    Jim Gaffigan?
How could you not love Jim Gaffigan and a couple other guys talk about woodworking? Great pod
  • Just hoping to get by
Totally not an attack on Dan.
After listening to the professional woodworking podcasts I stumbled across this one whilst pooing at work. Given the name I thought how original I won’t have any high expectations from it. They have something called the meh army which is fitting to the show. They don’t sound like giggling school girls but more like lost boys waking aimlessly thru life. I was hoping Pete and Dan where like Batman & Robin or Sinatra and Dean Martin but instead more like Bevis and Butthead. Dan is Tim Taylor to Pete’s Al Borland, I’m just waiting for Pete to say “ I don't think so Dan.” When they play the What’s on my bench jingle the high pitch scream from Dan sounds like he pinched the twins or Fran Drescher’s annoying voice from the 90s show the Nanny. The decibel range is so high from the jingle it makes the birds fall out of the sky and my dog start to howl uncontrollably to the point where he’s kicking the high quality Home Depot pine projects I’ve built. I called in on one episode and Pete said it gets better. ( I’m still waiting for it to get better) I’m taking the jingle and making it my morning alarm sound so I get up on time just to stop the torture of Mr Dunlaps voice. Great podcast to listen to when all hope is lost. Would definitely recommend 5 out of 5 stars. Love you guys keep it up.

    A Celebration in Meh-Diocrity
This is the okayest podcast that I currently listen to. It’s way better than listening to the sound of my shop-vac and random-orbital sander. If you are all caught up on your other podcasts, give it a whirl. You won’t be disappointed, but if you are, just try lowering your expectations and you’ll be hooked. 10/10 would recommend.

The most fun woodworking show around!
Mike, Dan and Pete have amazing chemistry. They provide honest and smart insights to the craft and business of woodworking. Mike, Dan and Pete have not requested reviews that make sense, and wonder why their podcast doesn’t grow more...in that vein… Usually I find all of my life hacks on TikTok, but AWP has taught me how to fold fitted sheets, change a diaper, use chatGPT, fix a flat, get a date with a tree, fool my boss about how much work I do remotely, get poor quick, lose 5 lbs and gain it back with interest, be a better parent, and both love and hate Workbench Con. Thanks AWP, you’re the TikTok of the woodworking world!!!

Don’t know what’s wrong with these people
Listening and was liking it so I was inspired to send in a question. They admitted to deleting the question during the show and then proceeded to trash talk my email. Not cool guys.

    Love this podcast!
Probably my favorite podcast right now. They are so energetic, just so full of ideas and great advice. Very funny too, if you like woodworking humor. Lol. I listen to this all day while I’m in the shop or on site. Makes my day go by so much better. Can’t wait to see them at workbenchcon. They convinced me to go! They have definitely brought back some of the excitement I was loosing for my woodworking.

    Love you long time
Marc, Matt and Shannon are great and have extensive industry knowledge.

    One word: adequate
AWP is the best woodworking/workshop podcast I have found, bar none. Have I listened to any others? No. Dan, Pete, and Mike discuss interesting topics in a fun format that makes sanding time in the shop way more tolerable. Give them a listen, you most likely won’t be disappointed!

    Suffer from IBS no longer.
I would dread spending hours on the toilet suffering from IBS but then I found another woodshop podcast and now I don’t have to avoid the best pizza from Caseys and the inevitable IBS flair up. Hours on the toilet seem like minutes when listening to Dan, Mike and Pete. Now I can enjoy my time on the toilet….thanks guys.

Another Woodcast Podshop cured my dyslexia!
After years of not being able to watch foreign films with my wife because I couldn’t read the closed captioning fast enough, Pete’s weekly “Polish Dyslexia Therapy” segments on AWP finally got me reeding and righting like a chimp! Thanks Another Woodcast Podshop! -Ryan from Missippissi

Just three dudes talking about wood
Sit down and buckle up for a podcast that will put you in a glass box of emotion. They will take you on a journey for an hour to 2 hours a week with these three guys that have a bromance that rivals that of JD and Turk from scrubs. They answer the questions that have challenged even the greatest of woodworkers. They are the Lewis, Clark and Sacajawea (the IT guy) of woodworking podcasts. Besides hanging out together and watching hallmark Christmas movies, and critiquing hgtv shows, they like to share pure knowledge with the world about wood, business, math problems(they have a math guy) and other topics that will enlighten. After each episode you will either go scissor kick the night away listening to Nickleback like Dan. Go have a glass of the finest Scotch in a room built with Walnut, or join Pete working on getting his Rogue Gnome to level 69.

