VeganSkywalkerFunA terrific exploration of Swedish culture and experience. The host is positive a s curious. Descendants of Swedish immigrants to America are a bit on own own to learn about the country of our ancestors and this podcast is a fun help.

MeredithreformedExciting DiscoveryBig fan of the Earful Tower and was excited to find out that the Earful Sweden existed. I have never had a huge interest in Sweden, but now I do! I am so intrigued to discover this country myself. You really inspire adventure in all things travel. Keep up the good work.

birdcall12A great escape in a time where we can’t travel! This is a gem! I studied in Sweden a few years ago and I’ve been missing Sweden like crazy. This podcast has brought back lots of memories of my time spent in this lovely country. A great escape in a time where we can’t travel.

Fran M RThe Earful SwedenThis is a dollop of sunshine every morning. I listen to both podcasts after hearing the deadly daily news to give myself a lift - and to remind myself that there is joy to be found in all corners of the world. Keep it up! I adore both you and Lina! A truly enchanting couple! So much fun! Fran

RobertCrowderälskar detLike many others, I started listening to the Earful Sweden because I'm a regular Earful Tower listener. Oliver brings the same easy going and inquisitive personality that you find with his work in the Earful Tower to the Earful Sweden. At this point it seems like this season was a bit of a crash course on Swedish culture and some famous places in Stockholm. I'm looking forward to more episodes of the Earful Sweden because I'd love to learn more about the country, Swedish culture, and some other cities/towns in Sweden since I'm considering moving there. If you're hoping to start learning about Sweden, or you're a fan of Oliver's work, then I feel like you'll love this podcast!

jfagerstromLove this!Started listening to the earful tower and found this podcast next. I have a degree in French, and lived in Nantes in college, and am also 100% Scandinavian, 3/4 Swedish the rest Norwegian. I thought I knew a lot about Sweden but am learning so much more. Please make more! Tack sa mycket 🇸🇪

Hygge 💗Able to ear-fully wanderlust to my favorite place!Hej! I was born in raise in sunny Arizona and just so happened to fall in love with a Swede and married shortly after. We’ve continued to live in the US for 7 years and are hoping to move to Stockholm later this year. Your podcast takes me to “my happy place” and continues to light the spark of excitement to one day move there. Please ask your listeners to send great energy and vibes so that everything stays on track (job-wise) to live in the beautiful Stockholm. Questions for you! I’m an epidemiologist hoping to find a job in Stockholm. I speak English and am slowly learning Swedish, any tips on getting a job as a not-so-fluent Swedish speaker? Thank you!

Rachel MFalling in Love with Sweden All Over AgainI am familiar with Oliver and the Lovely Lina bc my mom is obsessed with them and the Earful of Paris podcast. I have never been, so I didn’t tune in. But after going on a business trip to Stockholm with my husband in 2019 we fell in love with the city, country, and culture pretty instantaneously. So, when Oliver’s new podcast dropped my mom told me and I was in! I don’t know another soul who has been to Sweden, so hearing Oliver talk about some places we have been and places we want to go when we return - it’s like chatting with a friend who is giving you all the ins and outs. Oliver is so easy to listen to - I actually wish the episodes were longer. I can’t wait to tune into each episode to unlock interesting tidbits about the Swedes. I hope he does ones about the sweets and bakeries there. I had the BEST desserts in my life there (I am not even a dessert person) and I was shocked because I don’t associate yummy bakery with Sweden. Boy was I wrong!

CRBoehmExcellent PodcastThe Earful Sweden is the second podcast hosted by Oliver Gee, the entertaining and inquisitive host of the Earful Tower podcast. Oliver’s exploration of Sweden, Swedes and their culture is every bit as insightful as his French-oriented podcast. I enjoy and heartily recommend them both! -Carl Boehm, North Carolina USA.

Cruci64Swedish Delight!Oliver in Sweden is every bit as entertaining and enough as Oliver in Paris. Thanks, Oliver, for taking us along on your explorations and adventures. Having sailed through the archipelago leading from the Baltic into Stockholm, I’d love a show about the islands and the Swedish tradition of holiday homes. Also a show about the Aga factory on Lidingo would be fascinating. A small but moving memorial to Raoul Wallenberg is found nearby. And I’m sure you could do a great story on commuting into Stockholm from neighboring islands (before we all had to work from home, that is) and the lemming-like rush out of offices at lunch hour in the city. Just a few ideas! Keep up the fantastic work!

AlpshikerLoved your show with Roger and the RoyalsOliver, being a faithful The Earful Tower Patreon member, I naturally joined the raving fan base for your new endeavor... the Earful Sweden. I just enjoyed listening on your chat with Roger and having the opportunity to take a peek a boo into the Swedish Royal Family. I immediately shared the podcast with (Sandy and Tim) my next door neighbors who have lived and worked in Sweden. I know they will enjoy the podcast and it will bring great joy to them reminiscing about their many visits to Stockholm and their love for the Swedish culture. Bra gjort och grattis. 😊🇸🇪 Jeff Protzman

JennyNuca23Great spinoffI’m in love with the Earful Tower Paris, and know next to nothing about Sweden, so this is a great start. Oliver is so friendly and fun and brings on great guests. So lovely to travel vicariously with my ears while stuck at home.

Mayreni SweisAll Ears for the Earful PodcastsI’ve been a long time supporter of the Earful Tower. When Oliver announced his new venture, the Earful Sweden, I was already “all ears!” Though Paris is my heart, I’ve always wanted to travel to Sweden, and Oliver’s podcast arrived just in time to transport me to the majestic land of the Swedes. Oliver brings his famous curiosity and inquisitive personality to his new podcast and continues to interview an array of people with fascinating knowledge. If you need a good armchair travel or are already a fan of the Earful Tower, then this podcast is for you! Grab some Swedish meatballs or take a fika and give this show a listen.

Melinda LarsonA Fika for my earsAs a Scandinavian American (both Swedish and Norwegian), I have who has always been fascinated by the traditions of my ancestors. Who better to help me discover the culture and peculiarities of Sweden than my favorite Earful guides? I feel like I’m holiday with old friends.
