    Trash
I didn’t know you could make gossip and trash talk into a podcast and give advice to actors ! What an embarrassment! It’s listening to tabloid junk ! I wish I could take the time I spent back.

Please bring back the High Low!
Nothing has come close to replace this podcast. It’s been three years since it ended and I’m left to listening to these episodes over and over again. I really hope Dolly and Pandora would consider bringing it back!

Thank you for the good times
I’ve waited this long with the finale saved in my library. I’ve just been cleared (2 covid vaccines complete) and it’s my first flight in a year. It’s time to bid adieu to the highlight of my week... the podcasts swept my mind away from the perils of life, on my commute, my walk, a Virgin train ride from London to Manchester and now here over in the US. If you’ve got a sense of humour you will love this series. I can’t wait to binge it again, from the start when I’m done. Dolly & Pandora are the most divine writers/oralists. The variety of content, guests, laughs and sobs, make it just that - the high low.

So sad to hear it’s ending
Such a great podcast and soooo sad it’s leaving my weekly routine. I will miss their book, movie and show recs, and their positivity in my life. They are also just so funny and are such a strong duo. Hard to come by on the podcasting world. 😭

    My New Literary Best Friends
I have fallen in love with this podcast starting with the smart, charming hosts, their enviable friendship, and the variety of their content. Dolly and Pandora have widened my literary and pop culture knowledge and I only wish we were friends in real life because listening to them feels like talking to my best girlfriends. Thank you for this weekly delight!

    J’adore!!
Absolutely love these gals. Not to sound pathetic, but it’s like having a chat with friends over happy hour (without the pressure to contribute). Keep it up ladies, and keep writing books because we want to buy them!

Where do I begin, how many characters do I have?
I started listening to The High Low on July 9, 2019. By the July 29th episode, I could differentiate Dolly and Pandora’s voices. Dolly is languid, buttery, sensual, like a a Pots de creme and Pandora is the caring friend/sister that you always wanted (she is sticky toffee pudding!). By the September 3rd episode, I was in - hook, line and sinker. Because of Dolly and Pandora, my heart is bigger, and my mind broadened. I practice being more compassionate and empathetic, because they show me how to be so. WWDD (What Would Dolly Do) is what I think to myself when I come upon a situation that clearly doesn’t have a right or a wrong answer. Pandora’s maternity leave gave me just enough time (Dec ‘19-April ‘20) to catch up on the rest of their 121 episodes. Now that they are almost ready to come back on air, I am here waiting patiently, excitedly, and oh, so happily.

Officially my all time favorite podcast!
This is the only podcast that I actually listen to each and every episode. Love the humor and commentary and especially the book reviews!

    necessary!
So much admiration for the thought, care and calculated curation that goes into this podcast without making it feel at all stale. It’s the opposite of stale; it’s a freshly baked, crusty-doughy loaf-of-bread-podcast brimming with brilliant content. Dolly and Pandora are riveting co-hosts with a heartwarming rapport that makes you feel as though you’re engaged in their intimate conversation like an old pal. They delve into mass-opinion, dabble in a plethora of broader topics and always incorporate their personal vs public’s opinions in a professional and respectful manner. Keep at it, I love this podcast and will scream it from the rooftops of NYC. 💛

My favorite part of the week 💕
Pandora and Dolly have become a permanent staple in my household. Whatever topic they choose to cover on the podcast dominates my personal discussions for the next week, making me feel both informed and up to speed on relevant current affairs and cultural happenings. The High Low is a must for any woman in their twenties and thirties, who are interested in culture and news, and also LOVE to read. My favorite podcast by far.

    Love!
Every Monday/Tuesday, I keep checking my podcast app to see if the latest episode has downloaded yet. I listen in Austin, TX USA & my best friend listens in Charleston, SC USA. I love when we connect on the phone during her drive home from work and discuss that week’s episode. Both Dolly & Pandora provide such interesting perspectives and I like that they don’t always agree - just like in most friendships. Sometimes I find myself agreeing with one more than the other, but I always appreciate learning about a different point of view. Their reading recommendations have made my ‘to-read’ list on Goodreads a mile long and I LOVE their author special episodes. Thank you Dolly & Pandora for all the time, effort, and energy that you put into this wonderful podcast for us to enjoy!

    Best duo in podcast history
I love this podcast. I learned about Pandora for her contributions to MR and honestly now it’s the only podcast I regularly listen to. I love the honesty with which they approach current affairs and the books and articles recommendations. I have two thank these two for introducing me to now some of my favorite books and shows

Like going for a drink with your friends
Love listening to Pandora and Dolly chit chat about politics, books, podcasts, holidays etc. It feels like I’m in the pub on a Thursday night chit chatting away whilst drinking my first glass of wine. By the time I’m contemplating whether to finish glass #3 my chat is not quite so coherent and interesting as this podcast!

    So so good.
This is quite easily my favorite podcast. It’s funny, intelligent, and honestly just really so refreshing. Dolly and pandora are amazing. I genuinely look forward to their episodes. Thank you for your podcast ❤️

    Stop apologiZing!
Please stop apologizing! I’m so sick of hearing about being privileged. There will always be people who are of different classes. To the haters, blow them a kiss and may they find why they need to be haters. And remember, misogynistic women can be the worst oppressors of other women than any man.
  • MMaharaj
    Love. This. Podcast.
You had me at, "Thank you Waitrose for creating fatty little bikkies." These brilliant ladies toe the line of being fabulously entertaining while providing stimulating, thought-provoking content. A true gem of a podcast.
  • A Fan in France
    Obsessed
With every new episode, I’m more convinced that Dolly and Pandora are peering into my brain. Their perspectives, on subjects low and high, are more nuanced and balanced than you’ll find anywhere else. Listening is a constant balance of, “yes, we would be best friends,” and “I will never be as cool as you,” but in a totally down to earth and self-aware kind of way. Also for men! I’ve gotten my boyfriend to start listening, and he loves it too.

