Britney KayNot the same as Parenting JunkieI use to love her content, but suddenly it has changed its tone. Never ever let a baby cry it out. Sure parents shouod walk away take a break but to advocate that its okay to let them cry themselves to sleep is contrary to actual studies. The babies stop crying because they accept that they will not be responded to, creating a sense of hypervigilence in their nervous system. Check out Dr Mate for more that. Also, whats with the anti feminist content? Totally different than her original content.

Laura Esposito O'DonnellAvital is my HERO!I LOVE this podcast and can’t get enough of it. I’ve tried others and quickly abandon them thinking, “I can’t be this perfect! This is crazy.” Avital coaches in a way that feels sane, achievable and supportive. It has helped me so much with my relationship with my children and also with my relationship with myself and my partner. She is brilliant. And I get the sense when I’m listening that she’s caring for me as a mother the way she cares for her children; holding up high standards and at the same time offering high support. Avital’s guidance feels “real,” achievable and undogmatic. I honestly hated parenting advice before I found her. Now I’m loving it and becoming a better mom everyday.

Vbvbvb2011S2, E29!!!!This episode should be made a “have-to” episode for each and every parent to listen to!! I’ve been thinking for so long and now that I have kids I found the balance, gentle and authoritarian parenting by themselves don’t work, we create unhealthy children, but finding the balance can save the kids of the future, community, values, boundaries, create resilient children!!!

Stephanie Jo KingComfort & Conviction - The Gentle Motivation We All NeedI listen to a variety of podcasts concerning a variety of topics. I came to Avital’s podcast for practical parenting advice, but her words have fed my soul in ways that reach even further. Avital guides and encourages listeners with a a masterful blend of “come-as-you-are” with an ambitious growth mindset. When I am listening to this podcast, I know I am going to receive both comfort and conviction, a hug and a push, room to rest and encouragement to improve. Thank you, Avital, for pouring into the lives of strangers like me. The world is better for having you in it!

lizzer3Forever gratefulI was lucky enough to find Avital’s podcast around the start of the pandemic. At the time I found myself thrown into a stay at home mother role with a 3 month old baby and 18 month old toddler. To say I was overwhelmed is an understatement; I was in complete survival mode and struggling with postpartum depression and anxiety. I have put in a lot of work since then, completely guided by Avital. I have gone from survival mode to family bliss. I have learned how to be intentional with my parenting and strive for connection and presence with my family. Since then I have joined present play and continue to learn more about myself and strengthen the relationships with my family. I have learned not to define myself by my career and what I do, but to define myself but the kind of person I am. I am lifelong learner and committed to a growth mindset. Avital has literally changed the course of my life for the best and could never thank her enough! I have so much love for you!

HollowfacesThank youThank you for creating content that inspires me. You have helped me in my journey of healing and making connections with my kids and husband. I am so glad I found your podcast. It has almost been a year since I have discovered you. I find myself going back to podcasts that are on areas I want to grow or that I am struggling in. I am slowly getting to know myself better and having a connection with me. Getting out of survival mode and being present in my life.

AlissaDBrossmerLove her philosophyI’ve been listening to her work for years! Her ideas and philosophies about partnership, parenting and just adulting in general is spot on. Her work is also NOT just for parent's, as I myself am not a parent... yet. I just find out I'm having my first little one. I can say that I am grateful for following her as long as I have, I feel sooo prepared to be a mama! IM READY!! 💕 Love from New York - Alissa B

Bree1787AmazingI’ve connected with Avital’s words and have been a listener for awhile, but after a recent spiritual awakening (aka anxiety crisis, if anyone suffering with anxiety needs some hope and encouragement that extreme beauty can come out of the depths of despair), her words have taken on an even greater meaning. She is truly a beacon of hope and love if you are in a stage of life where you are seeking that. Even if it comes off as “woo woo”, tuck the name into the back of your mind if possible, you may come to a point where these words are exactly what you need. A most sincere thank you Avital!

