    Just Wow!
I was sucked into this podcast after hearing the ads for weeks. I turn on episode 1 and I’m immediately invested. Not because of the familial relationship of the victim but because Delia did an amazing job of investigating and researching case files, meeting with the key people at play for great interviews, editing is great too! Bittersweet story. RIP Nathaniel Jones, I pray you get true JUSTICE!

    Expert Investigating
I’ve always enjoyed listening to Delia. She genuinely cares about getting to the truth. However, the most recent series took her investing to a whole other level. The quality and care she has taken to reveal the true story was incredible. I believe if she chose to, she could uncover who actually committed this crime.

    Season 7
Well researched, with complex issues / timelines explained really clearly, host is transparent as her own research/thought process progresses. Looking forward to follow up as court case proceeds — and will be going back to listen to previous seasons.

    Gone downhill
Seasons 1-3 were fantastic. Everything since has been pretty terrible.

    Delia is the best
I wouldn’t consider myself a true crime podcast, junkie or anything, but I have tried to listen to other ones after being an avid fan of Delia and I cannot get through any episodes. The eloquence Delia puts into her episodes is unmatched. Season 7 is heartbreaking especially the bonus episode. If your a mom it will bring you to tears. I’m so invested and anxiously waiting more updates!

    Used to love it
I enjoyed the first two seasons and love Delia’s thoroughness and narration. But lately the seasons have felt forced and I find myself forcing to finish. Maybe each season doesn’t need so many detailed episodes to complete the story.

    Best investigative podcast!
The caliber of this podcast is so high for the true crime genre—Amazing job to Delia and her team! So thorough and respectful and honest. I hope your work helps solve and resolve these mysterious crimes that deserve true justice.

    Love this podcast.
Delia and her investigative skills deserve an award. Especially season 7, which the bonus episode brought me to tears. I’ve listened to every season and it truly just keeps getting better!

    Season 7 award worthy
I love this podcast, every season gets better and better. Season 7 is phenomenal and deserves an award for investigative journalism.

    Awesome Investigating!
If you love a true crime pod that talks about the case & not mostly banter between two ppl who are woefully ignorant about laws, customs & theories during a timeframe or region, this is for you! She clearly did & understands her homework & relays HER own research, not reading other people’s work.

First few seasons were the best
I really enjoyed season 1 and 2 but I’m finding it harder and harder to follow along with the newer seasons. I couldn’t even make it through episode 1 of season 7. I appreciate the first account interviews but I think they are possibly distracting me from the story telling.

    Love this podcast
Delia, you’re an awesome reporter. I love the detail and the careful way you protect the dignity of your stories and the people you speak about.

    Really good, but please…
This is amazing and some of the best in true crime podcast. The only thing I would say is please stop saying “but you know me” or use “I” so much every episode… we know it’s you and your awesome so you don’t have to sell it
  • Honeyloumelon
    Avid listener
I have loved listening to the first six seasons of CounterClock. I chose this podcast because of the ‘clean’ rating. I appreciate hearing the stories without the language. It was disappointing to hear foul language in episode 3. I hope this was just a missed edit and not an indication of a change in the program’s rating.

    Amazing Storytelling!
Deliha has an amazing ability to tell a story and place you right in the middle of it all! More than highly recommend! You won’t regret a second. Not to mention the great causes/stories that need the exposure. I hate when it ends and I need to wait for the next season.

Well I love detail and twists n turns… that being said my god these are hard to follow stories. There are ten episodes and in the second I’ve got to do homework and catch up just to know what’s going on. I started with season 7 and want to go back now to give it a fair shot. I can’t even tell who or what this season is about it’s just all the things. Drugs? I don’t know lol.
  • Am I addicted or annoyed?
Not up to your usual standard
I'm a big audiochuck fan, but disappointed with the quality story of this season. I've faithfully listened to every season of CC. This is my least favorite of all of them.
  • dluh
    Sounds like a parody
The self-important tone, the case being “blown open” in the next episode (fr u guys), disingenuously claiming they’re “doing this for the victims”, it’s cliches all around.
  • MaineAh207
    Nothing entertaining here
This podcast chops up every detail into 20 or minute clips - 14, 18, 20 "episodes," each, prolonged by interspersed ads. I'm fine with ads, but not with so many crammed into an 18 minute segment or, episodes as the makers have the temerity to label them as. NEXT!
  • hcfijbdf
    Love audio chuck !
Delia I love you ! Your investigation and reporting is impeccable. I love getting all the different sides of the story from so many people that knew the victim when they were still alive. The many perspectives is a total game changer!!

    Bias Misleading and Partially Reported
This may have been the most bias and pathetic reporting ever.
  • Lei.er.Kake
    Voyeurism?
Recently learned that not a single case has been solved or a single person exonerated as a result of this investigative work. The hosts entitled pursuit of information from civilians is off-putting, and, I suspect, emboldened by their family ties to law enforcement. While the work is beneficial, the hosts arrogance and entitlement in seeking information leaves me feeling gross.

    Argghh!!!
I can only listen to one episode a day, because this story is making me so angry!

    FABULOUS Podcast Series
I love this series so much. Every season has been so good. I can’t wait for more. If I could have given the show 10 stars, I would have.