It’s like Cheers had an open bar and microphone
I thought I was lost in a world of podcasts until I found my new home at AWP. I was transported to a fantasy world of Woodshop magic with an amazing cast of characters. We have the Bow Tie King - Daniel Dunlap. The man with caffeine running through his names Mike Coffey and the man from a 3D printed dimension Mystic Pete-za. I came to learn about shop stuff an instead I found like minded people. Who knew there were other fans of Tilters out there. There’s just something about a person with a 15 degree tilt that really does it for these guys and i’m here for it. Sometimes the conversation goes off the rails, but when you’re already three sheets to the WEN it doesn’t matter how you got to Margaritaville just pull up a seat at the bar and enjoy the show.

    AWP is simply the best!!!
One night I left the AWP pod playing in my truck. Imagine my delight when I woke up that morning to find my truck had driven to the liquor store picked up a handle of whiskey, some white powder substance in small baggie, and 2 strippers. The strippers were dudes so that was awkward but the free whiskey was cool. That shop day was the most energetic shop day ever filled with some really high highs and really low lows. Thanks AWP…. I think?!

    Meh Review
With looks that would make Ray Charles blush and voices that would make Helen Keller sing, this podcast is so good it could knock stink off a skunk. So go cut some red oak, take a deep breath of that lovely Coffey perfume, tie on that DDWW bow tie, and kick back to some polish mischief.

Brought to you partially by Casey’s General Store
As I walked out of my local Casey's with two slices of the heavenly goodness that can only be known as Casey's Pizza, I stopped dead in my tracks. What I heard blaring from the car in front of me can only be described as a combination of Fergie and Jesus singing Black Betty! The sweet tones of that sultry cheese curd infused voice were so overwhelming that I almost dropped my slices. I ran to the car and asked, who and what is this gift that has blessed my ears? The driver told me it was the one and only Dan Dunlap on AWP! I immediately rushed to my car and after devouring my pizza I began listening to AWP! All I can say is wow, this really has changed my life! I have repented and turned away from all my rustic farm house builds and now exclusively make bow ties and Murphy doors! "WWDDD" What would Daniel Dunlap do? If it wasn't for AWP I might have never known the true greatness that this world has to offer! Thanks Dirty Dan and the boys at AWP for giving me hope in humanity again!

Is Meh just Meh or is it really MEH
I’ll tell you my story about how I contracted AWP. I was sitting at home one day in mid 2000 thinking if there was only some sort of sickness that would effect the world globally, raise prices of lumber, effect going to the store, close doctors offices only when your sick, and split the nation into many different facets of opinion, boy would that be the dream. And then it hit…AWP. From the moment I felt nauseated by the constant whining of Pete’s voice to the bragalicious personality of Michael Q Coffey, I thought there would be no cure. Masks/respirators/and these cool medically sound devices called neck gators were ordered to be worn but only by those that are not in a position of power or that make over an exuberant amount of money each month. There were more people than ever asking for money, handouts, copying Etsy stores, creating sob stories. It was clear pandemonium. Then it hit me, this is how life is going to be for everyone. Just one step closer to getting to those walnut infused lightly sanded rustic plywood stairs leading to the all keto cedar gates. And then, I heard it. This voice. For once in a 100 episodes I didn’t feel nauseous anymore. I walked from Coffee shop to Coffey shop looking for this sweet sound. Then I saw him. Boy the voice did not match the receptacle it was coming out of, good Lord. But the voice was angelic. It immediately cured my AWP symptoms. As I sat and listened to a “Oh Black Betty” medley I closed my eyes and listened and felt as if there was hope. When the gorgeous sounding vibrations stopped I asked, “Who are you?” To which this guy replied “Daniel…Daniel Dunlap…The…Daniel Dunlap”. I was puzzled and scratched my head as I didn’t know what he meant but it was sure nice to meet the savior of the world that could take away all this nonsensical ideology. Daniel then asked me “What’s on your bench?” And I knew I’ve heard that phrase before. I looked at Daniel with longing eyes and said “are you?” To which he most rudiciously interrupted “I AM AWP!!!” Noooooooo. Be careful with this show/podcast/laughing marathon as before you know it, 100 episodes of your life will be gone forever and you will be stuck in a place where only Claro Walnut exists. Not sure that’s a bad thing…