XtineNicole84The worry fairy 🧚♀️I can’t tell you how much I needed to hear this episode. This simplistic way of viewing my magnified fears really put things into perspective for me. Thank you for this. Thank you so much! I’m hoping this helps me to be able to drive on the highway and over bridges anxiety free with my babies in the car.
-
BchiarotLoved loved loved this episode!Once again, you hit the nail on the head. Thank you for having the courage to speak openly and honesty about social media. More people need to hear your message.
-
GiayiLove!Avital’s podcast is one of my favorites. I appreciate how respectful and non dogmatic she is of other voices and how she highlights mindset shifting. Her work on the podcast and through her present play course has been invaluable to me—especially during the days of quarantine.

justshapeshiftAmazing parenting-relationship podcastWonderful podcast. It’s a gem and it has been a godsend. Because I’m fine tuning my life and learning to align myself with the things that bring joy, this podcast came through to me at the best time. I was beginning to feel isolated and burnt out and so it was a life saver. It’s exactly what I want: mindful parenting bringing peace, love and joy into my family. Avital is beautiful and smart and so encouraging to listen to. I’m so grateful and I’m definitely interested in trying the Love in Parenting courses soon.

Parent of 1 year oldMy FavoriteI love Avital’s perspectives on parenting. She really does take a middle of the road approach by examining and evaluating the best parts of different parenting philosophies and then presenting them in a way that make so much sense I usually can’t believe I didn’t figure it out myself. I have been listening to Avital on YouTube and her podcast and it’s all amazing, full of wisdom and truth. Thank you Avital.

BoyMom11Best. Podcast. Ever.I cannot day enough wonderful things about Avital and how she doesn’t make anyone feel judged or feel like they are parenting the “wrong way” and episode 64 is no different! Homeschooling vs public/private schooling can be a touchy subject but she addresses it with such ease and in such a different way that it helps you to feel supported in your decision to either homeschool your children OR send them to school! Once again Avital, thank you so much for your insight and helping us to think outside the box!
-
Ljt2Affirming and hopefulI usually go into the podcasts worrying that I’m going to feel not good enough or hopeless about being able to do all that’s suggested. However, Avital shows so much compassion and understanding and helps me to feel like I’m doing my best and also it’s possible to make shifts in my mindset, actions and way of being with my kids.
-
Trang DI love TPJThis is the place I go for parenting advice! Avital has such a broad and deep knowledge about raising children, and her advice are so resonate with me. Thank you for all the great work you have done for parents lime me and you make me believe that a peaceful parent is possible.
-
bredondaI agree with peaceful parentingI came across this podcast on YouTube and though I don’t agree with everything you’re saying I agree with The whole Concept of peaceful parenting. Majority of everything you’re saying is accurate
-
loriannhoneyGame-changing parenting support!Thank you Avital for not only laying the groundwork for us by faithfully following your heart, learning the steps and walking the talk- but thank you also for having the courage to share it all with the world. I’m not one to leave reviews but I have to share with you that in the 6 months that I’ve been enacting your advice I’ve decluttered our entire home, become a unified force of love and patience with my husband/parenting partner and yell/scream/freak-out at my kids, like, 92% less than I did before (which was what initially led me to find your work). I am really thankful that I stopped crying alone in my closet, looked for help, and found your brilliant, real, grounded and determined self. Thank you, thank you!
-
mimiimooreI finally love parenting!I can’t even describe the way this podcast has changed my life and our family dynamics. I knew I wanted to parent differently from how I was raised, but leaning towards an extreme attachment parenting style wasn’t really working well for my family either. The parenting junkie has helped me find a happy medium that feels so good and right. Avital discusses parenting-related topics in a way that is so nonjudgmental and helps you tune into your own instincts. She is the voice I needed in a time of crisis. Parents are so bombarded with opinions and information already- I love that there are no rules/tools/guidelines that go along with TPJ- just a simple mantra to love parenting, and parent from love. I only wish I had learned of TPJ sooner! I recommend this podcast to all parents, no matter where they are in their journeys. Thank you, Avital, for the important work you are doing. It empowers me to see the importance of the work my husband and I are doing, too!
-
jchipepoSo helpful!Your information has helped me so much. When you only have a limited amount of time to listen to a podcast as a mom this one is a must! Thank you!