    Just…
Love Delia and her content!! Done w the frequent advert of Ashley’s about the number one podcast and her team of journalists, which has an arrogant or boastful air about it..or maybe it’s just played way too often…

Bad writing, bad subjects to base a story on, good stories and good quality
The writing - she is extremely ham-handed, ends sentences with dangling participles, and mixes up when to use she and her or he and him. Season 7 - I just can’t figure out how to get my head around what happened here. She keeps calling the suspects low IQ, but they’re on the low side of average at the worst according to her own reporting. Everything in this case is just a contradiction. Still in progress though. Season 1 - the follow-up episode explained that she was given the coroner’s full report anonymously and her entire understanding of how the murder happened. It wasn’t a woman setting the fires apparently, instead some other guy. Season 2 - ok, the man had a warrant for his arrest and supplied people with crack. He was convicted of murder and only did 17 years. He probably did the correct amount of time for his other crimes so I don’t feel bad for him at all. A lot of her content seems to just be rumors because apparently all of the key people were so drunk and high over the years they are either dead or just can’t remember.

The host has such an obvious opinion and bias to this murder and it was hard to keep listening to based on this.

    Amazing Podcast!!!!!!!
This podcast is amazing and I am giving it a 5 star rating and hope you do too. Also I have an obsession for a podcast called crime junkie it is amazing and that podcast is the podcast that recommended counter clock.

    Excellent Journalism
Delia is an incredible journalist. Love this podcast and anything else she does!

plain wrong on the law, biased, misleading the audience
It’s an interesting story but the host’s explanation of the law is often incorrect and misleading. I recommend listing to the Prosecutors podcast for better true crime content.

    Impatient Me!
I tried my darndest to wait until all episodes of season 7 were out, to avoid waiting a week for the next ones. I cracked! Guilty me…. Started listening and can’t put this season down… Delia is best crime solver ever!!! You put the ‘legal eagles’ to shame
  • Real Fuzz
    Riveting!
I lived in Winston Salem at the time this happened and had no idea what was going on with the police and the suspects. I am so sorry for the man who died and his family. I am also sorry for the accused and their families. Another review said the interview recordings were hard to understand. I understood them, probably because I grew up in the South. I hope scientific developments will make false accusations impossible one day.

    Delia is Amazing!
    The best podcast ever!

    Well done/Feedback
Please be precise when discussing “the law” rather than assuming. What you stated was incorrect. Additionally, yes we know you! No need to keep saying “you know me” it clogs up the flow and it has become rote and awkward. Love you!

    Outstanding
Love this podcast, I was hooked from episode one. Delia gets into the details and explains things to the everyday person! I wait anxiously for the next episodes and can hardly contain myself! Keep digging and thanks for all you do!!
  • Pumpkin1021
    Why give her a platform??
She kept saying they lied, they knew they lied. the cops lies did not put those innocent boys in jail for their formative years. SHE DID! This is disgusting, listening to her whine about how she was tricked by the police, she waited until these men were almost all out, after serving their whole sentences… she should have to go to jail now, and serve their sentences plus one for lying. She ruined their lives, and a real murderer has walked free all this time! She’s evil. Jessica is evil.

    1st Impressions.
@ Ep.1. The recordings are rough. Difficult to hear. I hope they aren’t used too heavily moving forward. 3 Stars because of this. All the way up to Ep.4, terrible interview recordings. I can’t understand key things being said. It’s painful. S7, had to skip for same reason. Ten long episodes of what? Rewind. Replay. What? I’m parking this podcast for a while. :-(. Second time I had to take a break.
  • Cadennme
    Season 7 - Wow
Season 7 is another outstanding season! The storyline gripped me by mid-episode 1, I could quickly visualize who the victim was & feel outrage over what happened to him. This can only be accomplished when great storytelling is taking place.

    The Absolute Best
This is hands down the best podcast. Delia’s investigative work and delivery are top notch. I know it takes time to be thorough and I wait with anticipation. I can’t imagine the horror of the families involved and then add to that the fact that they must feel forgotten. Kudos to you for giving a voice to all involved. 🙌
  • Jungosmash
    Great stories, well told.
I’ve (binge) listened to seasons 1-6 so far. I appreciate the care with which the stories are told; yet are still made to be interesting. I thought cases 1-5 were crazy, but season 6 really threw we for a loop. Great job on that investigation. I really hope those people get caught.

The only audio check I’ll listen to on occasion
Call me a snob but I like reporting from reporters and noncorrupt prosecutions (anatomy of a murder)
  • The Voice Fry….
    Great podcast
The voice-fry is not professional or pleasant to listen to.

    No full season release anymore?
I love this podcast, been listening since the beginning. I really liked when the entire season was released at once, are you not doing that anymore? Super disappointed. Edit: I see the episodes are behind a paywall. Now I'm even more disappointed. Booooooo. 👎👎👎
  • Sarajes16
    Amazing
I have listened to many true crime podcasts and never felt compelled to rate them. This podcast is amazing and I am hooked. The only complaint I have is that eventually I will be all caught up on the seasons and still want more. Great job. Highly recommend!

    Love
Counter clock was my first investigative podcast and so far I have not been able to find another like it. I blew through all 6 seasons with in probably a month. I love how each season is about one case so you DIVE DEEP in the details. It thorough and feels more than just “entertainment” but rather given more for the families of these sad losses to have a chance of closure. Thank you
