    Breath of fresh air
Every time I listen to this podcast, I am reminded of God’s grace for others and myself. Thank you for inviting us into this conversation, to laugh, cry, and marvel at God’s goodness together.

    A Gem of a Podcast
In all fairness, I just listened to the most recent episode that touches on our relationship in society with reviewing all the things. The way David talked about the gift of a good review prompted me to want them to have the affirmation that, yes, this podcast is a gift to listeners. Listening to The Mockingcast is like coming up for the air of grace in a world suffocated by the law. Judgement abounds both in and out of Christian sectors, but listening to these three looking for glimpses of God’s grace in various arenas has blessed me time and time again. So thankful to have been brought to this space. This podcast is a gem!

You guys are my daughter’s age
I so appreciate your honesty and its corresponding hilarity. The affinity with your youth despite my age floors me. You help me understand my girl, her world, and mine. Adore you all, gifts of God: a human, snarky trinity!

    Absolutely necessary
Any time I listen, I walk way with a deeper sense of God’s grace and a real groundedness.

    Bummer
Dave Zahl is fantastic as always, but Sarah's self righteousness is too difficult to listen to (and yes, I'm a woman listener). Would love to hear more from RJ.

    Unfortunate
I find it shocking that a Christian podcast is lamenting the loss of a Presidential candidate that openly advocates for child mutilation through gender assignment surgery, abortion on demand with no gestation limits, and on going war that is killing thousands a day. I can’t fathom how you could even defend that, as Christian’s, much less clergy. This is lamentable, sad, deeply disturbing. I can’t support The Mockingcast anymore after this.

    Almost a 5 Star But…
Love you guys so much - the honest conversations about faith, gospel in unexpected places, and the humor in every episode. The ONLY reason it’s not a 5 is because of the intro/outro music. The trumpets are so loud and alarming, I often have to anticipate the ending of your episodes and crank my volume way down so I don’t blow my ears out with my Airpods or in my car. This is so specific but I can’t be the only one who thinks this! It would help so much if you could have a more vibey lowkey theme song. Without trumpets. Again, love you guys but please consider 😂

    Wonderful
I love the Mockingcast, and always look forward to it. The dialogue among the hosts is very thoughtful, honest and funny as they discuss issues of grace (or lack their of). I have grown so fond of it and Mockingbird in general has been a lifeline for me in deepening (or even just hanging on to at times) faith. I hope it continues for years to come ... Thank you Mockingbird 💜

    Longtime Listener No Longer
I am a longtime listener and supporter of Mockingbird, but I will not continue past Episode 260 after the hosts praised Jerry Seinfeld’s 2024 Duke graduation speech. I was expecting the hosts to also acknowledge the students of all faith backgrounds who walked out of the speech in solidarity with the Palestinian people (as Seinfeld has been vocal in his support of the IDF and the ongoing genocide) but that did not happen. They only made a fleeting comment about “what is happening on college campuses.” Very disappointing that they either do not care, or are choosing to live in a reality void of such faith conversations.

    Glory Story!
Best podcast about Grace and it’s interaction with culture. I’ve binged it all in the last 6 months. Worth it. Thank you for impacting my faith and ministry immeasurably.

#257 Screwing Up is a Good Start
Love the banter and the insights! BTW, “apotheosis, n. : the perfect form or example of something” literally, “elevation to divine status.” (M-W) e.g., the fresco in the dome of the US Capitol is “the apotheosis of George Washington.

    Progressive Leftists comment
I’ve been a longtime listener of the show and appreciate your thoughts on current events, culture and grace. I did want to comment on your latest episode. I got the impression that you viewed that progressive leftists can not be followers of Christ, even Episcopalians. I’d like to say that there are many of us out here who identify as Christians and progressives. They are not mutually exclusive.

    Please never stop
The interchange between the three hosts is priceless. Thank you for blessing us with your conversations! I appreciate being reminded “it is finished” during every episode. God bless you all.

The Friends I wish I had
As a stay at home mom I treasure each episode. I get my house work done to these encouraging and honest conversations. I LOVED hearing R.J’s recent endorsement of The Chosen on today’s episode. It validated my excitement for this project. Sara and David are the edgy friends I wish I could keep up with intellectually. What a gift these conversations have been for me. Keep of the great work, thank you!