June PardoLucky to find youI am so thankful to have found you. I heard you right when I needed it- you are so honest, straight forward and just genuine. Exactly what I needed to wake up and get better as I start my journey as a new mom. Gracias, from the new mom born in Mexico and grown in Chicago :)

kathrynbrown12A friend who is in my head....but in a good way!!Each time I listen to a new episode of TPJ I feel like I have a friend who has heard my joys, concerns, doubts, wins, and day to day life of being a mother and is responding in a gentle peaceful way with zero shame or judgement! This show somehow manages to blend parenting wisdom, practical advice, lots of parenting research, with humor & playfulness and wraps it up in a beautiful package... delivered to me each week to listen to. I love your delightful & unique voice and hearing about your precious family. Thank you for sharing! Your friend, ~we just haven't met in person yet ;) ~ - Kathryn from Saxapahaw, NC

TimRamosaswAvoiding burn outI can’t say how glad I am to have come across your content. I feel as though you are literally in head and home. Your simple yet profound take on not burning out and how important it is to not hold ourself as moms to superhero status is so important. It’s ok to get help, it’s ok to not be perfect, it’s ok that our help is not perfect , it’s ok to feel the ups and downs of parenting and it doesn’t make us “less than”. Thank you so all the work you put onto your content.

SwissCakeRolledFinding the joyI have been listening/ watching and present playing with Avital for over 2 years. I currently have a 2.5 year old and I am so thankful that I found her YouTube page a few years ago. We are a military family living in Japan and my first year of motherhood was incredibly hard - I remember watching my first few Parenting Junkie videos and rolling my eyes at the entire concept of peaceful parenting. There was no way it was possible to feel in control?! Or was there? Well I’ve done a lot of hard work - focused on understanding my triggers / my fear / my unresolved issues. I’ve learned to organize my environment- be a strew pro ... and most importantly how to see and ENJOY the beauty in motherhood. I’ve learned that there are other ways to parent. Being confident in my decision to not spank - how to find “my tribe” of like-minded mother .. and how to still use un-like minded mothers as mentor-moms. I’m appreciating simple, slow days and on my way to being a more whole-brained human being. Cheers to the long, hard, beautiful journey! My husband and I are considering homeschool and instead of being lead by fear, I am embracing the challenge and instead of saying No ... I’m saying Why Not. Thank you so so much - Erica

NewMama56Pulled me out of PPDI cannot express just how much Avital’s work has impacted my life as a new mom. I was deep in the throes of postpartum depression for an entire year last year. I began implementing her “tough love” advice about accepting help from others and taking self-care SERIOUSLY. With time, and little by little action on my part each and every day (Avital’s motivating voice in my head always!), I turned my life and parenting around. Thank you Avital. Love, a very grateful first time mom

Just your regular ol average personLove parentingI am so glad I found this podcast. I love love love it. I have always struggled with being a perfectionist, so when it came to parenting I aspired to follow all the parenting practices perfectly. When I couldn’t do it, or it didn’t work with my baby, I felt like a failure. Avital drives home the idea of not having to be perfect & just doing your best and what works for your family. I love the advice of making parenting decisions based off of what’s going to make you love parenting & what’s going to help you parent from love. Her mantra “love parenting & parent from love” is my new mantra as well. It’s the only parenting advice I’ll ever need ❤️.

Lauren AscherAvital is amazing!Avital has completely changed my outlook on parenting and my relationship with my kids. She put words to the feeling I have suffered since my 4yo was born - burnout - and showed me how to break free of that depressing cycle. She has literally given me my joy back. I will be forever grateful for this podcast and all of Avital’s words of wisdom!!

Waverly2013Every parent needs to find this channelI knew I wanted to be a positive parent before my son was born, but I had no idea what that meant. Finding The Parenting Junkie was a godsend. Avital is the perfect guide to all things peaceful and positive. Listening to her newest episode is the highlight of my week.
-
VchediakQuadruple Threat !Avital is a triple threat! She can help you with self care, parent child relationships, parent to parent relationship and even sibling relationships! She really inspires me to want to do and be better in my day to day. To be more present and to show up for my family on so many levels!

