Geoff is a Memphis Sports Media Legend and brings his thoughtful, intelligent, witty style to the radio. His depth of knowledge combined with his incredible interviewing skills make this show a must listen for any Memphian. His daily segments with Chris Herrington combine basketball, music and culture unlike anything else!

I lived in Memphis for 8 years. Geoff and the other hosts at 92.9 FM kept me company throughout that time. I was so glad to find this show (and the other 92.9 shows) as a podcast once I moved away. An attorney myself, I have always appreciated Geoff’s analyses and ability to play devil’s advocate. The man is great at what he does. His new producer is a great addition to the show, too. No doubt you will enjoy this show as much as I do.

I appreciate ESPN 92.9 providing Geoff’s weekday radio show in podcast form for Memphis sports fans who live outside their broadcast area or who otherwise can’t listen to the show. Geoff and his producer Jeffrey consistently produce a terrifically entertaining show covering Memphis sports, both college & professional. Geoff is and author lead sports columnist for Memphis’ Commercial Appeal newspaper and one of the best storytellers around. One of the things I like best about this show is the chemistry between Geoff & Jeffrey; their different perspectives (Geoff is a more traditional sports fan while Jeffrey brings a younger point of view) make the show dynamic and appealing to a wide range of sports fans. There are plenty of great regular guests like Dan Devine & Steve White, but my favorite is their daily 901 at 10:01 with Commercial Appeal columnist Chris Herrington. In addition to being a very astute analyst of NBA Basketball, Chris has his finger on the cultural pulse of Memphis and keeps this former-Memphian up-to-date. So, if you like Memphis sports, or sports in general, and appreciate reasoned and intelligent analysis along with great storytelling, you’ll want to check this podcast out.

Geoff is a great writer and a great radio host. One reason to listen not on the radio is to avoid the commercials, which take up at least a third of the two hours. Remove them and I'll be back!
