Catawba KingOpen-minded discussionsZach covers a wide-range of health, wellness, and running topics. I’m always learning from keeping an open-mind to his and his guest’s opinions, the same way Zach approaches his own evolution. We are lucky to have Zach (and occasionally Nicole) in the space. ✌🏻💚🏃🏼♂️

Praise be to Zach Bitter!Insight and passion from one of the bestI’ve been following HPO for a couple years now. While there are a number of great podcasts on running, I can say that HPO has had the most dramatic effect on my personal running improvement. Zach’s ability to discuss complex topics ranging from nutrition, mindset, training, and general running philosophy is impressive. He’s an important voice for the ultra-running community and those of us who are open to learn are lucky to have such an accessible podcast to improve our own performance. Thanks Zach!

JcwallerInteresting and InformativeGreat interviews with thought provoking people. I really liked the interview with Vinny Crispino - Exploring the idea that movement could be the solution to pain vs when it hurts, stop.

BP WriterConsistently Terrific PodcastZach is a great host with great guests! Especially loved the episode with Vinnie Crispino who suffered a surfing accident and discusses his journey to avoid back surgery and the establishment of the Pain Academy. So many awesome take-aways! Thanks Zach!

ETrain7273Interested in Athletic Performance? If you're interested in athletic performance, you should listen to this podcast. I'm into barbell training and have never been a fan of long distance running, so the earlier episodes featuring Shawn Baker were my favorites. However, I still listen to the recent episodes featuring Zach Bitter, as you can still get great tips on enhancing performance from his insights.

LisaIsHereForItIncredible guests, great info! 🙌🏻It’s obvious Zach puts extraordinary effort into every single episode of Human Performance Outliers. What makes this show a true standout is the quality of the guests, stories, and tactics. Zach shares insights that only a true practitioner can unearth. Don't miss it!

patrunsultrasExcellent podcast! It’s truly a treat to have access to the thoughts of a guy like Zach Bitter. It’s amazing to hear how intricate, meticulous and well-thought-out his strategies are. He has fabulous guests as well. I really enjoyed his conversation with Pete Kostelnick. Two legends in the sport of ultrarunning for sure!

jbird8888Great podcastWhat a knowledgeable and well-spoken host... great job with your show Zach. So much good information shared in your episodes. I will say: there have been some major contradictions— some guests giving solid arguments for periodized HFLC diets (moderate protein), followed by that recent guy simply pushing a LOT of protein like he’s 30 years behind the curve... and you didn’t really challenge him on it... but hey, I forgive you for your part in that and think maybe you learned something from that inconsistent messaging. I appreciate you trusting your listeners to discern between good information and not, but I hope we don’t have to make those determinations too often. Keep up the good work!!

EJB1212Truly eye-openingBaker has changed thousands of lives for the better by exposing the medical and nutritional industries. This show is a must-listen for all humans looking to improve their health and cut through the BS we’ve been fed our whole lives.
-
plasma1010Far beyond DietThis show goes real deep, into Anthropology and really keeps the attention. Understanding the diet of pre-glacial recession peoples helps us understand what we should be eating today.
-
Scratched GlassGood content needs better audio quality. It’s a very interesting podcast, but there is a need for better audio. A small investment in some microphones would go a long way.
-
Thermonuclear DetonatorOutstandingThis is the absolute best podcast for health and performance. The guests are top notch, and the content is disruptive. This is serious, challenging material from credible, knowledgeable, experts who walk the talk.
-
Ruffdog113Deep podcast with the very best guests!!These guys crush it.
-
Lia kassStaggeringThere are other excellent podcasts but this might be the peak in terms of depth, breadth, & interviewing veracity of the hosts. Not to mention how consistently prolific it is. Crazy.
-
RobertG.1960Podcast# 163.Podcast 163 with John Ikerd was one of their most interesting, informative, and refreshing talks. Great job to all involved.

lakelady91Oct 3 episodeTalking to this socialist who thinks Biden and Sanders has a “bold plan” for “sustainable farming” was a waste. He uses his moral high horse to smash down to local farming, where we all live in huts, eating our vegetable & cereal gruel over small dung fires. How ‘bout we only do that while we rip up many of those big farms that have been on grasslands and reinstitute ranching. I enjoy grain fished beef. And other ruminates like lamb. You can’t get most people HEALTHY if they can’t afford MEAT. and FISH

mute77Invaluable resource on LCHF and carnivoreAlways insightful and great conversations around a LCHF , carnivore , nutrition and athletic performance based approaches, but never too dogmatic. Zach and Shawn have a great dynamic and balance and bring a sense of humor from time to time which helps break up all the science and nutrition talk. Only reason I offer 4 stars and not 5 is due to fairly consistent sound troubles. Zach is right restart your computer Shawn ! Or maybe no video until it’s been sorted ? At any rate I really , really appreciate all that this podcast offers! Thanks guys!
-
lea moyExcellent content/ choice of guestsWhat sets this podcast apart is their excellent content, standards for evidence based information, and the quality of featured guests. Always something to learn. Excellent interviews and questions asked. No fluff here. Valuable use of time.
-
LisaalexgrayGame-changerLike sitting in on an incredible college lecture each episode. Nobody out does the level of educational information available here! Truly extraordinary!!
-
indiafarrahEpisode 105Love the show, always something new, and I enjoy being challenged. On episode 105, Tristan Haggard made an off-handed comment equating the way a woman dresses and promiscuity. Certainly backward thinking, and he should have been called on it.
-
Nancy BrookLove this showFrom the human wolf woman to the raw carnivorous man, this show stretches my mind to alternate ways of living and eating. My only complaint is audio quality is that sometimes off. But hey. It’s a free podcast so I can deal with it. Keep up the great show.
-
CF JannieGreat podcastThis podcast has quickly become my favorite. Thank you for putting together such good episodes with great guests and interesting questions and dialogue

-
Helen from Wyoming, PAGreat podcast! So many good interviews. Learning so much.
-
kcff738Great diverse viewsThere are A LOT of views in the keto carnivore range. Zach and Dr Baker do a great job of letting their guest present their views and information without interruption or presenting their own conflicting ideas. Just a good solid hour of things to think about without a bunch of emotional foggy ness.
-
ashruiz14Enjoying the contentReally enjoying the content and that the dialogue is not just about the carnivore diet. Zach, need to work on the “uhh’s” and “like’s” as they are said very frequently and distract from dialogue.
-
DJGskiMy new favorite health podcastAudio quality has improved significantly from earlier episodes, changed to 5 stars. These guys are legit athletes and ask good questions. It would help to introduce guests for those that don’t know their research, for example, like they do at research talks when they introduce speakers.
-
Rg$1Honest!I love listen to this podcast. Very educational and honest ! They always have great guests and they cover awesome range of topics and questions.
-
Bball starGood infoLove the info! It’s unreal. For someone who just wants to listen and learn without any selfishness and people going on about random crap this is it
-
calaxatronGood but needs improvementI would listen to this podcast more regularly if it had better audio. It’s frustrating to put effort into trying to understand the guests because their audio is fuzzy or cutting out. I genuinely want to listen to this podcast, it has good content and I think it’s important but we gotta be able to hear what people are saying.
-
SPARTAN0369Crazy amount of informationI just recently learned about the carnivore movement, despite being Keto for 2 years now. In the last month I have really paid attention to what Dr. Baker has been saying , and I cannot get enough information! One of the best podcasts ever!
