beyondthemountainGreat information and inspirationI found this show when I was new to running and running an ultra seemed outlandish. Hearing practical and helpful information from someone with amazing experience as well as the interviews and story telling of women breaking their previous distance “limits” has made me realize it’s not out of reach and I’m going for it. Love this show and the emphasis on women’s running, training, recovery and motivation needs.

eorlemannLeveling Up My RunningI have learned an astronomical amount about ultrarunning since I started listening to She Runs Ultras last fall. Now that I’m signed up for my first 50k, it’s crucial to learn as much as possible about what to expect. This podcast addresses every aspect of ultras: the good, bad, and ugly. Before I started listening, I was leaving a lot of aspects of my training up to “luck.” “Hopefully I won’t get injured this month!” or “Let me just do this strength workout I saw on Instagram!” or “I’m just going to wear the cheapest pair of running shoes I can find!” Since starting to listen to this podcast, I have learned, first, that “luck” is a four letter word…but also, I have learned many strategies for training smarter, more effectively, and in a way that’s better for my body and mind. But most importantly, the She Runs Ultras community lends to women athletes a sense of not being alone. I don’t feel as though I’m just blindly stumbling through my training anymore; it feels as though I have a place to go for advice. It’s also helped me realize that I’m not the first to go through training highs and lows; there are many strong, inspirational, women out there who have faced and overcome challenges just like mine. If you are a woman, a runner, an ultrarunner, or just someone who is trying to accomplish big scary goals—I would HIGHLY recommend listening to this podcast.

Lizzard0316Tons of great informationI’m running my first 50k next month and wasn’t really sure where to look for information and support. Meghan is an experienced ultra runner and also has a lot of training in yoga/functional movement/mobility. I have learned so much from this podcast. It is also helpful to listen to both her race recaps and race recaps from people from her various programs.

pulm/cc fellowLove how relatable this podcast is!I found Meghan’s podcast while looking for info on jumping from the marathon to the 50K. While I don’t always take her thorough advice, I find her so relatable. She sounds like someone who would be a great best running friend. Worth a listen if you’re getting bored of your usual marathon training podcasts. :)

Pamdemonium2My favorite running podcastShe Runs Ultras is my favorite running podcast out there. She is real and authentic and so relatable to the average runner like me. I have learned so much listening to her and always have so much more motivation to get out there and run when I’m done with an episode.

#1FrogqueenSimply the Best!I found this podcast between my first Ultra in May and my second in September. Meghan is simply REAL! She comes across so down to earth and makes you feel like she is one of us. During one of her podcasts, I learned about her Run Farther Faster Stronger self paced functional training program. As a Physical Therapist, I was immediately intrigued by the functional training focus. I signed up and love it. Keep up the great content Meghan!!!

maybe I CAN run an ultra! Here we go!!I’m so happy to have found this podcast, as I make the slow crawl back from an injury toward my goal of running an ultra!!! There is so much good stuff in each episode, and I appreciate that it comes not from a medal/PR-seeking elite runner, but from an everyday runner more like myself! It makes this whole ultra goal seem more within reach, and I know this podcast will help me get there!

j tharpGreat podcast for all runners!I found Meghan when I was searching for podcasts about trail running after I signed up for my first 50k. ilikepie911A Must ListenI’m always looking for podcasts about running that I can relate to and this one fits the bill. Meghan covers a wide range of topics that every runner can use to help them in their training. I’ve been listening to her podcast since it started and always come away with some new knowledge or encouragement to help me continue on my running journey.

John BranscumLife changing podcastWhen I stumbled across this podcast I was just starting out on a journey to run my second marathon, my first 50k, and follow that up with a third marathon two weeks after the 50k. As of writing the review I can say I’m 2/3 the way there and I can credit Meghan and this podcast for a lot of it. What I take away mostly is the work we must do in our heads and our hearts to turn goals into accomplishments. Meghan keeps things simple and uses her own experiences to connect back to the message that she is trying to convey. John B. Charlotte, NC

JowietyNew to ultrasI randomly found this podcast on audible and started listening from the beginning. I’m still only 5 or 6 episodes in because I just started but I love it! There is a beginner mindset and sincerity in these podcasts that are great! And fantastic tips!

cmmahoney14A MUST listen for new ultra runners (and veteran runners too)I ran my first ultra this summer, but I discovered Megan after I ran it. How I wish I would have found it before! She drops so much practical knowledge in her episodes. For both new runners and those who have run for years, Megan’s insights (and guests) are helpful and real. I learn something new every episode. And not just new info, but also the why behind it and how to apply it to real life. She is a wonderful communicator and easy to listen to (and follow along on IG!). She shares the struggles and the excitement of running and through it all she shares the realness of it all, and that is something I appreciate.

kvg49Absolutely one of the best podcasts !!!I just recently began listening to podcasts while running and I stumbled across this one . So glad I did . Not only is Meghan honest about what works and hasn’t worked for her while training, she gives a raw account of the how and why of it all . Only wish I would have found this earlier..