    Dolly and Pandora are amazing
By far the best podcast I'm subscribed to :) smart and funny.

    Gets predictable
I was delighted with this podcast for the first couple of months, after which I became more and more annoyed at their predictable (very class-defined) take on contestable issues. While I frequently agreed with them, the episodes in which they campaigned for a yes vote on the Irish abortion referendum finally pushed me to unsubscribe. I dont need one more source of the same propaganda-like hand-wringing that can be found absolutely *everywhere* (I'm not a partisan or secret conservative, either. but I do like at least the ol'college try at seeing different sides of issues, or at least, staying fittingly humble about another country's politics). Saying that, they can be a funny and fun addition to your curated echo-chamber, if thats your style. And definitely worth a listen if you need recommendations for something new to read or watch (that isn’t too far out the mainstream).

    Love love love
Prior to listening to this podcast I had never listened to a podcast before. As soon as I did I was HOOKED. I listened to every single episode until I was completely caught up. Dolly and Pandora are the two, very intelligent, witty, classy British besties I’ve never had and always wanted! I look forward to listening to them weekly!
  • bmgol
    Wonderful
Finally truely intelligent women taking stage. Much love for you ladies

    Honestly didn’t get podcasts until...
It’s delightful, chatty without rambling, interesting on a range of topics, and I genuinely want to befriend Dolly and Pandora (next time I’m in the UK, cremant/prosecco? we can discuss the NHS vs private insurance, and also pattern mixing)

    Love this podcast
So happy when I see a new episode pop up.

    Had to stop listening
I took a long break from the High Low because I spent too much time cringing every time they covered race and missed the mark (what can you expect when Kanye is pronounced CAN-yay, eh?). But today I decided to tune in to the latest episode, in which much was made of "Serena Williams' abusive behaviour." Seriously?! What happened to Serena was appalling and if you haven't watched a match or maybe even spoken to someone from a different background about it, keep it. I immediately turned it off, swore, and unsubscribed. I think Pandora & Dolly are very interesting but there are certain HL hot takes that come off as tone-deaf.

    thank you, man repeller
man repeller recommended the high low to me at the beginning of the summer just as i was starting my desk job. it has become an absolute highlight of my week and has exposed me to so many other wonderful podcasts / publications / films etc that i have enjoyed immensely. thank you dolly and pandora for being intelligent, funny, entertaining, and insightful: every. single. week.

Exactly What I Want in a Podcast
Charming and funny, while simultaneously informative, this is the best podcast. Dolly and Pandora are so well spoken and intelligent. They really make an effort to provide well thought out responses and opinions on the latest in news and pop culture. I would highly recommend listening!

    A Lovely Informative Chat
Dolly and Pandora, the two journalists have become my favorite podcast host. I’ll listen to them when I workout, driving, or chilling on a rainy day. Do add them on you “To Listen” list.
  • saraht0908
    Not a podcast person BUT...
This is the only podcast I listen to because I generally can’t stand them but The High Low is such a 50 minute joy during my Thursday walk to work. Perfect mix of pop culture, current happenings, politics and feminism. Doesn’t hurt that Pandora and Dolly have the loveliest accents, too! I’ve admired their writing for a while so this is perfect.

    New favorite
Just discovered this podcast and have been binge listening for the last week. It has quickly become a favorite, can’t recommend it highly enough. Discussions of news and culture lead by two smart and sharp journalists who understand that discussions of so-called feminine topics do not diminish your power or opinions. If you love Emma Gannon’s podcasts or Lady Lovin, you’ll love this. If you don’t, download this anyway.

    The new intelligentsia
Yes, I still find it difficult to distinguish one from the other, but thoroughly enjoy Pandolly’s take on all things current. Constantly find myself laughing along and googling to try and keep up. Keep at it, ladies - from your lone fan from the Philippines (am I?)

Feminine Prescpectives on life with intelligent humor and real issues
This podcast is amazing, I love how honest, intellectual, and hilarious these two women are. The reading recommendations are always the best. They are not shy to talk about issues that everyone in the world should be discussing. Even though I am not British, I still love this show. In fact, they often know more about American politics and issues better thn we do! Keep it up Dolly and Pandora, you make my LA commute thought provoking and full of laughs.

Like chatting with really smart and funny friends
I absolutely love listening to Dolly and Pandora. I catch up on news, learn about books, movies, shows and podcasts to check, laugh with their personal stories, empathize with listeners who write in for advice. I love every episode.
  • Thelizryan
    Absolute gold
I cannot say enough about how fantastic this podcast is. It's like getting lunch with your closest friends and having one of those conversations that turns out to be the perfect blend of funny, deep, joyful and meaningful every time. Dolly and Pandora seem like the type of people that would make it worth going to an overly loud party just for shouted witty banter over a sad hors d'oeuvres table. The type of people who, at said party, when something awkward happens you could make eye contact with across the room and with a slight widening of the eyes, all convey 'Oh my God, this is so terribly awkward, could we please leave and get some greasy food in the middle of the night together'. Trust me- subscribe, listen, you're welcome.
