    Keeping my dream alive.
Due to my living situation I am unable to use it be anywhere near my bike (1985 BMW R80) a majority of the time. Working on that bike and riding it brought me so much joy, but for the foreseeable future I have to survive without it. Listening to this podcast when I’m working or driving long distances teaches me a lot, makes me laugh a lot, and reminds me of what it waiting for me when I can finally get some garage space. Zack and Spurgeon always discuss entertaining and enlightening topics all the while not taking themselves too seriously. 11/10, this podcast is one that I will unapologetically recommend to anyone who loves riding on two wheels.

    #1 favorite looking motorcycle
Update. I’ve finally went to Common Tread. Listening to the show makes me want to go buy another bike that’s not an HD. I’ve ridden sport bikes in the past and dirt bikes semi-annually on camping trips but listening to Spurg makes me want to trade my leathers for KLIM and go off roading frequently. But COMMON TREAD IS FULL OF HARLEY CONTENT. I was looking for a 4th bike to add to the Frey. I want speed, reliability, a good value, decent looks, premium components, sub 11K, decent displacement, MT07-9. PS MY T-shirt size is 2x🤣🤣🤣🤣 I’m a fan of air cooled big twins but the looks aren’t in the same category as Italian bikes. My taste are expensive but my wallet is on a Ramen diet. I have been enamored with the looks of the MV Agusta Brutale since it debuted and if I had 50K for a new it would be in a glass case while I ride my Harley Davidson

    Great podcast
Listening is like sitting around a fire with some really funny friends who know what they’re talking about. Well worth your time.

    Yeah it’s about time
I’ve been listening to these guys for a long time. Zack and sturgeon (hee hee)are great to listen to on my long drives. Probably the best of all the podcasts I listen to. Informative, knowledgeable and fun. Even the videos are top notch.

    Great 2 wheel camaraderie
I began my motorcycle journey at the age of 7 on a Honda trail 70, and motorcycles have been a constant part of my life ever since. Now at 53, with well over a million miles on 2 wheels, my passion for bikes remains strong. What has sadly diminished over time is the number of friends and riding buddies. Due to rasing families, moving to new areas, changing jobs, and other life priorities, many friendships have been lost. I miss the camaraderie and casual conversations with former riding buddies. Zack and Spurge, you may not realize it, but you help fill a void for some of us, and for that, I am very grateful. Thank you!

Definitely in my top two moto podcasts
First off thank you to everyone at highside lowside for the plethora of opinionated info personally I ride a 93 Vulcan 750 and wish there was someone who was more cruiser oriented but love the show regardless and can’t wait to see what’s in store for the show to come once again thanks for the great info and entertainment

Interesting podcast with a variety of topics
Spurg, Zack, Ari, Spenser, etc are all very involved with the motorcycle world and discuss a variety of interesting topics. I should say ‘apparently involved’. Their ‘Guess that Motorcycle’ segment where both Zack and Spurg guessed that a parallel twin was a single cylinder engine did shake my confidence in their experience. Perhaps I am being harsh, maybe the problem is with their ears..or between them. 😜 All joking aside, if you have even a passing interest in motorcycles, this is a great podcast. I sold my last motorcycle about two years ago, but this podcast has me researching a new purchase. And obviously, I will have to service the new bike with products from Motul!

    Awesome Podcast 🏍️
Just starting listening to you guys after starting my new job. It’s really helped me get through the day faster and keep me entertained. I currently have a 2021 Ninja 400 that I inherited from my dad after he passed at the beginning of this year. And my brother and I recently bought a Yamaha xsr 700. He already crashed the bike so maybe he will be rethinking the purchase. And speaking of that, how do I go about rebuilding forks? Anyways, I love the podcast and hope you guys keep up the great work. I’ve actually learned stuff from you guys and plan on to keep listening for the near future.

    More than motorcycles
I have to leave this comment just for the fathers’ day episode. It’s great to hear your stories between you and your old man. It made me think a lot about the relationship between my dad and myself. Now as a father of two little ones, I always pay attention to what should I do and how should I act. This heartfelt episode brings a lot good inspiration, and thank you gentlemen for doing this!

