Great guests, terrible audio mix

This is a great podcast filled with excellent insights, tips & information. Dave is a national treasure. I especially love the “punish Dave with questions “ episodes. I can’t wait to buy a Friedman plex. This show makes my day of delivering packages out of my brown truck much more enjoyable. Keep it up guys! And Thank you for what you do! Like the show, good content and relevant guest. However is contradictory that you have a show about all things related to musical sound and getting the best tone out of your guitar gear however you don’t take the time to properly balance and check the quality of the audio you are broadcasting thru the podcast.

Man I am pumped this is a pod! I’ve been watching on YouTube for yrs! Dave is the man, he’s seen it all and his extensive knowledge of amps and tone is yoda-like! I respect Friedman as a company( Dave is in all the amps and is available to his customers! That’s just the nuts. Hope to become a Friedman amp owner soon! Have the BE-OD pedal and that alone has me sold on where my 30 yr tone journey will end! And it ain’t with modelers! Great products and great podcast! Excellent guests and deep dives on amps and guitar related topics. If you play guitar, you’d be a fool not to hit subscribe! This show is great for gear nerds like me!!!

I adore this show. The guests and the long form conversations are amazing, but please update the podcasts more frequently. Sometimes it can take several weeks for the YouTube shows to get posted in podcast form, which is where I prefer to listen. Still a must listen for guitar gear fanatics!

These hosts and their guests have expertise that most of us do not have. Excellent knowledge of music technology and great stories from the music industry of decades past. I appreciate the lessons, stories, and the great casual tone of the show, like hanging out with friends.

I was excited when I came across this show but it sounds like a high school podcast from 2006. Terrible audio, unstructured format, stilted comments and all around low energy. I thought these guys were supposed to be tech/electrical wizards?

5 star guests. Deduct 1.5 stars for poor sound quality and another 1.5 stars for the really loud guy always laughing into the microphone so it splits your ears because you have to have the sound up so loud for the poor sound quality equals a 2 star podcast that could be a four or five star podcast. Sad.

The best podcast I've heard based on the quality of the guests and depth of conversation about gear. The Friedman connection clearly opens doors to bring in big name guests who likely would not be part of other podcasts. Constructive criticism: It might help new listeners if the show was a little more structured, like only taking questions that relate to the guest. In an ideal world, Dave could respond to Friedman-related questions seperately - after the guest signs off or in a video/podcast with just him and Marc. There are a couple simple things that could be done to tighten things up, like jotting down questions as they see them, as opposed to scrolling through comments and questions to find one later. I hope Dave and Marc keep making these for a long time.

You listen to enough episodes and you have a new angle on what might work with the sound you are going for. Please don’t ever shorten the episodes. We love the length. We love the information.

Great podcast for amp, pedals guitars. The only issue is listening to it is going make you want to buy a Friedman amp and a EVH guitar.

Hoping this show starts to become more than once a week. Always fascinated by the conversations that take place. NAMM, gear, Friedman, Egnater. Very interesting stories and insights.
