It was a delight to hear two ‘greats’ of the eventing world discuss the pros and cons of the different top level eventing formats. I always enjoy the show, and this one was particularly thought provoking. A BIG thank you for hosting Lucinda Green and William Fox-Pitt and guiding this important discussion.

I haven’t been able to locate an eventing podcast and this was a great find! They’re both informative and witty. I’d like to say they’re both great but if I’m being honest Jonathan is my favorite. His quick wit and knowledge proves him a superstar in his field. I believe that anyone who enjoys horse riding will enjoy this.

Enjoy the conversation and opinions shared on these shows. The hosts are actively involved in the horse world and seem to know everyone in the evening world.

So at first I did not like this podcast. It was like great, more dudes, talking over women, thinking they are hilarious and know everything. However after giving it a couple chances to hear guests I like, it’s now my favorite on my podcast subscription list — which also includes MLE, Equiratings, USEA, Amateur Hour, and more (which I also like of course otherwise I would not subscribe to them). Jon and Rick get great guests on and they talk honestly, unscripted-ly about the sport. Sure, their knowledge of the non-US eventing scene could use some assistance (eg maybe listening to the Equiratings podcast!) and they do tend to interrupt (but like, don’t we all), and sometimes the audio is a little off (as long as my horse isn’t off, I’ll take it). However Jon and Rick have a great rapport with each other and they bring on amazing guests and ask them unique, tailored questions each time. I feel like I have an insight into the US eventing scene that I didn’t have before, and I get great ideas and inspiration for my own training and new ways of thinking about a competition mindset every single episode. Thanks Jon and Rick!

Great content. Would like to have better sound quality- often echoes or the speaker sounds far away. Perhaps a small investment in better microphone would help.

Jon and Rick do a great job hosting this show by keeping the conversation moving to lessen the dead airspace that you sometimes get in podcasts. By covering a wide range of topics, they produce a well-balanced show. It’s an enjoyable, informative listen!

Great show! Jon and Rick have a great on-air chemistry. And, as active contending competitors at the top of the sport, they offer us enthusiasts a rare view behind the scenes of eventing at the very highest level. The wide range of guests keeps it very interesting and fun!

A fantastic source of information, motivation, and entertainment. I love the insight provided by Jon and Rick; the guests are great and I love hearing about their career paths with a detailed breakdown of recent performances. And if you want to stay caught up on the latest USEA developments relating to rules and safety, this is the place to be.