    Bees knees
I decided to check out the show after my son wouldn’t stop talking about how great you guys are. Little Rj would just on and on about how much he loves and looks up to you guys. After listening to all your shows it seems to me little rj likes to put on a facade of acting like a big boy who knows it all. You’ll have to forgive him. You see he didn’t grow up with a father figure who is as manly as you three. But I can tell you he is an avid fan. He’s even made his own awpeed’on shirt with his Cricut and won’t stop wearing it. But I make him change his custom awp undies with your photographs on it every 4 days. Any who I just wanted to let you guys know your the bees knees and my son and I just adore you. Keep up the great work. -mamma hammy

    Hard times
I was going through a very hard time in my life. Everything seemed to be crumbling around me. Then I found the AWP podcast. I’ve listened to almost every episode now and my life hasn’t changed at all. I mean like zero change, nada, zilch. But that means it didn’t get worse either so there is that. AWP: it won’t make your life worse.

    Doesn’t cut it
I began listening to AWP about a year ago for tool recommendations. As a, totally real not made up at all for this story, aspiring butcher, I was ecstatic when the guys raved about the Sawstop hotdog saw because I’ve been in the market for one of these pork emulsion slicers since graduating from the Meat Institute. To my dismay, the saw creates a loud noise that I can only describe as a gun blast and retracts the blade whenever I try to cut my meat. Initially I thought this was a fluke but after 37 attempts and after a few unfortunate raids by local law enforcement, I can confidently say this saw won’t cut meat. Although disappointing, I will say it cuts through bird’s eye pine and rustic mdf like a dream. Can confirm, rating system is still broken…5 stars because there is no other option. Love the intro music and banter
Just discoverd this podcast! Starting with the oldest and i am now on episode 6. Fun and educational. LOVE the intro ,sounds like the intro to a detective show during the 70's. could make a good ringtone for messages received. Looking forward to getting to the most recent release.

    PROS, through and through
I was the guest on episode 91, and let me tell ya, these guys know what they’re doing and here’s why - the pre-show. The pre-show allows the guest to get acclimated to the environment, get a feel for the cadence of banter, the tone of the show, and get all of the shock and awe out of the way. During the pre-show, Pete talked a lot about nipples, Dan talked even more about Pete’s nipples, and Mike threatened to beat me up and take my lunch money. Amongst other things, that was plenty to get me up to speed enough to record the episode seamlessly. For all intents and purposes, I’m a nobody. Mike, Dan, and Pete are somebodies. They’re like the Richard Gere to my Julia Roberts. For a few hours, I got to crawl off the street into a fancy limousine, drink Brut, and go dress shopping with some real live gentlemen. They made me feel like the prettiest girl at prom, and in the end, we fell in love.

    Misnamed
The show title would make you think this is about woodworking, it's not. Not sure what it's about. l lost an hour of my life listening to three guys giggle. Not much meat in this podcast.

