VGa1234$No Politics pleaseGreat podcast being ruined by insertion of politics. Completely unnecessary and unfortunate! Hope the hosts take note.

Rdswinford⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️Great topic. But 24-hr turnaround with MACHEON labs and University of Cincinnati. DOn’t wait two weeks. But even if negative 30-40% still can have genetic contribution. What to do with long term treatment seems to depend if mutations are seen in fH,fB,MCP,fI.

Impact FactorAmazingI listen to every podcast - great balance of methods, renal phys, and jokes

AnotherListener3Interesting Idea...I don't like journal clubs. So the idea of listening to one voluntarily does not come naturally. A member of my nephrology group recommended Freely Filtered so I have given it a try. I don't like the jolly repartee. I am looking for information about specific clinical problems that arise in Nephrology and how the experts handle them. I really like UpToDate. I don't need extraneous/off topic comments. A case presentation might be nice followed by a concise discussion. I have never been good at understanding statistical methods so pointing out the strengths and weakness of statistical methods in plain language would be welcome. I don't like people jumping in all the time. One person should discuss the topic without interruption by others. Then the other panel members can take a turn with the topic. Maybe there should be a moderator that organizes the other participants and then summarizes everyone's comments and maybe adds their own. I thank the participants for taking time to produce this podcast. Y'all are smart and nice people. I guess I just don't like the format. I might listen more if the the podcasts were more organized.

drjmac5Perfect Keeping up with Relevant Clinical NephrologyI’m a nephrologist in private practice. I have very little free time but do the best I can like most doctors to keep up with journal articles as they come out. This podcast brings to the forefront groundbreaking nephrology clinical research and presents that information in a manner that is easily accessible especially on a commute to work. The regular hosts are entertaining and brilliant. The information is enlightening. The experts chosen as guests are absolutely top shelf. I cannot recommend this enough to colleagues in the field and to general practitioners. I am grateful this podcast exists.

DocV80Great podcast!Simply THE BEST! As a full time community nephrologist and mom to two active boys, I’ve always felt the lack of a place to go to get up to date information on all things kidney! I listen to freely filtered every morning now while I walk. This has been life changing for me. Thank you, smart nephrons!

FutureNephFellowCaptivated by the kidneysThis podcast is simply the best! Started listening as a medical student and haven’t missed an episode in residency. I learn so much with every episode and love sharing my new knowledge on the wards! Thank you for your brilliant Nephrology pearls, thorough review of the literature, and humor. I only wish the episodes were more frequent! Thanks for inspiring this (hopefully) future Nephrologist.

Peter KeddisGreat podcastI'm an internal medicine pharmacist in North Carolina. I'm not exaggerating when I say this is my favorite medical podcast to listen to. I appreciate the thorough review of recent clinical trials and the many clinical pearls you provide. But most important! I love the humor that you add to the podcast. Thanks you and don't stop producing!!

SjjjjpeeeplRenal PodcastBy far my favorite renal podcast. The filtrate does an excellent job examining renal articles with important implications regarding renal disease. Renal medicine is an advancing field and this renal podcast helps me stay abreast of renal advancements. I highly recommend this renal podcast to all renal specialists. Renal.

cwgillihanBest Renal Podcast AroundHi, my name is Matthew “The Renin (pronounced like the bird, wren-in) Man” Sparks, and all I have to say is that the renals rule. That’s right. I said renals. You know, those two organs situated halfway down your back? Some say they produce urine, but we all know what they really produce is homeostasis. Anyways, those are your renals. And listen: renal disease is bad. I conduct renal research to help prevent renal disease, and I read renal journals to learn from my colleagues how we can keep the renals healthy. I contribute to this renal podcast here to spread the renal gospel, and I hope you all are learning from this wee filtrate. I also invite you all to join us on Renal, I mean Neph, JC on Twitter at #NephJC twice monthly. Hey, in all honesty, I love what y’all are doing. You’re leading the way - every medical specialty should take note and strive to create the same sort of online learning community. And @nephro_sparks, don’t worry - I’m spreading the kidney gospel at my residency program in NYC. It’s actually End Stage Kidney Disease and REE-nin.

JRMontfordExcellent Nephrology in a Podcast wrapperTimely topics, great hosts - it’s a win for medical education targeted at Medical Students, Residents, Fellows and beyond. Enjoy the morning w a caffeine jolt of superb Renalism!
-
Bill AGThank you! This is a great service for those of us who don’t have access to regular academic discussions or Nephrology (AKA RENAL) grand rounds.
-
redtomato909One of the best medical podcasts out thereFreely Filtered is truely one of the best medical podcasts currently out there. I often re-use talking points on Freely Filtered to impress medicine attendings on rounds. Some of the information even helped me on a shelf exam. My only criticism is that these podcasts don't come out often enough!

Geradspodcast i didn’t realize was missing from my life...great way to stay up to date on all things kidney. hosts are delightful and incredibly knowledgeable. I turned this on to put myself to sleep one night but they managed to keep me awake and wanting more so I had to switch to a lesser podcast. will definitely be a regular part of my rotation. thank you!!! Gerald @ GrepMed

brifkinIt’s GFReatAs a community nephrologist for the past fifteen years I have missed these type of discussions. I will definitely use this resource as a springboard when teaching medical students and residents.

Kushal V.Nephrology isn’t intimidating anymoreHighly recommended podcast for all healthcare professionals. Great crew who clearly love teaching in fun and accessible manner. Time well spent.

LNG8894Making nephrology exciting and entertainingThank you for these podcasts. They make nephrology entertaining and exciting and help keep us abreast of the literature.
-
nephrolEven better than the ‘real’ NephJCI’m gonna be honest. If you asked me about the original Twitter #NephJC, I’d say that I liked the idea better than the actual thing. Trying to participate (or even follow the good points) was always chaotic. For those like me, this is an incredible improvement - it allows us to listen to the journal club in a linear way, without missing important points or getting distracted by side discussions. Strong work. Highly recommended.
