ZwagosianDarkReally gross, self-satisfied coverage of the art world. Unabashed in its blatant complicity with the ultra-rich. Can’t believe these guys can sleep at night honestly. Like if you have this insider perspective of the hushed happenings within this opaque market/world and have a podcast at least use your position (and Ivy League skillset as a “journalist” NATE) to provide the slightest amount of friction against it. Is it worth it guys? I’m sure being the disposable puppets of billionaires comes with some temporary perks but for Christ’s sake this is bleak boys.

mmmiiiaaa135InsufferableThese are the two most obnoxious humans I’ve ever listened to.

okokok612Seemed like a parodyBut then I realized that it wasn’t. Sincere would also be incorrect. Deeply out of touch, asking mostly the wrong questions, and somehow of the year 2002, in very un-joyful ways. Good luck guys!

PwbowerListen and despair!A must-listen for any artist or collector curious about the self satisfied, soulless, power-worshipping center of the art world. Comes across as parody, but it ain’t.

ArtAdvisorUKA reminder of how vacuous the art market isJust when I wonder whether the art market is centred on over indulged white men who name drop about parties, house visits and what coffee they have ordered within their day of nepotistic socialising, I find confirmation within this podcast that, yep, it is. Thanks for the confirmation and for the motivation to inspire change. Three stars for inspiring motivation to find something other than this.

MFI2000Why do they have to be so sexiest?I really want to like this podcast, but they are constantly drooling over Jordan Wolfson, Lucas Zwirner, and Alex Israel. They consistently trash and make fun of female gallerists and women in the art world. I think you guys can do better!
-
Heart-Heart-Heart-1-2-3In bed with art devilsThese hosts have given in to the dark side. The podcast is a brag/bro fest about schmoozing with power. I used to love Nate Freeman’s take on the late Artsy podcast. I can’t believe how gross his coverage of the art world has become. I understand money is the crux of the contemporary art world, but dear lord, could you possibly indulge in the “scene” while holding a smidgen of distance and critical thinking about wealth and class? The rich have eaten Nate alive.

Agassi-TxGrating to the earsIf it’s been said that some people “have faces for radio,” then these guys have “voices for print media.” It grates on the ears like a vocal fried LES brunch. But still…somehow, I can’t wait to hear the next episode.

hipenguinBest in the BizLove the hot takes on the art world + insightful commentary on hot and emerging artists. Really love the recs!!
-
crossedchopsticksGreat ShoutBig fan of the pod. Love the banter between Ben and Nate! It’s the only art pod that I listen to and it’s a treat
-
Ivan/ManhattanBest art podcast out there!Benjamin and Nate have an amazing rapport and are so in-the-know, that this can’t be missed if you are in the art world or just a casual observer.
-
ddohnggoBest pod to learn about what rich people likeMy weekly dose of what art billionaires buy, their pj’s, and dime square restaurants they will never set foot in. 👌🏼
-
88raverBest real art world podcastActually fun and informative podcast on the contemporary art world. Love the restaurant recs the guests and hosts give!
-
greg dot orgLollegendsThese boys are out there blowing up all the spots, breaking juicy news, and hyping influential friends of the pod, the hardest working podcasters in the art business. [and by working, I mean partying]

altroparadiso505Do YOU like this podcast? YesSickest pod in the art world. This pod convinced my finance bro friends to get interested in art🙏 upset that Nate alone ruined Bemelmans but I’ve forgiven… can’t wait for the Venice coverage. Keep it up.

sara higniteLove NBArt shows/fairs, market updates, snarky gossip, and the promise of sick merch - what’s not to love?

peterknellMy MedsBen and Nate give me just what I need to keep eye rolls out of the household addressing the things I enjoy so much (and get caught laughing audibly at) as I move through my days. Art market banter, just enough inside baseball gossip to keep me entertained, educated assessments of all things culture… what’s not to love? I’ve listened to every episode the day it drops and only wish the guys would another another 1-2/ week. As a recent NY to LA transplant - it’s a chance for me to sit next to dinner virtually with the guys. I also like Benjamin’s journey for voracious carnivore to vegan and back to a balanced mix. We are lucky the guys have made it to la with the pod, the edges of aspen and who can’t wait for boat riding pods from Venice? Keep on keeping on ✌🏼

Art VaderrrThe ONLY Art Podcast You NeedDo you like contemporary art and are the sort to wait in line at Russ & Daughters with a pink newspaper under your arm? Or do you live in the sticks and endlessly scroll IG to stay up to date on the NY art world while dreaming of the martinis at Bemelmans? Well then brother, have I got the art podcast for you! Welcome to the world of Nota Bene - the greatest art pod of all time!
-
ExpatSiriusUserMy art world guilty pleasureIf you are looking for an inside baseball, brotastic, US centric take on the comings and goings of the art world by some knowledgeable near middle aged white guys then this is the podcast for you. I don’t miss an episode
-
pod_reviewers_llc189523good podconsistently New York’s best restaurant podcast. Occasional Kingston, NY restaurant reviews as well. There are a lot of asides about art - the hosts are oddly well-informed on that topic, and the guests seem interested in it as well, curiously. Worth a listen if you’re into that sort of thing.
-
nota bene bro 4 lyfeA great listen consistently…..I enjoy the pod and look forward to the next one. With an in depth knowledge of the market and all the business that goes into it, it’s enjoyable because it feels like a casual chat while gaining insight on what’s current and not and the guests are always fantastic. Keep up the good work!
-
DAKOTA SICALet’s Go!Truly the best podcast out there for honest, real & unfiltered, art talk. Witty and fun — Ben, Nate, and the many noteworthy guests have honest discussions about Art and the “Art World” at large. Inside baseball for those who are interested in Contemporary Art and Collecting — not to mention the occasional tip for a good place to grab a drink. Highly recommend. -Dakota Sica

cheeksss23Fabulous podcastListening to two of the art world greats banter feels like how I imagine students at Oxford felt getting taught Russian history by Trotsky

Dougie LandHow is this free?In classic parasocial fashion I’ve become completely obsessed w/ my boys Nate and Ben! This is perfect antidote to the self-serious pods everywhere – I strongly suggest listening with a martini in one hand, search engine at the ready in the other. The tea is SCALDING and the paint is WET. Humbly request a pod rendezvous at Odeon (NYC or Zurich) in short order…

1864572673FAN’S ONLY FANSI love this podcast for the same reason I walked out of Uncut Gems THREE TIMES…amazingly uncomfortable on so many levels yet unrelenting. Respect both the intellect and the bravery to stare down the backlash I’m sure they’re getting.
-
okay_you_knowokayI listened to every episode and now i can’t stop laughing like nate freeman…. and calling every artwork i see a “picture”
-
GreyhoundB05niceListened while working in studio, which I was nervous would be counterproductive, given the content, but the opposite occurred. Really chill, nice pace. Was pleasantly entertained while accomplishing things. Great resource for folks who don’t want to go out very much. Thanks!

user4285630981Very disappointingShallow and pretentious chat. Unfortunate because podcast’s principle sounded very promising. Keep this prattle for Clubhouse.
