I listen to a couple of episodes and it is so long! Not really the length of the episodes but how long it takes to get to the point. They laugh a lot which is fine but it’s like the entire episode. They never really get to the point and it is really annoying. I just stopped listening because they don’t edit it and it is just really annoying. I wouldn’t recommend for people who want a podcast that gets to the point. One thing ok about this podcast is they do care about Harry Potter. You can tell they are having fun even if it’s hard to listen to. Not amazing but it isn’t the worst thing I’ve ever listened to.

I’m a long time listener have enjoyed the it for the most part, but for the last year or so, the pod has gone downhill. They desperately need an outside editor or producer who’s willing to cut out the unrelated tangents and to help them stay on track. The hosts don’t seem to really care about the books and everything is made into a joke. Book 7 could have some really interesting topics but because they get hung up on doing accents or they’ll make jokes and start laughing hysterically; a lot of potential material isn’t talked about. the episode at Malfoy manner is intense and it seems like they can’t handle talking about serious situations so they deflect. Discord is really a good tool/resource to connect, but so often they refer to what’s going on in the discord chat that a regular audience member can’t understand because there’s no context. That kind of thing really should be cut out and it would really help with having such long episodes. Anymore because of all of the side conversations and goofing off, they only talk about 20 minutes worth of the book and the chapters are being split. If they would focus and cut out a lot of the unnecessary conversations and leave that for the Patreon only, the podcast would be much more enjoyable to listen to for the average listener and could be a little bit longer since they’ll be talking about source material. I’ll listen to the end of the book but I’m also dreading how unserious they’ll take the last few chapters. For as many kids that listen to them, I’m surprised they promote ads for cannabis. Very disappointing.

High five peeps. 🙌🏼Well done. 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼 I’m addicted to reading, and I read 8 hours straight on a normal basis (no cap, I get in trouble a lot for it, lol) I’m obsessed with Harry Potter and books and wish to become an author someday. I’m a kleptomaniac, and have stolen a lot of books…& pencils…& a lot of other things… but I haven’t stolen from actual stores, just libraries, and about a million other places. I love books beyond words, and have only gotten into it within the last 3 years. Yet I’ve read all the books, the Fantastic Beasts trilogy, watched the movies, & watched millions of Harry Potter YouTube videos. Plus hundreds of podcasts. I’ve listened to the books 57 times exactly, and I’m a reading psychopath. Love you guys!

I started my first ever read of the Harry Potter books 3 or 4 years ago and after becoming thoroughly obsessed I found your podcast! It was so nice to relive the series with my new friends because that what it feels likes listening to y’all!! I used to love crime podcasts, but once I got pregnant and had my baby I couldn’t listen to them anymore and your podcast is now my go to. Thanks for keeping the magic alive and for being a comfort when I needed it! ❤️ I recommend this podcast to all my fellow potter heads!

….if the hosts would just focus and not take so many tangents (and inside jokes, and giggle fest moments, …); the podcast could be half as long if it was tightened up. On the plus side, there’s a lot of good information (usually cultivated from other sources). It’s just so long unnecessarily.

First of all, I’m writing this review at 5am and I’m a little tired so sorry if this seems like it’s written weird or something. I love this podcast!! Tiffany, Megan, Katie, and Sarah’s (ik she technically left but still) insights are so thoughtful, yet still totally funny! There are SO MANY episodes, so if you were to start now, you would be set for a long time. I was sitting listening to an episode and they (the hosts) were saying something about the bingo sheets, and I just thought ‘any podcast with enough inside jokes to have bingo sheets full of them is a podcast worth listening to’ which is why I decided to write this review! I love how much I feel like I’m friends with the hosts, and their family. I’m probably one of your younger listeners (I’m not comfortable with saying my exact age, but I’m younger than 16) and I don’t really use social media. Even so, without even really having a clear picture of the swish cast in my head, I feel like I know their whole family so well! This podcast is definitely an essential podcast, up there with Mike Schubert’s “Potterless”, and Sequoia Simone & Kim’s “Fanatical Fics”, and any Harry Potter lover should definitely listen to this podcast! PS: As a fellow Slytherin, I side with Megan on the Mrs Noris Debacle

Enjoyed the deep dives into the lore for sure, but the differences in volume between the hosts, the constant laughter, and the talking over one another was hard to listen to for me! I can totally understand some may enjoy just feeling like they are the in room with the hosts chatting, but I prefer a bit more structure.

