The flow of the discussion sounds like a bad tick tok video, without video… good content, but very annoying recording style, seizure inducing.

I have been a listener for the last two years and went back and caught up on the episodes before I started listening. I have coached my boys in several sports throughout the years and Coach Bo gets it. He understands the importance of kids having fun in sports. A great way for them to have fun is to be competitive. I make my practices centered around competition and the kids moving from drill to drill. I also make my practices harder than games and limit the amount of coaching in games so they can focus and have fun. My kids have a love for sports and I believe this podcast has helped influence that. There are also a lot of leadership lessons that I use when leading my crew at the fire department. This podcast is full of useful information for any parent or coach. Thank you Coach Bo.

As a coach and high school teacher I keep being reminded that kids are not just little adults. I have learned from Coach Bo how to think and teach age appropriate. The success rate is greater. Their love of the game grows!! This is not a one-trick pony approach. Baseball, like life, is nuanced and always ALWAYS being prepared creates success. Coach Bo had a winning strategy that I works; more than just W-L stats but kids win in their love of the game. Coaches win because the joy of a sport well played.

Great content for youth coaches and parents. Can get a bit repetitive if you are binging on the large back catalog, but nothing that’s too bothersome. Although focused to baseball, most of the content would be applicable to other youth coaches as well.

Coach Bo is on point with his baseball wisdom, each week providing helpful nuggets of information to help coaches, players, and parents better understand and breakdown the game and all of its life lessons. I have found his message to be both inspiring and motivational, and there is no doubt this podcast has help me become a better coach and parent. I love how he pulls from various sources, giving others credit, and adding his own creative spin to make it relatable to youth baseball. A good example of this was his rendition of the seven habits of highly effective baseball players. I’ve had long road trips and binged 8 hours of straight content and the entire time I felt engaged and like I had a front row seat to his masterclass. 200 episodes in and I still get excited to listen to new content. Every little league across the country should have the 80/20 podcast as a go-to-reference in their library. Keep up the great work!

Really picks up after episode 50. I’m about 100 episodes deep and had to add another star. Bo repeats himself a little more than I like but it’s not intolerable. Keep up the good work.

I’m not a coach, but am a mom of a 9 year old baseball player. I was in search of something I could listen to help him with mindset/mental toughness. Also something that he could listen to from time to time. He gets a lot of directives about the technical side of baseball, but not too much on the mental side. Hoping to improve that and this is a great tool. I can’t quit listening to these and have gained a better understanding of the game and found ways to be more supportive while my son plays!

I’ve been a head coach on every level from college down to T-ball over the last 37 years. I have enjoy listening as it helps refresh or simply state something a little differently from how I have said it in the past. I believe you cannot continue using the same vocabulary year after year for ever or you risk some players missing the point: 2+2=4 so does two plus two….

If you are a youth coach this podcast is a must listen! I coached 7U and 10U baseball this last summer/fall. I felt like there was more out there to make baseball better for the kids. I ran practices like I had practices when I was young. Ok ground balls, ok fly balls, ok cutoffs, ok lackadaisical batting practice. That is so boring for the kids to run it the way it has always been run. Coach Bo does a great job of giving new ideas and really inspiring you to be better. He also focuses on why we play sports and it isn’t so we can get a scholarship. I found the podcast when he had put out roughly #90. Then I started from #1 and have worked my way through. I would highly recommend it and take some notes. There are so many good nuggets!
