I love listening to Oratio. It always has a message as the "food for my soul" for that day, spiritual food. It especially is a blessing for me because, no matter how busy I am, I can listen to Oratio first before starting my rush schedule, a quick bite of my spiritual food, before savoring on all other KFUO wonderful programs like: Morning Prayers, Iron Sharpen Iron, Issues, etc., Thy Strong Words, etc.. Praise God! I am so thankful for KFUO and the programs.

    A Lutheran Audio Review
According to latin-dictionary.net, the word “oratio” can translate to mean “eloquence, prayer or speech and oration. ” Produced daily by KFUO (the LCMS’s own radio station in St. Louis, Missouri), Oratio is all these things and more, tightly packed into four minutes. Five days a week, KFUO host and Lutheran pastor, Rev. Kenneth Bomberger, reads the Psalm text for the day followed by a message based on that text. Each message is a little different, and all will leave you wondering how a man can pack so much good stuff into such a short period of time. Past episodes include the Psalms’ implication for our current culture or how that text was viewed by the church at various points in history. Each and every episode ties the text to other Old and New Testament verses and expounds on its proclamation of Christ to the world. If you’re looking for eloquence in a podcast and for the most you can get out of a short period of time, this is your show. As Pastor Bomberger often says, this show is “prayer, meditation and growth” brought to you every single day.
