    This podcast is a lifesaver
I feel like this is my virtual best friend who I go to for advice or guidance. I love every single episode so much and Jemma is super wise beyond her years!!!

Too many ads, but I LOVE IT!

    WISDOM BEYOND HER YEARS
Gemma, I’ve never felt so seen, heard, and understood. How do you literally have such profound wisdom and insight on all the topics I never even knew I needed!? 😭 thank you for being the best friend I never had 🫶🏼

    Too many ads
I like the continent but it is ridiculous to the interrupted multiple time per episode with the same ads!!! I don’t need to hear an ad for nature made three times in one episode.
  • crunchycats
    What happened?? Only ads now
I used to love this podcasts and now it’s just an ad hub? Out of the first 15 mins 3 mins were just the introduction on what the podcasts is supposed to be over. I used to love this channel and now it seems money driven only

Really good content, I need without ads
How can I pay to have all of the ads removed cos it’s like 50% of the run time it’s ridiculous! I love your work and I feel like you really call me out on my issues but my main energy is pay to skip the line whenever possible. The world can’t wait thru so many ads to hear your message. Let us pay lol

You Saved and Changed Me for the Better!! <3
Your episodes have helped me so much to get me through my 20’s and even after that. I have resonated with almost all of your videos and you have taught me new ways to help prevent something from happening again. And you literally saved my relationship with my boyfriend because I have a lot of childhood trauma and I never knew how to deal with or how to get myself help in a way but after being here and listening and especially taking notes throughout the episodes I have become a whole different person for the better and I will forever be grateful and thankful to you. Of course I will always have my bad days some more worse than others but with everything I have learned from you those bad days don’t last days or at most a week at a time. So thank you so much and keep making episodes and being an amazingly talented women.

    Jemma is the absolute best!
I’m so happy to find this podcast. I found it yesterday and instantly had to follow. I can’t stop listening. Each episode is between 30-40 minutes long, but I don’t mind listening. Jemma, if you are reading this I just wanted to say that you are truly amazing and I thank you so much for helping me and others! From the bottom of my heart, I thank you again and again. I pray that you never stop shining your light onto others. Please continue to make more of your episodes. 🩷💐💐

    TOO MANY ADS
I wanted to love this podcast but I’m literally drifting away every few minutes because there are so many ads. Starting with 1.5 minutes of ads is a lot and the continuation in the middle is so distracting.

    My fav podcast
This is one of my favorite podcasts and I turn 20 this month so it’s even very helpful as a 19 year old ofc. I feel like most every time she posts an episode it’s like the exact thing I’ve been worried about and thinking about. So her podcasts really help me and like all at the right time too which is amazing. The last episode I listened to 188 why we are so indecisive, her mentioning that she worries about the episodes she puts out was really helpful to me. It shows me like this person that makes really good helpful podcast episodes, still has fears and worries around doing it and yet she still makes them and posts them. It helps me to find the courage to pursue something I want to do, to just push past anxiety and fears and do it. Great podcast for young adults and just anyone!

    Love listening
Since listening to your podcast, it’s really been helping me. With my mental health. Also look at things completely different in a different aspect.

    Great for all young women
The latest episode about getting your spark back was exactly what I needed to hear. This one and so many other episodes have motivated me and helped me not to feel alone with my internal struggles. Thank you.

    Incredible
As a 20-something year old psychology major with a 50 minute drive to work every day, this podcast is AMAZING. I have utilized this podcast for so many aspects of my life, personally and professionally. The episodes that have resonated with me the most have been on oversharing, impulse spending habits, anxiety, narcissism, and the more recent episode on social media's impact on mental health. Gemma is informative and interesting, with a soothing voice that tells you everything you need to know about your brain. And it's awesome. HIGHLY recommend giving TPOYT a listen!

‘Why Can’t I Cry’ actually gave me some clarity.
I’d just listen to ‘can’t cry’ and enjoyed it same as others. Good info via research on all you’ve done. I’d even learned / noticed something…I’d often at a time would read or hear of someone being suicidal via antidepressants. It didn’t make sense. But your explanation of the experience the drug produce’s whereas you get all the symptoms to cry via pressure in chest, neck, maybe up to the eyes as well, but not producing tears. This could - I believe - render a person hopeless therefore suicidal or to point of committing suicide. Not sure of the warnings advised but they should surely include therapy. - s.jxn -

    My new favorite podcast!💚
This podcast is so incredibly helpful and thought provoking. I wish I found it sooner. It has been aiding me in the process of gaining a deeper understanding of myself and and my patterns of behavior. It has provided me with many useful tools to help navigate life. Jemma, your voice is so soothing, and I love your calm, compassionate energy. This is what makes your podcast stand out from the rest and has me coming back to listen to another episode time and time again! You’re currently helping me through a difficult break up and some other life challenges. Thank you (and your team) for the work you’re doing girl!🫂✨

    Not relatable
I listened to a few episodes but this pod just isn’t for me. I don’t find the host relatable and didn’t find the topics particularly interesting, informative, or even relevant to my life. It’s all too surface level for me. I’m 25 fyi.