QUICK NOTES! Just call me Gingerbread if you read this on the podcast, also I’m still a kid so no things about growing up and still loving it (no I didn't get a letter I was sad about it)Don’t say these things on the podcast please! My potter story is that about two years ago for Christmas my grandma got me some of the books (1, 3, 4, and 5 I think) I started reading Sorcerers stone but didn’t like a page or two (past the owl bit) before I found it boring, anyways that summer I think my mom made me read them so I read the first one (I read the series on my kindle, kindles are the best) and I was hooked before Hagrid told Harry he’s a wizard. I couldn’t put them down, the only time I stoped was the middle of 5 cuz it was just sad, didn’t stop for long though. And before the summer was over I had finished them. Then after I read all the books my dad and I watched them together. last summer my family took a trip to Orlando to visit Disney world and Universal studios, it was originally opposed to be me, one of my sisters, and my dad but something happed so only my dad and I went so now I have a wand. Sorry if this is long, lots of stuff, hope you read this!

Anyways, hello, thank you for putting off a minute or two to read this! These women are absolutely inspirational. If you are looking for a deep-dive into one of the worlds most famous series this is for you. Maybe you’ll even learn more lore about the wizarding world (I know I did 🤷). It’s almost unbearable to wait a week for their next episode, especially since the newer episodes are shorter. The only criticism I can think of are the sounds. Lately some of the hosts either yell, mumble or just blurt out some obnoxious noise. The sound quality itself can be a bit rocky, for example: Tiff will be very loud (when she’s speaking normally), but then Megan and Katie sound a little more distant (when they’re at the same volume level irl). I understand that this is probably because you’re most likely recording digitally together since I don’t think yall live in the same state. But enough of there critical feedback, it’s not enough to bring my rating down or make me think any less of them :] My personal experience with these wonderful ladies: I am a proud Slytherin with a Bloodhound patronus (I’m sorry if I wrote that wrong, never been able to spell it correctly)! I believe my wand has a Phoenix core but that’s really all I remember and I don’t feel like going to pottermore to check. I found this podcast one boring afternoon mainly because I was bored and newly introduced to the series. I was on my third re-listen of Harry Potter and decided to search “Harry Potter” on the Podcast app, and oh my, am I glad I did! Just maybe a month or two after I started listening I hit a rough patch. My closest friends changed schools, I felt insecure and family issues were starting up again. Tiffany, Megan, Katie and Sarah got me through high and lows (I cried when Sarah announced her departure). Your supportive attitudes and playful banter were enough to guide me through how to accept myself and others. I especially love it when y’all get in your slaphappy moods, it has never failed to make my day brighter. Whether I’m on the bus, walking my dog or just need to tune out from reality, it manages to put a smile on my face. Speaking of smiling—which is something I do when I think back to this—I used to get your voices mixed up when I first started listening. And not like if Tiffany said something I thought it was Katie, oh no, I TOTALLY mixed y’all up. I thought that Sarah and Tiffany were married, Katie and Megan were sisters in my mind and that Katie was dating Tiffany’s brother. WHOOPS. I read the rest in a week (only 1h a day) i saw the first two movies right away but had to wait to see the rest. I tried to like this one but the volume is weird- I can hardly hear one host so I turn it up but then another one starts laughing SO loud and I have to turn it down. I like to listen while walking or at the gym so I can’t mess with the volume all the time. Also, they’re just cracking up about stuff listeners can’t see or I don’t get. I gave up on every episode I tried to listen to.

I like how the hosts are brimming with enthusiasm about Harry Potter, but sometimes the enthusiasm hurts my ears. One of the hosts seems to laugh right into the microphone, and when she gets excited, her voice suddenly shoots up in volume. I’m not even listening to the podcast with headphones, and I have it set at a reasonable volume, but the laughing and excited talking still hurt my ears. Maybe the hosts should think about getting an audio expert involved, maybe a fan who’s willing to work with them on the cheap?

Hello swish and flick I am a Gryffindor and am 10 years old my wand is a blackthorn phoenix feather 12 1/2 inches long my Patronus is an otter I first started my Harry Potter story by watching the first movie I was too young to see the end of it, but I was determined to see it. After a few years I watched the rest of them, and now I have watched the whole series and read all the books at least twice the first time I ever got a book was at the thrift store I saw this book and I asked my mom if we could get it. I am so glad I did because if I had it, I would’ve missed a great opportunity in my life. I have now went to Universal and went to the Harry Potter birthday event and booked 1 million.

