LKatA22Great Podcast for any Choir Director! This is truly a fantastic resource for any choir director, and specifically for school choral directors. I am currently listening to “Accessible is Beautiful” and already have the book ordered and on its way. It’s amazing that we can be on summer break from school, staying home and sipping our coffee while having a PD session tailored to our craft on our phones…everyone should take advantage and also contribute to this podcast if they are financially able.

SpadadioroThe Resource the Modern Choral Director NeedsThis podcast is my everyday way to become a better choral director. It is engaging, thoughtful, and inspiring to people who want to be the best versions of themselves in this important field of work.

Mu$ic2019Well worth the timeI ran across this podcast as I was struggling with being a first time Choral director. Huge impact on my outlook and rehearsal strategies. An incredibly important tool!!
-
SteveH9304Fantastic ResourceAnyone leading, singing or interested in choral music should make this a part of their regular podcast rotation. Topics range from the practical (e.g. vocal pedagogy, teaching sight reading) to the philosophical (choirs and diversity/equity, how we interact with our colleagues online and what we value in our ensembles). Both inspirational and helpful!

AshleysMommyThe missing pieceThis podcast was the piece I didn’t know I was missing as a choral director. It’s caused me to reevaluate every aspect of my job and create new definitions of excellence for myself and my students. I have benefited equally from the practical ideas and the philosophical ideas. I’m so grateful to have found someone willing to question everything and challenge our field to do better - with ideas from a wide range of “experts” on how to do just that.
-
mgootzRefreshingThis podcast is both inspiring and challenging. Chris doesn’t shy away from difficult conversations or topics to highlight both effective and ineffective mindsets and techniques in the choral profession overall. This podcast never fails to deliver a challenge to continue growing in our craft, and constantly encourages us to seek out ways to reflect and refine our teaching practices.

DKMystrohGreat podcast! This is an excellent podcast for anyone who has an interest in choral music. The guests and topics are current and relevant and the host, Chris Munce, is not only passionate about the topic, but an engaging interviewer. A much needed podcast for choral enthusiasts!

clayfordoGreat PerspectiveThank you so much for what you do for the choral world!

CfzanyThe best....howeverThe information in this podcast is top notch. I’ve learned so much and I appreciate the wide variety of topics. Ok, here is the only criticism. Would it be possible to improve the sound quality? It sounds like your in a tin can.
-
SamWhittimoreEpisode 28 Can Pitches be Perfect? My mind is blown is such a good way! It makes me want to learn more and really understand overtones. I especially appreciate the accessible ideas I can implement right away- and the idea of “rainbow ears” is revelatory! (Stay tuned to the end!)

mikemarquardtJust what I needed!Keep up the great work!

mewzicmanDon’t trust these reviewsThere were 25 star reviews before the podcast even was launched. That is fraudulent and reeks of dishonesty. I can't tell which is worse, the audio quality or the rampant ego. This guy Muncie is so full of it. He names his students in his podcast and shares personal stories about them, again a gross lack of a sense of self. Nobdy cares about what he has to say - so he makes his guest listen to his stories.
-
Link100I’m soldII’m sold. Chris Munce is articulate and communicates (as any music educator should) with clarity and soberness. He doesn’t claim to be an expert in any area he isn’t, he doesn’t shy away from the authority his experience has given him either. Completely relatable and a must for the choral educator! There is a 1 star review criticizing the podcast for dishonesty due to reviews prior to release. Though I recommend you listen before reviewing, take that as a sign that many love and support Munce in this effort, not that he is dishonest. I do not know Munce well and he probably wouldn’t recognize me, but I know his colleagues and a few of his students better and I sang in his collegiate ensemble its second year. He is loved by his students and his colleagues whom I’m acquainted with, is an example of professionalism, and this is definitely worth supporting.

ALaP826Thought provokingI have really enjoyed listening to this podcast. I think as quality music educators, it is vital to know what we are doing, and why we are doing it, to help our students really understand the what and the why. Chris does a really great job of bringing topics that help with that self-reflection.