    Dad’s Take Over
Thank you. I appreciate the episode. Since losing my Dad a few years ago, Father’s Day gets emotional. My Dad rode a Honda Trail 90 while in the Seminary. He rode it to preach at various rural churches in the area. Fast forward 40 years. I bought a new motorcycle. My Dad and Mom were visiting me. He saw it in the garage and demanded to to take it for a ride. He held out his hand and said, “Give me the key!” Well, he made it back to my house after a very stressful wait on my part. He came to a stop in the the driveway and forgot to put his feet down. My Dad and the motorcycle hit the ground. Luckily, he and the motorcycle were okay. We agreed to never to tell my Mom. Thank you again for the rekindling the memory. Glenn Jennings Houston, Texas

    Starting from the beginning
I have listening the last year or so. I decided to go back and listen from the beginning. Thanks for not saying “Spurgie” or “Gasholes” any more.

    Informative, not to serious.
Love the show! Very informative and still very entertaining. I look forward to every episode and the engine sound game is killer!! If everyone has as much fun and it seems, I hope you all realize how lucky you are. If you need a 60 year old to help test bikes, equipment… whatever please reach out.

    Great podcast
Long time dirt rider just got my first road bike. Stumbled on the safety gear episode while shopping and I’m so glad I found this. Hosts are great, fun to listen to, and very informative. This show quickly became one of my go-to podcasts for the work week.

Harley guy becoming adventure touring curios
Found you guys accidentally and can’t stop listening. I enjoy hearing the friendly banter between you two. And listening to spurge talk about off-road riding convinced me to get my dr650 back on the road.

    Outstanding Podcast
Thank you for going on car rides and dog walks! I have owned several Harleys, but have always wanted a Triumph Bonneville, so I appreciate the Bonneville content. Keep up the great work. Some day I will accurately guess an engine sound.

    Not only airbags save lives….
I’ve never listened to a podcast. Ever. But through the course of a few brutal road-trips where music wasn’t cutting it to keep me awake, I found the incessant banter of these two shining examples of modern motorcycle journalists, and their truly delightful guests, to be far more mentally engaging. This, in turn, kept me awake on the road. The impact of the podcast far exceeds the ears that have heard. It may have saved lives. And now, as I await the misery of the first trimester to pass and my dear wife to feel better as baby #4 is firmly implanting itself in her uterus, the father and father to be who host this show take a little of the drudgery out of the increased load of household responsibilities I must embrace. Thank you for helping me to look forward to the lack of a dishwasher in my kitchen. Plus, I could use a new shirt. With a growing family, one must be frugal, a concept the esteemed Spenser Robert should appreciate, as the mere mention of his name almost guarantees me a fresh swag. But seriously, do you have kids sizes too? I’ll probably need another one for me as pregnant women love wearing their husbands shirts. Okay, maybe I’m pushing my luck. Love the show.

    Never gets old
Started listening to the pod about a year before i had my license - fast forward 3 years, 2 bikes, and a thousands of miles on the saddle and i'm still listening to you guys religiously. Started off not knowing 1/2 the words you guys were saying and it’s been awesome to start to understand what’s going on in your wild noggins and even getting a few engine sound guessing games correct 😎 Cheers gentlemen, thanks for a good time.

    Raising my riding buddy
My 13 year old son and I have been catching up on all the episodes for the last two years(on Spotify) While working on dirt bikes in my shop. We have 1993 honda xr100 (his first fundamentals bike) and just finished the engine on his Yamaha ttr 230 all while enjoying the enjoyable banter of the HSLS gents! Thanks for great memories with my son and motorcycle education. My son now thinks he needs a KTM when he gets his license but I’ll talk him into the best bike there is…a V-Strom😂 keep up the great podcasting gentlemen! See you in the black hills for adventure fest when my boy is old enough to ride with me (legally) it will be our first long trip together. Cheers!

Awesome Show! Very fun show to listen to.
I kinda avoided this show for a while because I figured it was just an add for Revzilla. Got bored one day and decided to give it a listen. Boy was I wrong. Super fun show to listen to. I usually learn something and am always entertained. Kinda like sitting around talking with your buddies over a beer or cup of coffee.

Love the podcast, really enjoy the content, conversations and ‘special’ guests. As a rider who’s recently come back to motorcycles after 14 years off, I’ve found it very entertaining and (gasp) even educational. Keep up the great work and the enthusiasm for motorbikes!

