More an inquiry than a review
I see several comments about how Thom has stolen Maharishi’s knowledge and teachings. Why is this? As far as I understand it, this knowledge is thousands of years old and is meant to be passed down from teacher to student over and over again. Isn’t that exactly what Thom is doing? Isn’t that what Maharishi would have wanted? Maharishi didn’t invent this. He learned from Guru Dev. And Guru Dev learned it from his master. And that continues back for many years. TM has been around since, I believe, the 1950s. This knowledge and this technique for many years more than that. So how could Thom be stealing the knowledge from anyone? Thom very often praises Maharishi in this podcast. He doesn’t claim to own any of this knowledge and he is constantly giving credit to Maharishi as well as other prominent teachers. The only thing Thom isn’t doing, as far as I can tell, is teaching under the umbrella of the TM organization. He used to, and I am curious as to why he decided to sever ties and go out on his own. I have heard that Thom has inflated his credentials. If so that is shameful. But, provided Thom is as qualified as he seems, this knowledge and technique can now be spread around the world in more than just one way. What a gift. Some might say the TM organization exists in part to insure that the technique is taught correctly and so that there can be a maintaining of a certain level of quality. Well, maybe. But it’s been passed down for thousands of years without the existence of TM. So it’s certainly possible. And who’s to say all of those TM teachers all around the world are more qualified than Thom Knoles? I’m sure some are, and I’m sure some are not.

    Self-styled “guru” Stolen From Maharishi
If Maharishi were alive he would vehemently denounce Thom Knoles, who is doing exactly what Maharishi didn’t want. Thom Knowles has ripped off everything he learned from Maharishi about Transcendental Meditation and rebranded it “Vedic Meditation.” Maharishi founded the TM Movement, with TM Centers around the world, to preserve the *purity of the teaching*. Maharishi Mahesh Yogi offered *Transcendental Meditation* to be taught in a systematic way by teachers within the TM Movement. That is so the knowledge doesn’t get diluted overtime by self-styled gurus like Thom. Maharishi specifically did not want TM teachers to create their own followers and start improvising on the knowledge. That is exactly how the knowledge gets distorted and lost over time. Thom is a usurper for his own gain. He is definitely not authorized by Maharishi to train meditation teachers, creating his own branch of TM and rebranding it “Vedic Meditation.” Thom sits and talks like he’s a Indian guru, lulling people with his hypnotic voice, spouting as much knowledge as he can parrot from Maharishi. Don’t be fooled by this usurper. Get the knowledge & experience directly from the source that Maharishi intended to preserve the knowledge in its purity: a Transcendental Meditation Center. There are many opportunities at TM Centers to go deeper into the knowledge through meditation retreats with taped courses taught directly by Maharishi. Any questions that arise can be addressed by a properly trained TM teacher. And none of them are pawning themselves off as gurus. Maharishi was asked why his teaching is conveyed in such a structured and systematic way at TM Centers. Maharishi said, “That is to protect everyone.” If you want the real McCoy, learn TM at a real TM Center. Thom Knoles has broken his solemn oath not to teach TM (“vedic meditation”) outside of the TM Organization, an organization designed by Maharishi with checks and balances meant to protect unsuspecting “seekers” from people like Thom. (Also, the Swami in India that Thom says affords him some legitimacy, the so-called Shankaracharya-elect, appears to have been challenged as regards to his legitimacy as Shankaracharya.) Anything good in these podcasts was stollen from Maharishi. Violating Maharishi’s trust and intentions is not good karma.

An Opportunity to Listen to a True Master
Thom is a brilliant diamond of Vedic Knowledge. In a world full of premature, self-appointed “spiritual teachers”, The Vedic Worldview allows us to enter the mind of a fully realized master, who was given permission to teach from an authentic, ancient lineage of sages. I have never come across a teacher who can explain the profound spiritual science of Sanatana Dharma with such ease, humility, and precision. This podcast is a tremendous gift to humanity. Rip off of tm
I’ll hold my final judgement. I just came across the podcast and being someone who has had a diverse spiritual path that includes becoming a teacher of Maharishi Mahesh Yogi TM. I was trained personally by Maharishi. I haven’t heard anything that I myself could not put on a podcast and claim fame. But then I’ve never taken what a teacher has given me for my own greed, fame and fortune. My suspicion is that Thom offers nothing more than I have to offer as a long time meditator and someone who has studied Veda and various Eater spiritual paths. I’ll listen and investigate more but I don’t get a good feeling about his spiritual evolution (no one like me can judge), deep knowledge of Veda, or his sincerity. Initially, my impression is he learned a little bit and then promoted himself as a star. All the best. It’s Thom’s Karma.

