StrawHatWookieeFun but not seriousIf you are new to this show and over 25 skip the first 100 episodes, the episodes are good but more high school and college focused. Iām 38 about five years ago I first heard the term demisexual. While researching Demi, how I now identify as. I found an article talking of this podcast. About a year ago I finally gave it a listen. Iām almost caught up on it and itās definitely a fun podcast. They do some serious episodes and I learned a lot to help me with my own journey of understanding my sexuality. Over all itās a silly podcast that makes me laugh! Plus Iām a Michigander like the host. I will say I was disappointed with how they donāt understand Who Framed Roger Rabbit. The movie is masterpiece and the fact it was made is amazing and probably never happen again. Also they never watched the Animaniacs. Wish they would talk more about BLACKPINK and Stray Kids when they go down the K-Pop rabbit holes. Anyway in this this review is a good representation of how an episode goes! Everyone should listen to this podcast

dyactavcReviewing to drown out bad reviewsHi! Love this podcast- I'm genderqueer, asexual, and biromantic. I just felt like reviewing to drown out all the bad reviews.
-
kat111810Great podcast!I donāt understand why people are giving this podcast such bad reviews, itās a genuinely good show. My favorite episodes are probably the AITA and Reddit episodes, and when they just do weird stuff like taking quizzes.
-
LorekanNot a good representationI gave this podcast a fair shot and listened to 20-ish episodes. Iām ace and donāt feel this is a good representation. Thereās often a lot of irrelevant and boring rambling and/or arrogance with very little education or interesting thought.
-
leila dandoBest podcastI LOVE THIS PODCAST!! I havenāt found any other podcasts or shows about the experiences of aspec ppl! Do more pls!

Aidene SiannodelFrom one ace to two othersā¦ā¦you know youāre doing a good job when the ace/arophobes are review bombing you with indecipherable garble, probably without even listening to a full episode. Love you Sarah and Kayla, youāre helping me get through my days!

CherylPjIn the celebrating pride episodeAny time someone tells me that pride celebrations have been going on long enough itās time to unfollow. At a time when LGBT individuals are under attack. And laughing about ace erasure? Letās do anything else, including hanging around a big box store, rather than attend a celebration. No.

jesš„°This is grueling to get throughI gave this podcast a true shot , but every episode I tried to listen to I could barely get through. Why are these young 20 somethings giving relationship advice ? Itās cringe and extremely annoying to get through an episode especially the ones they are just talking about themselves or literally about nothing back and forth. A bunch of unfunny uninteresting fluff

IForgotToPutInTheCrystalsA fascinating look at narcissismImagine listening to two brainless narcissists talk for an hour. That's it. That's this podcast.

garlic breadšAmazingThis podcast has helped me so much on my journey to understanding my identity and place on the aspectrum. Kayla and Sarah are hilarious and never fail to make me feel seen.

your mom876I donāt feel alone anymoreLet me start off with, I love this pod. As an AroAce like myself, you can feel alone sometimes. When others donāt understand you and you donāt understand what others are trying to say. Itās a lot of confusion. Shara and Kayla I connect with. I love the dynamic that these two have. And they try to explain what I donāt understand. But it is really funny when both of them are confused and have to google it. Anyways, I just wanted to say I love the pod and keep it up. Love you guys :)

cocovmDumbing downHow in the world did these two get a podcast? Itās like eavesdropping on two high schoolers who think they have the life experience to spout off on complicated issues. With no research. Just opinion. And ālike, like, likeā. Stop saying ālikeā.

Changeling MxThe Human ConnectionThe content is excellent, but what this did for me was humanize being on the Asexual spectrum. I participate in many online communities, and navigate the Internet with my screen reader that provides synthetic speech for on screen content. The result is people were posting their experiences, but they didnāt sound human. The videos and recordings I could find were from people that sounded like they were just reading a script, so their delivery was robotic. Some weeks are better than others for sure, but my experience is now humanized. The only reason Iām not subscribed and have listener stats is Iām following the patreon feed.

Strung OutIncredibly mediocreSome of the episodes are ok but the most recent one is excruciating. Itās like getting dental work done without anxiety meds. The one with the strong midwestern accent is especially awful.
-
Just saying25Thank you so muchI thought I was demisexual a while ago but itās kinda controversial to people so I denied it, but recently I went back to considering it. Itās a term that feels like home to me rn which is really comforting. In fact I figured out Iām a Panromantic demisexual and I recently came out to my best friend which took the biggest weight off my shoulders. I recently found this podcast and it just makes things mor clear for me.

bloodhoney13Absolutely AmazingAs someone who has recently discovered their own asexuality, this podcast and the hosts have been so AMAZING to see on social media and to listen to. So validating. <3

Fiddle Buckets Jr.Founds sake, but KOIām asexual commander Shepard, and this is my favorite podcast on the Ace-itadel This is a good and informative podcast for both Banter but also for Topics. I recommend it for apecs and people interested in learning. It pairs well with introspection on your sexuality and a charming voiceover-free video game with annoyingly difficult mini games. From personal experience.