A Good Brain Break for Anxious Parents
My husband introduced me to this podcast on our frequent trips to Boston Children’s Hospital from NH. We were always anxious on these drives since we knew our baby girl would need surgery soon after being born. My husband suggested we listen to this podcast and I was not super thrilled to listen to dudes talk about bikes but I agreed since I love him. Pretty much from the moment he put it on, we were laughing at the commentary or trying to identify what bike makes that engine sound and having so much fun. It totally takes our minds off the unknown for a little while and we have a great time and I’ve even learned some pretty cool things! Thank you for the brain break and for entertaining two anxious parents. ❤️ PS - our baby girl had a very successful surgery and will most likely be going home today!

How much horsepower is too much horsepower?
I just discovered the podcast a couple months ago and I have been loving the conversations about different types of bikes and topics from the hosts and all the guests. A little background on me, I am the manager of a powersports salvage yard, and all of my co workers are in their early 20s and younger and all of them have been riding for maybe a combined total of 3 years or so. We are often having discussions about bikes and if they are good or not, to them horsepower and top speed determines if a bike is good, and I believe that you can have fun on anything with two wheels and a motor. Not sure if this is common across the board when talking to people about bikes or if that is just a common trend among younger riders. I am kind of an anomaly though. I am 27 years old (not old by any means) but I own an 86 shadow 1100 and an 81 Yamaha xv750. I would love to get a mid class sport bike to eventually have a different riding style to switch back and forth with. Anyway, thanks for having great conversations with each other that I don’t normally get at work. You guys have helped me learn a lot about bikes that we don’t normally see very often in the salvage yard.

One guest id like to hear on the show
I’ve listened to every single episode of the show, play it on YouTube in the background while in the garage. I’ve loved hearing Zach and spurg in their odd couple bantering. And I’ve thoroughly enjoyed the guests. That said I’ve been waiting for one person to sit down and chat with them, producer chase. The constant mentions to chase in episodes and his behind the scenes of the show I think would be interesting to hear his background on bikes and his relationships to motorcycles. Love the show and keep up the entertaining and educational-ish conversations.

Shiny side up, rubber down etc etc
As a longtime revzilla youtube enjoyer who’s been meaning to get around to listening to HS/LS, I am happy to find that it’s exactly what I’d hoped for. I think the thing I’ve always most appreciated is just how Real the revzilla team is. Whether it’s watching you guys trying to stay awake for 24 hours after riding through biblical flooding in India just looking for a place to sleep, or hearing Zack sing the praise of his dad’s battered old bmw on the roads around his hometown, it always feels like I’m right there with a couple of old friends. That feeling is what drew me in originally, with Zack and Ari’s shenanigans on CTXP, and I’m so glad to see it extends beyond just the guys who have known each other for their whole lives. Listening to 40 hours of podcasts a week while clattering around in a forklift makes for an awfully tough job, but I’m glad to have a little motorcycling in the work week beyond just saying a quick prayer before trying to start whatever clapped out old bike I’m commuting aboard that day. While I did consider leaving an absolutely glowing review alongside a one star rating as was called out in S8E01, I think you guys have earned all five of em.

    Got me through the Summer
I’ve been a listener for many years. Last Spring, on Easter, I was in a motorcycle accident after a truck pulled out in front of me. I broke my pelvis, and dislocated both of my hips. After a month in the hospital-rehab, I was forced to sit at home for 3 months. Listening to this podcast every other week was certainly a boost to my morale, and encouragement for me to get back on the proverbial horse after a year of not riding.

    An Inspiration to Adventure
I listen to Highside /Lowside to find inspiration for my two wheel adventures. As a former big cruiser guy I’m now out to prove my little Honda Adv150 can work as adventure bike. I take it off road and on camping trips. It works for me. Spurgeon and Zack cover a huge variety of riding topics that an experienced rider or a beginner can relate to. They’re encouraging and engaging. It makes me want to get out there and ride. Lastly Spurgeon has one terrific head of hair. It makes this bald guy jealous.

Great Podcast on the world motorcycles
I really appreciate Zack and Spurge having opposing views on certain bikes because it’s definitely giving you a different take from two styles of riders. I also enjoy and value the three other shows on Revzilla. The daily rider by Zack gives you a honest idea of what a bike is like to live with on a daily basis. Ari’s shop manual teaches you a lot of good basics on motorcycle maintenance that for new riders like me is invaluable. Also credit to Spurge on his honesty on gear reviews because he’s a bigger guy like myself and as you all well know it seems like most motorcycles and equipment are made for medium sized people in general. Thanks again guys keep the great content coming!