I don’t really think I understood it but I still read it, I got really into it on book 3. I fell in love with Draco Malfoy… I took a break (my mom made me). Hi! Alright, so, my name is Isabella Deyling (Dee-ling) Mansour (Man-soor), I am probably one of your youngest listeners, (11 3/4, ding!) I am an only child—unless you count my dog, Akai. I have known that there was this thing called Harry Potter, and it was about wizards—my knowledge of Harry Potter went no further than that, until earlier this year, when I was looking for a movie to watch, and stumbled upon Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone. I had actually been avoiding Harry Potter because everybody was obsessed with it and I thought I wouldn’t like it. Oh how wrong I was!! I saw the first (ding) movie with my parents, and the second(ding), and third(ding), and fourth(ding, and finished them in a week. I got so confused about some aspects of the movies, and so, I read—well listened to the books. AND LOVED THEM. I was absolutely obsessed! I begged, BEGGED my parents to take me to universal studios (Hollywood because I live in San Diego) and my mom said we can go on my birthday! I took the sorting quiz and got Ravenclaw! My patronus is a white swan, and I don’t know what my wand is cuz I’m gonna let one choose me at universal. Then I looked for a HP podcast and found you girls! I am currently on the Hot Cup of Fire. My favorite characters are Hermione, Luna, Hedwig, Molly and Bellatrix, (I’m actually gonna be her for Halloween) my favorite DADA teacher is Lupin, Joody is a close second, and my favorite teacher overall is Professor Sprout and Madam Hooch. I have a theory that Myrtle wasn’t actually killed by the Basilisk, but just petrified (she wears glasses) and then Riddle came up and killed her. 🤔🤔 I’m going into a middle school that has 1200 students, while last year I was at a 200 student school. This podcast started out strong. They had good thoughts about the book chapters and characters. Now it has turned into making everything (and I mean EVERYTHING) a joke, giving all the characters nicknames, discussing a couple paragraphs of the book and then spending 20 minutes talking about what they are doing in their personal lives. One host has left and no mention of her coming back. It’s really changed. I miss the way it used to be. I was hoping that when they got to book 7, they’d take it more seriously, but they haven’t. A simple mispronunciation sends them into hysterical laughter to an immature level. It’s just taken a huge turn from where they started to where they’re ending. I only listen if all my other podcasts are up to date.

Hi, i’m 11 and i just wanted to say that I’m not a big pocast listener, but when I discovered this it is amazing! I hadn’t been super into harry potter for the past month, but this definitely brought me back. Thank you so much!! PS: my personal favorite fan theory is that Draco and Luna are cousins. I don’t know what you think about this, but i think it makes sense. I mean, their families are like the only ones in the franchise that have that iconic blonde hair. I think the theory is that since Luna’s mom us never seen, Lucius could be her brother…? I know this review is getting kind of long, but i noticed u guys like ron and hermione together. Them two are my favorite pairing as well. My favorite Harry Potter meme is actually alot like what Sarah commented about Hermione’s thoughts in episode 6. Hermione: And…you are???? i used to really love this podcast but have had to put it down recently for a few reasons. (1) one they added discord as a patreon perk, it sort of made the podcast much less fun for anyone not in discord. they are constantly engaging with people that way and meanwhile leaving out the context for the people just listening. it's improved a bit over the last year but i still wish they would edit a little more of that out so we don't feel so left out of the loop :-/ (2) since the books have gotten bigger, they started splitting the chapters, which makes sense sometimes, but other times into three parts, at which point one of the hosts is only covering "harry walks from the common room to the great hall". yet the episode is still 2 hours. i think i timed it once and we actually only got 30 min of book content which is a little disappointing. adding time stamps in the description would be super awesome for those of us that want to focus more on the book. (3) i love all the hosts but the inconsistency in their volume means we have to turn it up super loud to hear katie or megan, but then tiffany is busting my ear drums. i don't know if it's a mixing issue or if they just need to get closer to their mics but stupidly enough it makes it almost impossible for me to listen because it makes it so we can hear all of tiffany's constant grunting and mouth noises. and i'm one of those people that just CANNOT deal with mouth noises so i can only listen in like 15 min doses at this point. i listen with my husband whenever we're in the car and we love the book club part so much, and really don't even mind when they go off topic cause they're are so fun. but these minor issues have made it really difficult for me to enjoy recently.

Listening to this podcast is like hanging out with your own good friends while you talk about Harry Potter. Highly recommend if you like Harry Potter and like to laugh and think.

I really enjoyed the discussion side of the podcast but I’m not a fan of how some hosts treat the others when they have a different opinion. One in particular seems to always have a need to be correct or “jokingly” insults the others which, in my opinion, just comes across as “mean girl” behavior. Definitely feel a superiority complex there. Made me uncomfortable enough to stop listening.
