    Phenomenal!
I just found this podcast and am binging! Ben and Sam have opened up my favorite movies in a whole new way - well researched and because they love animation, the heart of the movies are kept in the episodes.

Found you via Evolution of Horror
I am starting at the beginning here since I just found out about this podcast via EOH. It’s not much of a jump from Grimm tales like Snow White! But I have to say, if a bodice was put on Snow, it would be over a chemise, pervs! :) I am up to the Fantasia episode now and it’s fab! Thanks for making this.

Love this podcast!! A must for any Disney fan
This podcast is so insightful, it’s been such a treat to rewatch all the animated classics and then get so much inside info about the movies I grew up with and especially the ones I didn’t grow up watching! The hosts are so funny 😁 I especially love that they had an ep about Who Framed Roger Rabbit my personal favorite movie of all time 🤩

    AMAZING
I stumbled on this because Paul Scheer tweeted about his appearance and omg am I glad I listened. I am a fan of most Disney movies & also the parks but am no film buff or animation expert or Disney nut… but I cannot stop listening. Hosts are very fun and likable and extremely knowledgeable and passionate. I have listened to 5hrs of the podcast over the last 2 days since discovering it and am basically telling everyone I know. Thanks guys.

    Actual history and insight
Was looking for a podcast about the history of Disney and their animated classics. Every other podcast on this topic has way too much personal stories or opinions and don’t enlighten or talk about advancement in techniques, historical context or behind the scenes info. This does and the hosts are lovely. Feels like sitting at a dinner table with very knowledgeable friends.

What a lovely, well-researched podcast. I could listen to these hosts all day. I have learned so much and been introduced to the incredible talent of the Disney universe—I would have never known about the wonderful life of Howard Ashman if not for this podcast. Thank you!!

    Nostalgic and Educational
This podcast had me hooked from the first few episodes. I grew up as a “Disney kid” in the 90s, so when I was looking for an escapist podcast to fill my driving time, this had great shelf appeal. But as I have listened, I have found it to be so much more than just listening to two people talking about movies we’ve all seen; I’m genuinely learning more about animation, Disney history, and understanding why certain movies were made at certain times. Listening to Ben and Sam feels like you are overhearing a fabulously funny conversation between two longtime friends with genuine affection for each other and their source material. The set structure of the podcast gives each episode a nice frame, but their digressions are equally diverting and enjoyable. I am grateful the Disney canon is as prolific as it is so I will have an excuse to listen to this podcast for years to come.

    Pure, heartwarming and joyous!
Sam and Ben have renewed my love of (most) Disney classics and I have found myself amazed at the depth they go to as they discuss these beloved animated films. Each episode is jam-packed with heartwarming content that puts a huge smile on my face. Keep up the great work Professors!

    A Delightful Listen
I have thoroughly enjoyed learning about the classic Disney catalog with these two gentlemen. They cover the history of the studio, specific artists and other creatives involved in the films, as well as discussing the films themselves. I’m an old school Disney nerd, and I just enjoy the history and minutia, and this podcast gives a great snap shot of each film. Well done boys!

    Really engaging film conversation
A really insightful look into the Disney catalog. Ben and Sam treat the movies like the art they are and never like cynical entertainment aimed at kids. It’s been really fun learning how little I actually know about Disney movies. It’s worth a listen even if you don’t have the time to watch along!
