This is such a comforting show
I live in the heart of Anishinaabe country (Mooningwanekaaning) and I love this show. It’s like hearing some young aunties talk about the current issues (virtually). Thank you!

The Indigenous Aunties I Always Wanted
Listening to Melissa and Souta talk together is a beautiful genuine window into what modern indigenous women are going through and it warms me to hear their wisdom and share in their struggles and laughter. I have been listening for the last couple of years and it is the longest i have ever listened to a podcast— I have listened to every episode and I look forward to each new conversation with what I feel are my online Aunties. Growing up with native blood but not being in touch with my culture, this podcast has meant a lot to me. Thank you, Indigenous Vision!!

Things I bet you wish you knew…
Highly recommend! Great podcast with a refreshing vision. I am grateful to these two women for letting us listen to their honest, jarring, sometimes painful, funny, observations. I think you’ll be both surprised and moved.

    powerful
I am so grateful you ladies have a platform to share your truth and wisdom. In modern times, we can all start informing ourselves on different culture and the issues marginalized communities face, just by listening. What you are doing is so important and it speaks volumes. I grew up in a white family but from a young age I have always felt strongly connected to native american culture. Pulled towards spirituality- not religions- crystals, dream catchers, sage, wanting to learn about different tribes and stories, as well as yearning to know more about those who were here before Eurpoean and white culture dominated the Americas. I just recently learned my late grandmother called herself Two Feathers, so that is quite intersting...

So glad you’re featured and I will keep following
You’re both giving me a lot to think about. I’m an older white lady living and working in Japan for five years. I think a lot about race and culture because it’s so obvious that I’m different and apart from the dominant Asian person here. However, I’ve been treated most kindly—- I’m imagining what a different world it would be if indigenous people were treated kindly by whites. Whites began to dominate only after exercising every heartless, dishonest brutal trick in the book. The world we live in is dominated by brutal white Capitalism, caring for capital and not living “creatures”. I can’t turn back the clock but I can live with more humility.

Love! from a non Native American person
Y’all are really great. I am a POC. There was one episode where one of you said we want BIPOC people but don’t include indigenous people! That really opened my eyes because I was one of those people who never even thought of indigenous people, sadly. I will do better. Thanks for being real and inspiring people- <3 from Wisconsin!

So happy to hear a podcast like this
Finally we have a podcast where to amazing Matriarchal women take the time to really unpack what living in more indigenous life would look like. Indigenous vision is just that a vision of how we all could be and live in more indigenous ways and spaces.

So appreciative of your podcast which is such a candid conversation (reminds me of barbershop chats in the Black community) full of ideas, nerdiness, wisdoms, humanity, and most importantly infectious laughter! 😆 It is a “pick me up” podcast on my challenging days and a glimpse to a indigenous led just loving world possible!! 🪴
