Este podcast hace los dos - es fácil entenderlo pero al mismo tiempo se trata de temas interesantes y relevantes para mi. Me gusta mucho y me ha ayudado mejorar mi comprensión y vocabulario!

I’ve been studying Spanish off and on for many years, and Cesar’s podcast motivates me to practice every day. He conveys warmth and kindness in his voice, and explains advanced vocabulary in simple terms so you don’t have to use a translator. The transcripts are easy to access and provide excellent reading practice. I recently enrolled in his online course and highly recommend it, too!

This is a great podcast for students with interesting topics. Caesar discusses many different types of topics and always shares his perspective, which keeps things interesting. I appreciate the wide variety and interesting subjects covered in this podcast. Production value is high and it makes it easy to listen to many episodes in a row!

The title sums it up. Latest example, while he recently moved back to Valencia, which then was hit by unheard of devastation, he entirely ignores that issue, missing the opportunity of relating his personal experience in lieu of boring us with the 10th time talking about supposed mental blocks in language learning. Otherwise decent production value with clear Spanish, just often quite boring content.

This is a great podcast to listen to, if you’re looking for a way to improve your listening and oral comprehension skills. The stories and subjects are usually very interesting and I’ve learned a lot about Spanish history in a fun way! I love the host’s voice and accent. He’s easy to understand and very soothing.

This is a great podcast for learning Spanish. I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 only because I think Español Con Juan is slightly better. But I listen to both, and they are really helping me learn! Such a great resource. I wish I had found it earlier!

Excellent way to improve your Spanish while learning about many interesting subjects.

I am an English as a Second Language Teacher and very familiar with language learning. This podcast is engaging, interesting and has the perfect mix of grammar in context along with relevant themes. The Intermediate Spanish course as well as the Advanced course are equally as engaging and the curriculum is well thought out and very accessible for students. The course and podcast weave cultural elements along with stories that help students remember grammar points. Excellent

The intermediate level is perfect for my level, not too fast, not too slow, and always engaging. I love the option to read the transcript to consolidate phrases that were new to me

I discovered this podcast a few months ago, and it has become my constant companion. Every day I listen to Cesar on my way home from work. What I love about this podcast is that, while I initially began listening to it to improve my Spanish comprehension, I realize now that I would continue listening to it, even if it were in English. Cesar chooses engaging topics and explains them in a thoughtful way. I’m deeply impressed with the research that clearly goes into each episode. I have devoured all of the advanced episodes, and I’m now making my way through the intermediate ones. I look forward to continuing in this delightful journey which Cesar. This is a great podcast. Very interesting stories and the Spanish pronunciation is super super clear. It is a huge plus that things are explained in English as well, so when things are “pushed” to higher level, a clear translation and explanation makes it all super clear. Love it!

This is so poetic yet clear. It's different to hear stories from the Coach's life. It keeps me listening more intently.

I have been listening to this podcast for months now. I am studying Spanish without formal training or classes and the area I have found the most difficult is the listening comprehension. This podcast is a huge help for that. I subscribed to News In Slow Spanish for awhile, but eventually I needed something that is closer to the speed and cadence of actual Spanish conservation. I find Cesar to be engaging, funny and thought-provoking so that keeps me engaged and listening. Highly-recommend for intermediate listeners.

I listen to one podcast each day while I’m out on my walk. Cesar is such a good instructor. His podcasts are well researched, thoughtful , and enjoyable to listen to. Not only do I learn Spanish, I also learn about a variety of topics he discusses. It’s perfect for an intermediate learner, and I feel like my vocabulary has definitely increased by listening.

I love it! I start every day with this podcast. It feels like I’m sitting in a cafe absorbing the language through immersion.

Topics are very effectively and thoughtfully presented. I’ve found it to be helpful practice. Cesar: I have a lot of sympathy for your life in the uk test experience. Years ago, when I went through the process, it was notoriously difficult with detailed trivia. My wife and I massively over prepared and then happened to get very easy questions. We were done in 3 minutes and got 100, but could easily imagine getting a random set of different questions that would have been very hard.

This is one of the three podcasts that form the core of my daily Spanish learning. And, it’s the only one of the three that provides the transcripts gratis. The main focus of my Spanish learning is Latin American Spanish. But, I find this podcast so useful that I include it as one of my main resources.

This podcast has been in my weekly rotation for over 2 years because it is just that good. Not only is Cesar an excellent teacher and a generous soul (free transcripts and flashcards!), but he is a role model for thoughtful, honest discourse on a wide range of topics. So not only does the podcast help me with my Spanish listening comprehension and vocabulary, but it also prompts me to reflect on the topics that Cesar covers. I have also participated in Cesar’s Español Ágil course, and I can say that his ability to explain grammar is phenomenal (yes, even and especially the subjunctive). Joel offers several levels and programs; there’s something for everyone. He himself speaks slowly and clearly and gets things off nicely. His guests then pick up with Spanish spoken more casually and at a more-normal conversational pace. The audio quality is excellent, which is something that really helps when you are listening to every syllable. Joel’s offerings really stand out among the many Youtube channels and podcasts out there for all of us who want to learn. Gracias, maestro.

I'm listening to every episode for the second time through. It's interesting and a great level for those who can understand a good amount of Spanish but can't quite keep up with fluent speakers.

I am so happy that I found this podcast! Cesar talks about very interesting topics and I never get bored. The level of Spanish is perfect. It’s challenging enough that I have to look up words and learn new phrases, but not so difficult that I can’t understand the main point. the online flashcards are really helpful to do and then listen a second time afterward.

I am preparing to move to Madrid next year for work and have been listening to this podcast every day. I minored in Spanish in college so I have a pretty good foundation, but I graduated 6 years ago so I needed something to help jog my memory. I’ve been amazed at how much this has helped! It’s been 2 weeks and I already feel like I’m close to the skill level I had in college. In addition to this podcast, I’ve also been using the SpanishDictionary.com app and watching Casa de Papel on Netflix, all of which have been strengthening my skills. I definitely recommend this podcast if you want to work on your Spanish and get closer to conversational / fluent. I’ve tried a bunch of other Spanish podcasts and this is by far my favorite. It is a wonderful package as well and Cesar explains things in ways that help me finally understand certain difficult topics I’ve worked on for years.

This podcast really helped with my Spanish comprehension and guided me from ‘low intermediate’ to ‘high intermediate’ which is a very important step. Cesar discusses interesting topics and has a great perspective which makes listening enjoyable.
