6mn give or take of fluff at the beginning, then fluff at the end; find a way to shorten it. wasting time makes for a low value podcast It’s ok besides that, but the point about fluff is a point that needs to be given a lot of weight

The fact that Franz is older and has seen a lot in his career helps add to the lessons. I really like his personal stories to help reinforce the teaching concepts. I have been involved in the financial services industry under a few different titles over the last few years and decided to finally start studying for the SIE examination and have listened to a few of the episodes here by Franz . As a podcaster: I give him 1 star I don’t really like how he seemingly talks down to the listeners. One of his first statements on this podcast was an ageism complaint saying that young people didn’t have life experience so they cannot give good financial advise. Other times he has given an overlay of things “you need to know” then seemingly just follows up with go to his website and buy the course. (Corny sales tactic) As a salesman: 3 stars I have been around the block a few times with different sales jobs. You are never supposed to pressure a potential customer by insinuating inferiority of knowledge and that the customer can only trust you. I think if he improved his tone and tried advising and teaching more than “highlighting” and “scrutinizing” He gets 3 stars because I respect he is making content and some individuals may find this useful. As an investor: 0 stars I listened to his most recent podcast about the COVID-19 and I instantly lose respect for people that say they “foresaw this crash coming” and he’s been selling his clients equities for they last 3 years. The last 3 years the market has been fantastic, and if he moved all his clients equities into treasuries then I feel bad for their returns over the last few years.

I want to enter the financial services industry this podcast is a great way to start learning about the topics I need to understand in order to take the securities industry’s essentials exam. It’s great that now I can prepare for this examination and my entry into the financial services industry without being required to be an employee of a broker dealer or associated firm of FINRA. I enjoyed the audio method of learning and I’m glad that Franz is putting out this series of audio lessons.