SmglccA truly great podcastThis podcast is amazing. As it reaches itās third birthday, I wanted to express my appreciation for the hosts, and the community Iāve found here. Thanks so much Sarah and Kayla for everything. Youāve helped my understand myself, and the people around me a lot more, and it has been great to travel on this three year journey with you guys. If you want to learn more about asexuality & aromanticism, or just year two friends have a good time, please listen Ok, I wanted to start of more serious, but you guys wanted haikus, so here you go. This podcast is great Big juice on a harder day Also there are cows If you want to laugh Out of context quotes are fun A turtle named Steve. Take care of your cows Or look out for stray chickens Watch out for Darnell Give this amazing podcast some love, and until then, take good care of your cows. ~Caitlyn

Kelsey MGHappy Bday Sounds Fake But Okay!I donāt have any silly haikus or jokes as requested on Twitter, but I just wanna day this podcast has helped me truly accept my identity and come into my own as an ace person. Iāve found a sense of community and belonging that I have come to treasure dearly. I know I can count on this podcast for support or just a laugh when I need it. So happy birthday to this wonderful podcast and thank you to Kayla and Sarah for being so amazing!

skfreskdoeodndnIntelligent and WarmAs an ace person who is tired of only hearing asexuality and aromanticism discussed at the introductory level, I love how this podcast approaches these orientations from multiple perspectives and intersections. Having friends, parents, and siblings as guests makes the show personal in a way that feels lacking in how ace and aro-ness are discussed in the media. Also, I love hearing Kayla and Sarah talk about their classes and extracurriculars. They are such smart, achieving women who give me hope in the younger generation.

Koreenathank youUm hey, a few things: I'm not an avid podcast listener. Even though I co-host a podcast, I like creating it but I've never been a huge fan of listening to podcasts. But as a lonely ace in a world that sometimes feels so sex-driven, I'm always looking for ace representation and discussion. I'm in a Faceboop group for aces and someone linked an article that listed podcasts by and for ace folks. I clicked on it SO FAST. I decided to give this one a listen first, because the premise intrigued me and I love a conversational vibe. I like to go back to the first episode with podcasts, even if they start out with sub-par quality or take some time to get their footing...I like to follow their journey. And I've only listened to the first episode but I just had to say THANK YOU. I love it. It's hilarious. It's relatable. And it makes me go "Hey! They're talking about me!" which is so rare as an asexual. Thanks ladies, you rock and I look forward to enjoying the next 130+ episodes.

Doug Rice in ClevelandHilarious, Insightful, RelatableIām 32, and I didnāt discover I was ace until two years agoājust a few months after this podcast started. Unfortunately for me, I didnāt discover the podcast until three weeks ago. I loved it so much that I listened to every single episode so that I could be caught up for when episode 100 is released today. It was worth every minute. I feel like Iāve gotten an education on what it means to be ace in both the ace/lgbtq community as well as in broader society. On top of that, Sarah and Kayla are just downright hilarious. They have great chemistry and are really enjoyable to listen to. Iād recommend this podcast to anyone who is asexual and/or interested in the intersection of sexuality and culture.

Jocelyn hs095 stars + some feedbackI just discovered this podcast and Iām so glad it exists. Iām giving 5 stars bc I want to boost visibility and we need more like it. I have 2 comments though that I hope will come across as constructive feedback and not hate ā on the whole I am really enjoying this! 1ā There are a lot of tangents which are often fun, but can make the discussion a little hard to follow (especially since I split episodes between commuting to & from work). Wondering if youād consider doing shorter, more focused episodes sometimes? Maybe answering listener questions, or something else very specific? 2ā One episode Iāve heard so far was extremely hard to listen to, and that was #38. In that episode, Sarah talks about feelings about the hyper couple-focused world we live in, and some of the things she shared felt extremely poignant, tender, and relatable to me. It felt really good to hear someone else expressing fears, doubts, and hard feelings that I too have felt. But I was really disappointed by Kaylaās responses, and in particular the way that Kayla seemed to be minimizing or dismissing Sarahās feelings. For instance, Sarah expressed the fear that her friends are going to all couple up and disappear from her life, to which Kayla said something like āThat wonāt happen!ā As a 30-yr-old demiaro ace, I HAVE lost friends this way. That kind of dismissal is what I get all the time from allo friends who Donāt Get It. Yāall clearly have a loving and beautiful friendship, and I trust that those comments probably didnāt hit Sarah the way they hit me. But I wanted to write an honest comment to yāall about how hard that was to hear. I hope that youāll both stay as open & curious about each otherās different experiences as you would anyone else in the world to be, and encourage Kayla to remember that there are microacegressions that arospec people may experience that you donāt, and practice active listening always. Iām writing all of this from a place of love and appreciation for all you do, truly. Please keep it up.