    Can’t get enough.
I listen to this podcast constantly, I think I’m all the way back in 2018 now. It’s not an overstatement to say it’s changed my life, we’ll that God’s grace has through their conversations. Dave, RJ, and Sarah, thanks for your honesty that allows others to be honest about themselves and then we all find God’s grace together.

    My very favorite
I listen to many podcasts , but this is my very favorite . It’s a casual conversation between dear friends who are very funny, well read, honest about their faith and struggles, and gracious toward others . Like a good sermon, all topics lead to the gospel. Whenever a new episode shows up , I know it’s going to be a good day.

    Grace in Practice
There are few places in the world where you can retreat and be reminded that God’s love for us is truly unconditional. This is one of them

    So good
The only podcast I consistently listen to. So rich and generous and grace-filled. A balm for my soul.

Pure enjoyment and salve to the soul!
I always look forward to hearing the love and humor these three share with one another and us, the listeners. Truly, a beacon of light, hope and grace in what ,increasingly, feels like a dark, complex and burdensome time. Thank you RJ, Sarah and Dave. You have helped me immensely!

    The best podcast!
Dave, Sarah, and RJ put out thought provoking and enjoyable podcasts every single time. Whenever there’s a new show it makes my day a little better. It’s rare these days, in my opinion, to find a show where the topics dive deep into current social (and spiritual) issues without the hosts smugly sharing their unoriginal political opinions. At the same time, these guys don’t tiptoe around big or difficult ideas either. I grew up in a secular home and am not a Christian, at least not technically. After listening for more than a year I think I am finally beginning to understand what grace is, for which I am eternally grateful. Thanks Mockingbird Ministries for taking the time to create episodes and put them out there!

    Honest voices
From the varied voices, through the laughter and tears, with knowledge and honesty, this trio reminds me that I am a beloved being of God. This is the podcast I keep in my downloads until my time is free so I can savor it without interruption.

    Open Heart
What I love about the Mockingcast is the willingness of the hosts to share their true feelings even if those feelings are sad or painful or very personal. When you listen, you feel the love and Grace of God poured out and shared through human broken vessels to those in the audience who are also human and broken. This is my favorite of all the podcasts I listen to.

    An easy 5 stars!
The best! Just the best! Today, alas, after listening to every episode & sharing them with countless people, the Biebs feature compelled me to write a review. I can’t figure out which of you is my favorite, and have determined you each bring an inextricable element to the “sauce”, and balanced together, you produce something relatable & inspiring. Thank you for sharing thoughtfully & transparently. My heart aches for Sarah, as I know the pain of tragically losing a parent too young, and I am praying for you. What a treat to listen in on your conversations!

    Must listen!
I am so grateful for all that Sarah, RJ, and David contribute to cultivate such a thought provoking podcast. I look forward to listening to each episode as part of my sabbath for renewal. Sarah’s humor often makes stop in my tracks to laugh when I’m out on a run or walk! The life experience each of the hosts brings provides reassurance of the grace that they discuss. My life has had a lot more joy and satisfaction because of the light that they shine, even amidst life’s greatest tragedies and challenges. Thank you Mockingcast for your ministry!

    Mockingcast
This podcast defies description! Thank you for allowing us, your listeners, to journey with you as you search for Jesus and permit us to walk alongside. Sarah, thank you for modeling how to grieve in times of great loss...well, thank you three for showing us the way!

    Mockingcast
We knew David from his uber-young days at FOCUS when we were at Westminster. I remember him as a vivacious, hilarious, whip-smart, humble, Jesus follower and am so pleased to listen to him and RJ and Sarah who are equally interesting and cool. Christians needs to have more Dave/RJ/Sarah types in their faith walk. Love their intellectual curiosity and cool factor without compromising all that is awesome about the gospel. keep up the great work, Mockingcast! -Manon Pratt

Thank you for rescuing my faith
During the most difficult time of my life, my pastor recommended Mockingcast to me. My faith was hanging by a thread in that season. It’s not an exaggeration to say that RJ, Dave and Sarah rescued my faith. They helped me understand the grace of God in new light. So grateful for their beautiful hearts, authenticity and encouragement. They are the real deal. ❤️

    Worth Every Minute
In a world that is constantly bombarding me with the “cult of self improvement,” The Mockingcast has been a weekly space of grace upon grace for me. I’ve never met RJ, Sarah, or Dave but every time I tune in to the podcast it feels like I’m listening to some of my closest friends having a conversation about the big questions in life, 100% free of judgement and pretension. Do yourself a favor and give this podcast a listen.

