B3asyEpisode one should be called…My homoerotic machinations
-
FirstTimeCallrFun, heartfelt, and resonantThis has rapidly become one of my favorite podcasts. Mark and team do an incredible job of dissecting and delving into the masculine identity in personal and genuine ways.
-
youcant_handlethetruthObsessedI am obsessed with this podcast. It is exceptional with regard to going beneath the facade of masculinity. There is alway so much vulnerability in each episode that I have listened to. I am frequently moved, and I deeply appreciate the care that goes into the retelling of the stories.
-
frysaucepirateTime to get help.I love this podcast. I’m in my 40s and cannot believe how relevant all of this is in my life. It’s a comfort in itself to know that I’m not the only one who struggles with some of this stuff. Also, I’m super grateful for the episodes in season three. They gave me the courage to reconnect with my best friend from school and it has made such a difference in my life lately.

mspassell8,000 stars!!!Mark Pagán is letting us explore all of the fears, joys, and vulnerabilities of the male experience with beautiful storytelling, empathy, and humor. He enters his topics heart first. This podcast is a hug and a service to every man or anyone who has been confused by, or frustrated or in love with one.
-
Quincy116I am obsessed 😍I have loved every episode of this podcast. It really has put so many words to my thoughts about male friendship and allowed me to have conversations with my friends. I’ve introduced this to a couple of my friends and will keep telling more people.

BobbiF1986Just the bestI think I found the show on list somewhere. I can't remember but I binged the whole thing in about a week. I've had a hard time relating to guys since I was younger. Don't get me wrong, I've got friends and men I trust. But I've felt like an outsider and it's been hard to over the years. And I can't remember reading, watching, or listening to something that hit the nail on the head of what goes through my mind everyday like Other Men Need Help. Like the small things that no one talks about. The host, Marc and the show has given me something I didn't expect. Maybe it's hope. It definitely makes me feel connected. Funny, sublime, really soulful, and just breezy and honest in a way that I don't find in other shows. So much to say but what I can definitely say is this is now one of my favorite podcasts. It makes me smile, feel braver and less alone. Thank you.

please talk betterTries too hard?I like the subject matter and production but the host can be annoying. I just don’t feel like he’s pulling off the goofy quirky thing. It comes off as trying too hard and is grating. Humor is very subjective and so it’s risky. The show would be much better if he relaxed into the topic and tried less to be an entertainer.

Ed Z.A Bright LightMark Pagan brings us a fresh take on the familiar subjects of friendship, masculinity, and yes, vulnerability. Mark offers personal insights which illuminate the dark corners of our emotional world. It’s a light he shines brightly, and is a pleasure to behold.

Cephal0PunkI (like other men) need all the help I can getI am so thankful that this podcast showed up in my recommendations. Internalized struggles, naming insecurities, and feeling called out by a friend I have never met. With my guy friends absorbed in their own pandemic bubbles and harder to get a hold of than I would like, Mark is helping me be better and search out the help I need to keep perspective. My only wish is that I could grab a beer with this guy!

Me:(Like listening to a friend listen to and speak to other friends. No Mark Pagán is not my friend. Would I like that to be the case? Absolutely. To have a male perspective in my life who manages to be so thoughtful, and vulnerable, while simultanesuoly airs out his insicuritues in the process is a beautiful thing. I don't have very many men in my life that I'm close to, and they've always been a bit of an enigma to me. What they think, how they think, the wild conclusions they manage to find themselves at the end of it all. I've never understood, and I still don't, but this podcast has certainly given me new perspective. I've been listening to it rapid fire for the last three weeks and I'm so sad that I'm reaching the end. What will I do now without the many comforting voices of Mark in my ear while I work? I guess I won't know until that terrible time comes I guess. Also, a slow appreciative round of applause for the team, also doing a trendous job. The production and mixing of this show is a thing of beauty and you all should be extrememly proud of yourselves. Okay that's all. I'm off to share this podcast with every man I know in the hopes they wise up a bit. xoxo

Caity ChirpSuch a joy to listenI never miss an episode. Mark’s storytelling and narration are fantastic, and it feels like hanging out with a much-loved friend.

