I like the podcast, but too much time goes between episodes. Scott isn’t the most engaging host either. Mike does a great job steering the ship.

I squealed with delight when I saw there was new episode. Even more so when I saw the title.

So happy the two of you have returned with your wit and wisdom about movies and their stars. This is a show that I search for. ♥️

I love Scott michaels!! I’m a big true crime fan especially if LA murder crimes and he knows all of it I really enjoy watching him being interviewed and this podcast is HOT

Brilliant premise, great insight into the subject matter, good chemistry between the hosts but Scott has a petty and personal problem with something or somebody in every single episode. Every single one. If he could just get a therapist or work the steps this show would be perfect.

This is a listen to same day it’s released podcast. Patreon is worth the extra content too

One of my favorite podcasts these guys do a lot of homework before they put out each episode. You learn so much about the dearly departed. I wish I could talk Scott and Mike to give my eulogy when I die.

I love this podcast! I was a fan of six degrees of Helter Skelter (found it in a used DVD bin in 2010) and just learned that they had a podcast. As a podcaster, I’m envious of their production and content! Love the random knowledge and random stories that tie the episodes together. Keep up the great work. I really enjoy this podcast! Especially the random bits of trivia we get. I was listening to the one about the Addams Family and when the information about Hollywood Forever was really interesting!

Stumbled upon this podcast and happy I did. My only complaint is that there aren’t more episodes. I’ve also subscribed to their YouTube channel. I highly recommend. Their knowledge of The Manson murders and old and current Hollywood stars and TV shows is amazing. More please. Thanks for the podcasts, I highly enjoy them.

A really enjoyable AND educational podcast

Long ago I use to think about celebrity graves and death places. I think it started with Bob Crane I was young guy. But I knew Hogans Hero’s from watching it with my grandpa. Anyhow I remember seeing the pics. The place he was killed and Was fascinated. Anyhow, tears later came the internet. And I thought hey let’s punch in celebrity graves and low and behold the first thing that popped up was DEARLY DEPARTED. HOLY COW people have the same morbid fascinations as me. Anyways…I traveled across the country twice to take the Helter Sketer tour and his Dearly Departed tour. I always said Scott’s the real deal if you want REAL Hollywood history !! Love this podcast!! Wish there was one every week. But it’s ok cuz it gives me something to look forward too.

This has quickly become one of my favorite podcasts. I have listened to every episode numerous times. Scott and Mike have great rapport and they discuss really interesting Hollywood history and keep it light and fun. Scott’s social media and YouTube channel are also fun and super interesting and he clearly has a passion for what he does and, probably because he’s older and wiser, sticks to what he does REALLY well without ruining it with continuous political opinions. Unfortunately, Mike hasn’t adopted that magic formula yet, and while he appears to be a very talented producer/film maker, his social media is more political opinion than highlighting his talents and what he does for a living.

Both Mike & Scott habitually say…..yeah,yeah,yeah…..1-It’s forced….2-It’s fake…3-It was a fad…4-It’s over…Please stop…Thank you…

I’ve been listening, and re-listening, to Dearly Departed since being sent home to work due to COVID. (Now I can listen at full volume). I’m bummed I never got to go on a tour - Scott’s tour was one of my “must do” things on my list, when I go on my LA vacation. DD is definitely one of the best podcasts for someone like me - I love the trivia, the interesting stories, stories behind the movies and actors, etc. Scott and Mike have a great rapport together. This podcast has it all, and I look forward to their future podcasts. It’s a pleasure to listen to every day.

I appreciate your podcast. Death is a subject our culture avoids. Especially for those who are eccentric or under unfortunate circumstances. You are telling their stories with respect. Marilyn Monroes story?… Many theories, tho she likely accidentally overdosed. But would like to hear your take. 😚

I could honestly just listen to Scott Michaels talk all day. Both because of the stories & fun chatter and because he’s got a really great voice. This podcast makes you wish you could hang out with him and his friends at a bar or a party.

Fun podcast! I’ve been binge listening. Great stories and name drops. I knew Scott Michaels already from the Six Degrees of Helter Skelter talkumentary. That hokey voice in the intro cracks me up. Sounds like a leprechaun crypt-keeper.

Just found this show after searching through tons of celebrity, mostly boring, podcasts. The information is accurate, interesting, and it’s clear that the hosts are well-read on their subjects. They’re terrific. The topics are enjoyable, especially Grease and Lucille Ball. I’m glad to have found your show!

These guys are so much fun to listen to. I especially love hearing inside information and trivia about old movies I love. You can tell Scott and Mike love what they do, and the trivia feels real, not like some of the b.s. you get with some tribute shows.