    The best
The Mockingcast is easily my favorite podcast. Dave, Sarah, and RJ bring varied deep insights into our culture through a law/gospel lens. Fascinating and so helpful, also very funny.

    Speaking to Me!
Do yu know that - every single episode - you give me something to ponder, another point of view to consider, and something to smile about.?! Your grace-filled work brightened my day before Covid, and has been absolutely essential during this pandemic. Thank you so much!

    Unique, Provacative Conversation
Down-to earth conversations engaging every day life issues. Heart-felt discussion gives permission to the listener to engage thoughts and feelings that otherwise may stay buried. Freedom to admit I'm not alone as I struggle and stumble through my uncertain days. You may not leave with answers, but I believe you will leave the conversation at rest

    This is great
This podcast just puts you in the mood for a great day and readies you got life. Thank you.

Always a conversation to look forward to.
I guess how I class this conversation and mockingbird in general is the revealing of Christ in culture rather then how I grew up needing to escape culture to be acceptable to Christ . All time fav quote by Sarah after reading an article on the 2020 Super Bowl “I was really taken a back by the way that she talked about men . I thought this was super dismissive it was like she never heard you guys wax poetic with great envy about Paul Rudd . You may not look at football players and think this....”insert laugh emoji.

Thank you for the Coroacation episode!
Thank you for this episode. The ending made me cry -- in a good way. It is so true that there are many to pray for in this strange time. My daughter is an ER nurse so the words of the collect were touching. Thank you to Sarah Condon for the grace she is giving us. God bless you all for your thoughtful, thought-provoking words, for your humor, for your love for each other and us, and for the Spirit that emanates from your work.

    You know when...
You know when you find a podcast that you really like and and are relieved to find a few years of back episodes so you can listen to it everyday for a while? You know when every conversation with your spouse for 3 weeks starts, “I was listening to Mockingcast, and...”? You know when you have to be careful when you are listening to a podcast, because the free gospel of Jesus Christ might create waterworks when you are driving on the 110 freeway in LA? This is that podcast. 5 star gospel-gold

    Hope and Grace
Given my jaded cynical nature, I often need to be reminded that beauty and grace will triumph. There is no better reminder than this podcast.

    never to old
Retired business owner who is filling pulpits now and then in rural eastern NC Presbyterian churches. I am a fan of Seculosity. I came to Seculosity via the podcast Pulpit Fiction. I love this commentary of pop culture. It’s fun and insightful. I shared it with my three girls. PS Thanks for leading me to Dolly Parton’s America podcast. Enjoy!

Great conversations on Christ, life, and culture
I highly recommend Mockingcast. The co-hosts have a great chemistry that makes you want to be part of the conversation. I respect their understanding of scripture and theology. This podcast helps me in my work as a pastor.

    Cancelled Prigrams
What do you think is the appropriate response to persons who use their position of being the boss to solicit sexual favors from persons who work for them even when such persons have declined the fair question level and it is now nothing short of sexual harassment? What do you think should be done in such cases? What about the victim? What is fair to the victim? What should be done to compensate them for their emotional stress and financial losses associated with such harassment? And what does the Bible say about this? A broken and contrite heart God will not despise. But an arrogant and unrepentant heart is not broken and contrite.

    Thoughtful conversations
I thoroughly enjoy the thoughtful, funny, grace focused conversations among the hosts. I've been listening for a while and often time during an episode I find myself stopping the play and going back a bit to re-listen to something that was said because I needed to hear it again to absorb it. It's a really good listen.

    The reminder we all need
I love this podcast so much! I often listen to it multiple times. The discussions are thoughtful and help me to regularly see the gospel through a new perspective. I am really grateful for mockingbird!

    Refreshing
Honest and real discussions of everyday issues, and how we navigate them through the lens of grace and humanity. As a Mississippian, southern woman, and Ole Miss alum, I was immediately drawn to Sarah Condon. I want to be her when I grow up! RJ and David are awesome as well. So well done!