HenrypedFantastic PodcastThis podcast is a work of art! I started binging it this summer, and now I am eager to listen to each new episode as it’s released. It reaffirms and comforts me, but also makes me question thoughts I have on my relationships and thoughts as a man and as a person. I really appreciate the sincerity from everyone on this podcast. Very much recommend this podcast to anyone interested in listening to great, relatable storytelling, as well as those interested in how people communicate to one another.

NYC HarlemitePleasantly surprised! As someone who has distanced themselves from religion and the church, I was blown away at how awesome the “Rollin’ with the Holies’ was! Funny, witty, and unconventional approach to social justice through the lense of two pastor friends! Did not expect to laugh so much. Shoutout to Cierra Franco for sharing this and for the awesome production work.
-
MW10928Not just for men; exploring our connectednessI enjoy Other Men Need Help and look forward to the release of each new podcast. Even though I am an older WF, I enjoy hearing the presentation of Pagan’s questions and thoughts and the exploration of friendships in Season 3. I always relate to some person or topic presented. For example, in Rollin with the Holies, there is a clever interweaving of clergy-the loneliest calling, ADD, civil rights, the south, coffee, and taking a chance on becoming a friend. This is my favorite episode so far. The production team does a great job, and I find myself immersed within the podcast and not thinking that anything should be done differently. It is easy to lose yourself in the listening, as it should be. Highly recommended!

rhazlettAll the things I wanted to say as a man, but never didSeason 3 about make friendship is funny and so insightful. It says everything about friendship that I always thought, but never really imagined other men felt. I wish every guy in America had a chance to listen to this show, especially S3 E6. As an added bonus, the music for the show is just perfect.

Matisha101Insightful and a breath of fresh airOne night after listening to a crime podcast, I was looking for something light hearted, fun and refreshing. This show has a bit of everything and I throughly enjoy the interviews. Some podcasts the host does all the talking- but Mark interviews lots of people and I find that a breath of fresh air.
-
queenlex7Absolute joyThis Podcast is so enjoyable to listen to. Always a breath of fresh air and a wonderful listen every episode. The interactions between men being broken down and analyzed by a man are genuine and healthy. Toxic masculinity stands no chance.
-
AutisticChildSo in depthThe research and the connection are so real and deep. I get caught up in it and relate to feelings frequently.
-

-
Cassie 1980SwoonI adore this podcast for so many reasons! It’s a cheeky, funny take on the feelings and, dare I mention, insecurities men face. I love it and have started sharing it with my 16 year old bonus son who is also a fan.
-

SayaK7Male friendships for the win!Love the newest season’s theme of male-centered friendship! It’s a subject that is often dismissed or neglected in public discourse. Can’t wait for the rest of the season! Also, that song from the first episode is such a bop!
-
Connor_SoularGardeningPersonal, insightful and relatableI’m really grateful that I stumbled upon this podcast. Mark Pagán is a natural storyteller and his self-effacing humor and honest reflection is engaging, hilarious, moving, and relatable. As a cis het man, I hear a lot of myself in Mark’s reflections about his internalized ideas about ~being a man~ and the insecurities and self-destructive behaviors connected to those. This podcast pulls back the curtain on toxic masculinity in such a compassionate, clever and skillful way, and I really value the work that Mark and his team are doing. I want to recommend this show to all the men in my life, and all the women too, who I know would enjoy the stories, humor and insight. Thanks for the great podcast Mark, I look forward to following your work and wish you great success!

allgiants20Other Podcasts Are GoodThis one is also good and additionally tender, curious, and incisive, hitting a really rare sweet spot of being critical without compromising its benevolence and vice versa. So actually it’s great.
-
BarriesaxxyVery EnjoyableI've very much enjoyed listening to this podcast. The host's insights are unique and humerous and I get excited when I see new episodes.
-
AnknoifMemoir-style CommiserationThis show is refreshing and timely. It's hard to find other men to share these things with. I appreciate your candor and humor in equal measure, but most of all, I admire your decision to share so much of yourself. Masculinity is a hell of a thing to grok, from any angle, and your "Help" for "Other Men" (😉) is valuable. So thank you for sharing your insight, follies, and adventures with us.
-
onthetiltGrateful! So, I just discovered I listening to this show that I, myself, and one of those “other men who need help”. I will be referring it to my friends who called me on their way from therapy sessions because they’re still looking for answers. Thanks Mark. Brother, M