MariG87The podcast every parent needsI came across Avital’s YouTube channel a few months ago and I was immediately hooked. I am a new parent in need of guidance on this new parenting journey and Avital is that guiding star for me. I am so grateful to have had discovered her and the parenting junkie community. The podcast is the perfect addition to all the beautiful content Avital creates. I listen to it on my way to work and even though I’ve listen to every episode so far I keep playing them again and again to keep the info fresh in my head and not to mention Avital’s voice is so soothing, puts me in a great mood to start my word day:)

RebeccaFaithMazzettaThis podcast speaks to my soulI absolutely love this podcast. For anyone who either has children or is considering having children in the future, this podcast is a must listen. There’s simply nothing like it in the podcast universe. It’s short, simple and has actionable tips that can literally change your parenting life. I’m subscribed to multiple podcasts but this podcast is the one that I’m most excited to listen to each week. Personally, many of the episodes are concepts I already adhere to, but not all of them. She introduces thought provoking topics that have helped me either feel validated in the choices I currently make or have challenged me to make changes to my current parenting style that have literally been a game changer for my household...even my husband loves this podcast and he and I use some of her advice to work together and become better parents (and a better couple). I’m so happy she has taken the time out of her busy life to provide such wonderful content (for free) to, in her words, her fellow imperfect but conscious parents. Thank you Avital!
-
Ashtyn M.Engaging and so helpful!I found The Parenting Junkie on youtube when I desperately needed some guidance on play and discipline. I’m subscribed to many parenting podcasts but I couldn’t find anything I quite resonated with involving play and discipline especially. I loved the youtube and instantly subscribed to the podcast and I’m hooked! It’s engaging, incredibly helpful, and I get good vibes anytime I listen too it!! Thank you so much for this podcast!!
-
vmsalinasGuided ParentingI first discovered Avital on YouTube and was so intrigued about her parenting ideology that she inspired me to take the peaceful parenting approach. I’d always knew i wanted to parent differently than the norm but wasn’t sure what or how. Thanks to Avital she’s helped me to find exactly what i was wanting as a mommy! So much great Information for ALL moms.
-
Sarah W VBJust what I neededI’m so glad to have discovered Avital and everything Parenting Junkie. I first found her through the podcast about consequences and have been loving the podcast and videos ever since. It was exactly what I needed for some challenges with my 3yo where I felt a little stuck. I love Avital’s unique and inclusive approach to lots of parenting philosophies that are out there today.
-
abbazabba1920Awesome!Great ideas! Great advice! This is exactly what I have been looking for. I can’t wait to dive into the videos. Thank you!

Mathmomof2Succeeds where other parenting podcasts failOf all the mindful/ respectful parenting “experts” out there, Avital is my favorite. I have listened to all the podcast episodes so far and have been watching her stuff in YouTube while I wait for more! So often it feels like respectful parenting advice is only for moms of one (maybe two) neurotypical children - it just doesn’t reflect my reality in any way. Avital gives so much space for doing what works for YOUR family, while still providing so much practical and mindful advice for that (sometimes messy) reality. I have 3 very young children, at least one of whom is not neurotypical. I have some significant challenges in parenting that cannot be solved simply through variations on self care and allowing feelings as other experts always seem to suggest, but when I listen to Avital I feel supported. She’s helps me break out from feeling like a victim of circumstances, and leaves me feeling empowered to make real, lasting changes. I love that she has 4 young kids, I really get the feeling she understands the challenges of my life in a way that others don’t. Thank you for this podcast!
-
LadymiichelleCherry on topI have just binge listened to 4 podcasts. I already watch every Youtube video but the podcast episodes are like the cherry on top of a beautiful, delectable sundae after a very stressful, busy, mindless day. I love the podcast because it really delves into a more personal matter. I feel the connection of listening to Avital’s personal experiences. Keep going!!
-
szisziboho❤️I have been listening to Avital’s videos for a little over a year. Her wisdom has completely changed my mindset. I am excited to learn and discover more about parenting, children, relationships and myself as a parent and a person. I love Avital’s personality and am grateful to have found her. Thank you! ❤️