    Exceptional
Rarely, rarely does someone come along who so clearly embodies these mystical understandings and is able to communicate these principles with such eloquence. I’m so happy I was introduced to this podcast.

    Favorite podcast hands down
This is an amazing resource. It is perfect for anyone who is interested in learning more about Vedic meditation and the tradition it comes from. It is also an excellent tool for people who already meditate and who want to accelerate their practice by expanding their knowledge of the Vedas. Thom makes things relevant and easy to relate to by including a sense of humor, some colorful stories, and by bridging the gap between spirituality, science, and religion. It is easy to see why he known as a Maharishi (great seer/knower) when he explains these vast and intricate topics. Very grateful for this podcast. Jai Guru Deva.

Uplifting and Illuminating — A Must Listen!
The Vedic Worldview is a first-rate podcast, bringing Supreme Knowledge to meditators and non-meditators, alike. Thom has a very special ability to sequence knowledge and to share it in such a sweet, blissful, and relatable way. And the thing I love most about it is that nothing he says blows my mind. It’s like I already have all of this knowledge inside, and he is simply stirring it up within me. He is reminding me of what I already know, which, to me, is the sign of truly profound and timeless wisdom. This podcast is Universal in its application, and it feels so deliciously cosy to listen to. Like a cosmic hug. Like coming home. Like a little nudge from Nature saying “You got this. Let this podcast serve to validate that. Claim what you know and move forth with confidence and grace.” Plus, Thom has a beautifully mellifluous voice, and it’s nice to listen to him talk about pretty much anything. Highly recommended to anyone in the market for an enjoyable and profoundly applicable body of knowledge as we walk towards a lighter and more bliss-filled life. Not something to simply listen to when we’ve got time, but a podcast worth carving out time for. Five stars, through and through.

    My favorite podcast ever.
Enlightening and enriching for meditator and non-meditator alike. There is no one who can deliver Vedic knowledge like Thom. Not only is he brimming over with knowledge but he knows how to deliver it a way that’s calm, fascinating, practical, actionable, and relatable. He’s funny and clever but never relies on being funny and clever. Instead he goes for clarity and illumination and this is why I can listen to him talk all day long. And I have! This is the best Vedic podcast out there.

The Gold Standard for Vedic Philosophy
This podcast is probably the gold standard for up to date information on Vedic Philosophy. Thom interviews experts and thought leaders to provide broad perspective on Vedic Philosophy, as well as ‘solo’ shows he does that articulate a specific topic deeply and with great clarity.

    The Vedic World View
Thom is the teacher of my teacher. This form of meditation (Vedic Meditation) is a mantra-based house-holders technique that has been passed down from teacher to teacher for over 3000 years. I've met Thom a handful of times and listened to him speak. He is full of knowledge, joy, & love. Please listen & enjoy. I have loved every episode of this podcast.

    Most Important Podcast on iTunes
The reason I say this podcast is the most important podcast on iTunes is because the practice of meditation is the most important thing a person can do in her or his life for themselves as individuals and perhaps more importantly, the entire world. If for some reason the wisdom and teachings behind meditation do not resonate with a person, it is still a worthy practice and body of knowledge to learn about. This podcast is exceptionally nourishing on every level. The guests with whom Thom Knoles interacts are exceedingly thoughtful and accomplished. Sometimes they are in concert with Thom's perspectives and sometimes not. One great thing I gain from this podcast each time I enjoy an episode is some insight into how I can better interact with the differing opinions and perspectives of others and come away with deeper respect for the other person. This podcast is the one I'd make sure to have on the desert island. Thank you Thom and your team for sharing this gift with us lucky listeners.

    Intelligent & Modern Conversations
It's sometimes hard as a spiritual seeker to find a person grounded in reality, while also having an enormous grasp of the esoteric. With this podcast you can finally connect the physical and the spiritual, with your tour guide Tom. Every topic and guest is relevant to anyone investigating the mystical side of life. Each episode will leave your spiritual eye vibrating in anticipation for the next episode. (While also not being too attached)

Great Listen perfect mix of east/west philosophies
Thom is the perfect mix of east/west philosophies between being a master Vedic meditation teacher and neuroscience. Similar to Sam Harris in the sense that this podcast discusses moral philosophies just more uplifting. I've been initiated into Vedic meditation by Thom and I have paid for courses with him. Listeners of this podcast or getting a tremendous value and I am proud to be a part of it's production.
