSK by Mike is one of my favorite podcasts. He brings a broad range of topics and guests and asks thought provoking questions. Truly a delight, always learn something new every time I listen. I have tried several other podcasts and for me, this is number 1 in terms of knowledge gathering in a fun way. Keep it up.

Authoritarian governments put out false conspiracies- like flat earth and other nonsense to devalue the real conspiracies- like 9-11 and the JFK assassination. Hitlers minister of propaganda did the same thing.. you have to bombard the public with nonsense so most people will shut down and not know what to believe.. In the age of propaganda- the only thing we can trust is university studies- academia.. many peer reviewed studies have shown steal buildings can not collapse from fire only.. 9-11 needs a real investigation.. the third tower is the tell, there were explosives already in place.. there was also massive insider trading on 9-11 that was never investigated.

Very interesting podcast covering subjects that are never boring. A year later and I am still loving this podcast!