    Chassis and suspension over horsepower
Just finished listening to the episode on can you have too much horsepower? It brought up a very good point I agree with. I am 250lbs and currently riding a 2007 ninja 650. The power feels great, but I wish I could have a better suspension, brakes and chassis. What would be your recommendation for a more modern bike with under 100 hp?

    Best day of work
I am a luxury car technician and a lover of all music. I had a Bluetooth concern recently, and when the time came to test it, I paired my phone to the high end stereo system. What did I listen to on this lovely sounding radio you may ask? Classical? Jazz? EDM? No. I turned to my good friends at High Side Low Side, and felt fully immersed as if they were riding shotgun. One of the best days at work!

10/10 Smorts is it high is it love who will know?
I first started listening after watching Zack’s “Dailey rider” reviews and then listen to a few of the more recent episodes of 2024 (season 8) and fell in love with the banter between the two hosts (I’m dyslexic so I’m not going to attempt spelling the other hosts name.) Will say the motif ads are a blast to listen to, as I am a hobbit (5’2.5, don’t forget the .5, with a 29 in inseam ) I was curious what sport bikes or cruisers you’d recommend. Yours truly the hobbit of chaos, Jacob ps. This is the Number 1 motorcycle podcast aside from Live on two wheel with Chase, Patty Rick and Ghost. Much love to the revzilla and Highside low side crew

First time caller, long time listener
Love the banter and the way Zach and Spurg can make it feel like I’m hanging in the garage talking bikes with my friends. Really looking forward to the rest of this season as well. I’ve recently hit a deer while riding, fracturing my wrist and pelvis, and am going to need some motorcycle content to fill the gap in my soul that was left by that deer when it stole my KTM away from me. Can’t wait for the next episode and keep up the great work, you’re the only podcast I listen to.

Revzilla Engine Sound Guessing Game Podcast
The Revzilla Engine Sound Guessing Game Podcast is THE BEST podcast on Apple Podcasts. I wait with baited breath for the Engine Sound Guessing Game each week where I get to play along with our fantastic hosts Spurgeon Dunbarrrrr and Zach Courts. While there is some decent discussion bookending the Engine Sound Guessing Game, if you can suffer through the extraneous motorcycle industry musings, you will be setup for the greatest time off two wheels Apple Podcasts has to offer. Thanks for a great show and let us be clear, British triples are the best engine ever created. Keep up the good work and I look forward to the next round of the Revzilla Engine Sound Guessing Game.

    Ninja 500 turbos!
Wanted to say first of all thank you for adding some weekly excitement on my daily Chicago commute (Spurgeon’s dad is right, Vstroms are great for commuting and riding all the way to the Mississippi River)! Love the podcasts, ctxp, and daily commute videos. It was a true joy to hear the Peter Egan interview. Hearing him describe his stories and some background information from all the articles was so cool. My wife has bought me a leanings book each of the last three Christmas’, and I’ve been reading his articles in cycle world as a kid since the 90s. There truly is a great connection between guitars and motorcycles. Thank you all for producing such awesome content. P.S as a dad with a 6 month old I could use a new shirt without the spit up haha Cheers! John M

    What a show!
Revzilla is really turning into an entertainment company and I’m all here for it. This podcast is one of the best of productions from the Revzilla team and is close to perfect. I even love listening to the ads from Motul!

    Entertaining and Informative
Licensed a year since Sept 2023. I’m obsessed with motorcycles and have attended many riding classes (MSF, ChampSchool, BMW Riding Adventure, Jimmy Lewis, SoCal Supermoto) to satisfy my learning fix. I’ve been searching for a moto podcast and after listening to a few, HSLS is the best!! Its contents are satiating for this newbie. Keep up with the contents, I’m hooked!!

    Not able to leave reviews
I’ve been attempting to snag a tee with witty comments, but I mostly end up just gushing about how much I adore the show. My Apple podcast comment game is seriously lacking—I'll be utterly shocked if this one sticks! So although I’ve tried multiple times to comment I am hopelessly resigned to another failed attempt. Love what you all do!