    FDA
After listening to 88 I’m convinced AWP is FDA approved! My feet have been killing me lately after a long day in the shop until I heard about Pete’s shop footwear of choice! So now it’s out with the boots and HELLO shop slippers for me! No more pain for my lower 10 digits wearing my new Shop Flip Flops! AWP is the new CDC! C-offey D-unlap C-apar Ed @oakridgewoodworks

    Cured?
I was having a hard time remembering people from previous meet ups and conventions. I was so down all I wanted to do was sit around and play NBA 2K. No one could figure out what was wrong until my doctor referred me to the mayonaise clinic where I was diagnosed with Dan-mentia. My doc prescribed Dan-epezil and a weekly dose of AWP. Since then I have been back to my normal self making grumpy cat river cutting boards like a champ. Thanks AWP!
  • Sean Lincoln
Rated 5 out of 5 ethnic sandwiches
Sean from West Bound Woodcraft AWP is my new drug of choice. As soon as a new episode hits the streets, I’m tripping truck nutts. I take a ride on a magic DDW bowtie through a sky of Mike Coffey beard shaped clouds and land in an outhouse in New Jersey where I poop with Pete. If you want to taste sounds and smell colors go to your neighborhood podcast dealer and get some pure cut AWP.

    Is this normal?
When I started to listen to this podcast my “nips” started to hurt. Is that normal? Don’t know why but I though that if I continued to listen it would go away. Nope? They hurt even more. “Oh my nips”. The rating of the podcast is still broken. I submitted 1/32 of a star and it automatically changed to 5 starts. Great podcast, continue the great work.

    It made me poo
I spent many a few nights not being able to pass you know my food. I had lost it all and missed a few episodes of AWP and after years of research i found the source of my brown problem. And wouldn’t you know it was the lack of AWP. Seconds after i put it on my pipes were a churning and praise the good ones i was relieved. Thank you

    Welcome back to “The Office”
After finishing watching “The Office” for the 5th time and hearing that a bunch of the cast had podcasts of their own, I went on a hunt. I came across this podcast on its first episode where Mike goes to prison. Steve Carell returns as “Prison Mike” with a different voice but the same affinity for jokes and giggling with his new friends Dan and Pete. I appreciate how dedicated Carell is to his character as he has stayed in character for almost 2 years worth of podcasts. 8/4 would totally recommend!

I’m in a glass case of emotion
I happened upon your podcast by mere coincidence. I had been a loyal listener of the Another Wood Shoe Podcast. At first, I was disappointed when a simple spelling error brought me here. To be honest, the disappointment has never left, but I’ve grown especially fond of Dan’s voice. It has fixed my horribly distorted feet from years of clog wearing. When I hear DD sing, I automatically smile and get a pep in my step…well, my limp (again…the clogs). Thank you AWP for all that you do. The boils are much more manageable when I listen to you. The AWP Wig
My wife suggested that I use the affiliate link to get my AWP Wig.... But it's not as advertised it's not human hair.... It's horse of coarse.... And it's not from the mane it's right from the the horses butt and when I wear it I get attacked by huge flies.... Thanks AWP

    Cheaper Than A Doctor
I'm so glad that I found Another Woodshop Podcast. I’ve always had issues with armpit skin tags. Going to the doctor was kind of embarrassing, very expensive and the removal was painful. I realized after listening to AWP that the armpit skin tags can just be taken off in moments with a palm sander and 40 grit sandpaper. No longer do I worry about the expense and embarrassment of going to the doctor, and the pain really isn’t that much worse than going to the doctor. I believe AWP should add Holistic Medicine to their Yelp listing!

    Great advise!
My wife was getting sick of all my body hair, but I wasn’t sure I was ready to manscape… after listening to every episode, I finally got the courage to meh-scape instead…. she still isn’t happy with the situation, but at least I know why they like that merkin company so much! Am I wearing it wrong? Jon @AnchorWorkshop

    The BEST Sleepwalk Coaches!
Cursed with a life long sentence of somnambulism (Sleepwalking) and Hyperkeratosis (excessive skin growth), my mohel attempted yet another unsuccessful reduction. My friend Keith “morsels” Johnson suggested I listen to AWP. After only 2 episodes of AWP I’ve learned how to embrace my affliction instead of hiding from it. Now when I wake up after sleepwalking, I find myself in the garage vigorously rubbing wood with sandpaper, scrapers, glue, and essential oils. Thank you AWP for teaching me how to work my wood. P.S. The only downside... it’s always someone else’s garage, never my own.
