Of all the audio renditions of Jane Austin’s works, this is by far the best! Such amazing voice actors and actresses! Picking up the true character personalities and emotions! The added music and background sounds were all so very well done too!

What a beautiful story! I love all the voices for each person, and am extremely grateful for all the effort everyone involved has bestowed upon this lovely podcast🫶🏽 It was so enjoyable and the outros were awesome and real and absolutely hilarious 😆 all together an exquisite production. This is such a fresh and original production. I’m really enjoying it. The actors are excellent and they bring a slightly different interpretation to some of their characters’ dialogues than we’ve heard or seen in other adaptations. Just when you think there’s nothing new to discover in Austen, along comes this delightful surprise. Can’t wait for Persuasion!

For fans of the movies and book, this takes the cake! So many things that made me grumpy about fave screen versions were answered so well by this production! I got excited by the story again.❤️ Book fans—they included all the book bits that never seem to make it to screen! Eeee!

What an incredible reading of Austen’s Pride & Prejudice by a very talented group. I cannot wait for them to do more (please don’t ever stop!) Then on top of the beloved story, the out … credits 🤔- our mystery lady tells you who performs in each episode and may entertain you on the way - well worth listening to every single second 😁 (Thank you mystery lady - you have had me laughing out loud in some episodes)

What a delight to listen to. I had been wanting to re-read Pride and Prejudice recently as I have been watching both the movie and miniseries lately but wanted to feel even more details that Austen wrote so well. This podcast allows me to experience this greater attention to detail while I do other work. The narrating is excellent and the quality of the voice acting improves every episode. The people reading Elizabeth and Jane I think particularly capture their characters well. I particularly am fond of the outros and cannot bring myself to skip any of them. What a pleasant find.

The quality of the recording increases with episodes. Several of the actors are excellent a pleasure to listen to. A couple have stilted choppy speech, presumably due to the local accents’ cadence.

This podcast happened at the perfect time for me and so many others. During lockdowns, chaos, reckonings, I just needed a way to escape. This was so well done, so well edited and acted, and the hilarious sign-offs were everything! Thank you for bringing so much Austen joy!

First was the excellent Dr. Blake mystery series. This production is even better. I just wish I could see it. Thanks to the whole company for all of your efforts. Can’t wait for your next production.

I’ve enjoyed listening to this theatre’s rendition of Pride and Prejudice. This is a top notch performance! I’m waiting for the next season and hope that I don’t have to wait long!!

I absolutely love this podcast. They’ve brilliantly balanced having a narrator reading the story with actors reciting the lines. I wish every audiobook was just like this! I hope the show continues after P&P with maybe their rendition of another Jane Austen story.

It is so fun to listen to this dramatization. The actors really bring the story to life, and we were already in a Jane Austen novel, so I didn’t think it could be even better! The actor who plays Elizabeth nails it- fantastic performance.

I am not exaggerating when I say that this lovely podcast has offered me a renewed appreciation for Pride and Prejudice. Upon starting it, I found myself opening the book again, and rewatching all iterations of the film. Thank you very much, Ballarat National Theatre and the ladies who make this podcast possible!