    Brings Families together.
I have wanted a motorcycle since I was a kid, but my parents were against them. Now, as a father with a stable career, I have finally been able to purchase my first bike. I am a proud owner of a rebel 500 and I want to thank Rezvilla for all of your content which helped me pick that bike. The real reason for this glowing review is the joy you guys have brought to my kids. I have 3 kids under the age of 8 and every morning they aren’t reaching for cartoons, but “the guy with the beard and the motorcycles” (daily rider videos), and in the car we listen to you two and all have a laugh. Anyways thanks again, and if you are ever coming through San Luis Obispo, please let us know and we would be happy to bbq a TriTip for you.

    Feeling sad!
This season I have been very bad about listening to you podcast as soon as each episode comes out, I then try to find other podcasts that i like as much and it’s just disappointment after disappointment after disappointment lol!!!! In all seriousness that last episode with Peter Egan was phenomenal, can’t wait for the next episode.

    Peter Egan!!!!
Hi Zach and Spurge! I would like to thank you both for interviewing Peter. Like Spurge, I got a little choked up when I heard he was going to be a guest. I grew up reading his columns in Cycle World and it was great to hear/see him. I’ve been listening to you both for a while and I really enjoy the podcast. Keep up the great work! Ken

    Zack Quartz needs to go
Revzilla encompasses a diverse range of brands and caters to various customers, united by a shared passion for motorcycles. This shared enthusiasm draws people to Revzilla, Cycle Gear, and JP Cycles. Unfortunately, the podcast host’s thinly veiled disdain for American cruisers significantly undermines this spirit. His persistent, albeit clumsy, efforts to mask this aversion not only fail but are counterproductive. It is perhaps wiser to openly acknowledge this bias rather than feign neutrality. Indeed, removing him might restore the inclusive ethos vital to Revzilla’s identity. Moreover, his dismissive attitude toward emerging segments like the "King of the Baggers"—a series that injects new vitality into motorcycle racing—is perplexing and shortsighted. With flat track racing languishing and US road racing circuits floundering, denigrating innovations in the field is not only unsound; it reflects a profound misunderstanding of the current dynamics in motorcycle sports. Contrary to such narrow views, outlets like Cycle World recognize the precarious state of our hobby and lifestyle. They comprehend the importance of embracing rather than criticizing the motorcycles that lead sales in the U.S., understanding that such an approach is not just sensible but necessary for an American company. One would expect a similar level of insight and adaptability from a host representing a brand that claims to celebrate motorcycle culture in all its forms.

    Great entertaining bunch
For years I have listened to a lot of different podcasts ( political, how to, outdoors etc ) but have found this podcast and accompanying Utube channel my favorite. They are fun and I have learned alot. I am 55 and just took the MSF corse last fall. Bought me a Honda CB300R and have put 1000 or so miles on it. I took motorcycle drivers Ed in high school and don’t know why I never pursued it. I do ride 4 and 3 wheelers. I guess my biggest hurdle has been the wife. For the last two years or so I have been consuming a lot of motorcycle Content on the YouTube’s. She now watches episodes of “ Itchy Boots “ with me. I don’t know if you have done an episode of how to get your spouse onboard of you getting a bike, but seems like a topic a lot could relate too. Your team has great chemistry and the life long friends of Ari & Zach I admire and enjoy there content as well. Thank You Jared Denison Utah

    A new Dating App??
On the “Am I an A-Hole” Mr Garvin accidentally stumbled on a million dollar idea!!! He threw out the idea of a “cycle gear” dating app, but you should give that a second consideration! You already have an app, and maybe you found a way to finally make the Rev-It app relevant!

    Really not a bad show
It's really not a bad show! Like if you were thinking of listening to it, but then second guessed yourself because you thought, "I don't know, this looks like it might be a pretty bad show," I think it would find it's not so bad. Like, if you rated this show on a scale of 1 to zebras, it would at least be a komodo dragon, if not a full zebra. The worst thing you have to lose is time, which some argue is maybe your most precious resource? But also, we gotta like drive places, and fold laundry. What else are you gonna be doing? Learning calculus while driving? Gimme a break!

    Fantastic Podcast!
What a great podcast! I love these guys. They’ve been in the motorcycle industry for a long time and it shows. They really know their stuff and are very entertaining! And if that wasn’t good enough, the ads are relevant, funny, and voiced by Zach and Spurg. I can’t stand intrusive ads that break up the listening experience. Thank you Motul for being such a cool sponsor!
