I listen to this podcast every week. Must listen! I have listened for years but haven’t left a review because I want to be nice to people. Erik is a treasure to all Lions fans. Joe’s role seems to be to help illustrate how brilliant Erik is - simply by comparison. Joe is like the uncle who comes by for Thanksgiving and thinks he’s the smartest guy in the room, but every time he opens his mouth he shows how the opposite is the truth. BTW - Joe, 84 punts is not almost twice as many punts as 29 punts. I search out every piece of content that Erik produces. He’s great, and makes this the most informative deep dive Lions Podcast. In this podcast, Joe asks questions, Erik provides the content. Joe constantly interrupts Erik trying to finish his thoughts…Erik is constantly having to say “no, what I meant was…”. Joe, please be the straight man, ask the questions, and stop interrupting.

Hi Joe and Erik, first and foremost, my wife says that you guys don’t annoy her when I put you on int the car, so that is borderline elite sports podcast already. Erik gives the best analysis, player-by-player of any media member in the Detroit market, and Joe your Xennial melancholy is thoughtful, relatable, and appreciated. Your Podcast is one of the best in the market. If someone can only listen to one Pod each week, I would recommend DLB. As far as the apple podcast glitch, I signed up for your guys Patreon (shameless plug that DLB has a Patreon) last week to try to say thank you. I just assumed you guys had taken my $5, moved to Bratislava, bought a hotel to run, and basically retired. And Thank You to Erik for responding right away on X when I asked what was up. Thank you both for what you do putting this together 300 times now. To speak for well more people than I should, we all really appreciate it.

As a Yooper exiled in cheesehead country I need to stay tied to my Mitten State roots. Enter the Detroit Lions Breakdown podcast. Like the best podcasts out there, it’s just two guys talking! No theme songs, no pauses for a short break from MyPillow. Just thick content and strategy and great insight on what makes the Lions tick from the play designs to contract structures. I appreciate hearing about the matchups that the Lions will exploit before they happen. Lions fans are living in the good times right now and they deserve a podcast to match. This is it!

This was my first Lions podcast and continues to be the best. You guys got me hooked on listening and I picked up a few more, but yours is the only one that continues to keep it interesting now that we're winning. Erik, while Joe may be my favorite podcaster ever, you don't have to help him try to catch up with you on your competition. Super detailed previews of every game AND smooth jazz radio dj voice commentary

The only negative thing I can say about this podcast is that it only comes out once per week. These guys offer such incredibly detailed and thoughtful analysis of the upcoming Lions games. Absolutely best in class, and from enjoyable, considerate, generally happy guys. It’s absolute must-listen content for any hard core fan that wants to be perfectly prepared for the upcoming Lions game. I have learned SO MUCH from these guys this year… and have loved every minute of it. If you only have time for one Lions pregame podcast, this is definitely it.

I absolutely love this podcast. Erik and Joe have incredibly deep knowledge of the team, players, coaches, history, strategy, and opponents, and they draw upon it to give excellent insights into what happened in the last game, what to expect in the next game, and any moves made in between. I have learned a ton listening to them. They take things at their own pace, which is great. They are stand-up guys with humility and friendly demeanors — no snark or locker-room talk — my kind of Michiganders. The production is basic, which is actually a nice change. I always come away feeling good and knowing a bit more about the Lions. Thanks for the great listen!

Eric is one of my top Lions’ analysts. He has detailed, up to date information on the team that seems to come at least partially from his own reporting, not just rehashing someone else’s writing. Joe brings worthwhile commentary as well.

Best Lions pod out there imo. Win or lose Joe and Erik always bring a detailed and intelligent analysis that helps you understand what’s actually going on with the team. Erik’s passion for the draft makes it a great pod to keep listening to all offseason. Keep up the great work guys. Still the best and most informative Lions podcast out there. I have thoroughly enjoyed this podcast since the POD announcement was made. Until now, however, I hadn’t heard Joe Kania on the podcast. If he’s going to be a fixture on the show, I’m not sure I can stomach it. While everyone else has brought a thoughtful, rational approach to the topics, Joe sounded like a second rate meat head throughout the show. If I wanted a raving opinion without substance, I would listen to one of the other Lions podcasts (or Skip Bayless). I hope that he is an infrequent guest, or that the POD will figure out their future plans soon.

First heard Erik on the Pride of Detroit podcast. He is extremely level headed and knowledgeable. Interesting to listen back to his insights and how things he talked about in advance (like DJ Reader) actually happened. With SB Nation blowing up the Pride of Detroit podcast, this is my new go to.

Based on recent history with giving D-Lineman contracts and extensions I'm absolutely against giving anymore D-Linemen contracts and extensions unless his name is hutch.