    5 stars isn’t enough
Even if you’re a teenager or over 29 this podcast can help you. The milestones and life crises can happen at any time. Jemma : a perfect voice for the podcast world. It relaxes my anxiety listening to it which lets me better take in your perspectives. It’s a balance of research, guest and her experience which makes it relatable. I’ve binge listened to episodes and mentioned takeaways during counseling and my relationships. Always curious about the topic of the week. Thank you Jemma

    The Psychology of Acne
Hi Jemma! I just wanted to say thank you for all your podcasts, but especially this one about acne. I have struggled with acne since my sophomore year of high school and have tried every topical and medicine under the sun. Although it isn’t severe cystic acne, it’s been persistent enough to really affect my mental health. The amount of tears I have shed, anxious feelings I’ve had in public, and money I’ve spent on skincare/makeup products sickens me to think about. I have felt ashamed for having texture, redness, pustules, flakiness, and oily skin… thank you for bringing light to something that isn’t anyone’s fault and surely I need to convince myself of this truth. 💖 With love, Zoe 🌙

One of my favorite podcast out there.
Jemma is such a wonderful host. I’ve been looking for a podcast that delves into the issues that many individuals in their 20s face. Jemma does extensive research and brings in marvelous guests in order to have a in depth conversation about situations/circumstances/phenomena that we all think about. I love to listen to her episodes while I’m on my way to and from work; it gives me a feeling of warmth knowing that someone is out there providing validation for some of my ongoing thoughts. My favorite one was about attachment styles, such a great episode to learn from. Thank you.

This podcast has helped me grow so much and be able to understand a lot of things in a different way, which is just what I needed. Highly recommend! It’s nice to not feel so alone🩷

    helpful from the start
i’m a teenager in her second year of high school. while this podcast might not be directed towards my age group, the advice it gives still helps nonetheless. it helps me feel understood and understand the whys and how’s surrounding what’s going on. i recommend this podcast, even as a new listener. truly insightful and excellent overall.

    I enjoy it but…
I really enjoy this podcast and Jemma’s takes on a lot of things especially because I just turned 20 a little bit ago lol. However Im a guy and its seems to be more geared towards women which is okay, just would appreciate more takes on the male perspective. But don’t let that stop you from listening, its a great show!

    Just what I needed!
The taking risks episode is just what I needed to hear! I have been wanting to study abroad in Sydney for a full year. There are a lot of unknowns that made me nervous to submit my application, but you have motivated me to go for it! I’m excited for the year ahead and all of the future episodes you’ll release!

    Amazing!
I started listening to this podcast in 2023. I just recently turned 22 and I’ve noticed that my mindset has changed so drastically in the last year, and I owe some of that to this podcast. I’ve found that I subconsciously implement the ideas or mannerisms that are suggested in the episodes! I’ve learned to be more mindful of my relationships, to explore the things that make me happy, to be independent and rely on myself for happiness.

A podcast that fills many gaps for a 20 y/o brain
This is my first podcast that I listen to routinely because Jemma is great at capturing the audience’s interest, feedback and questions, while having a easy flowing, concise podcast covering so many niche issues. I listen while at work and I’ve already gotten great perspectives on my current progress with navigating work, relationships, emotions, and normal developments like change and loss. The podcast is a great way of learning valid material as someone would from a class or CBT session, while also keeping things casual and amusing.

    I love this podcast!
Jemma communicates psychology topics in such an engaging way. If you have a curious mind like me then you'll love this podcast too! It's truly informative while also entertaining and relatable. I think the most unique quality of Jemma's podcast is that it feels very meditative, and calming, like a chat over tea with a friend.

    Just What I Needed 💕
This was just what I needed! I definitely love the content and enjoy listening to this and finding out that I am not the only one having these thoughts and experiences in my 20's. It's super refreshing to listen to this podcast

    Amazing Content
I am so impressed with Jemma and the amount of in-depth and thorough content she creates. Her perspective has helped me to change the way I look at certain aspects of my life, and I feel like she has an episode (or 100) for everybody. Truly my favorite podcast.

    SO GOOD
My friend recommended this podcast to me and I have not stopped listening since! It really feels like a therapy session. This podcast has helped me remember some techniques I’ve learned with therapists and validates what I’m thinking while giving solutions that are really really helpful. I also just feel so productive listening in!

    wow just wow! ✨💕☁️
jemma has single-handedly gotten me through the worst period of my life so far, being so compassionate, soothing, and just like a huge hug from a best friend i never had. on top of that, she helps explain WHY i might be feeling why i’m feeling and HOW i might be able to change my mindset. honestly 100/10 would recommend. just a lil side note, jemma — it’s “exacerbate” not “exacerbRate” 🤭

    Game changer
Being an American male, many of the references to Australia go over my head, however the content provided by the host is relevant to everyone going through any situation that comes up throughout our 20s

    It’s free therapy!
It’s an amazing great therapeutic resource!!! For when you’re overwhelmed, feel lost, need direction, or are just unwinding and need to find yourself more, it definitely feeds your souls into what (to me) matters the most: the finds of your own expectations away from superficiality

What everyone in their 20’s needs to hear
This podcast is so comforting, enlightening, and validating. Realizing some of the things I struggle with are so common and learning to understand the psychology behind it. This podcast has helped my mental health so much. Much love to the creator 💖

    Just what I needed!
Episodes are well-researched and I love that the host brings in anecdotes from her own life. They make the research feel more “real.” Love it!
  • AllStarPastrys
    Calming and Insightful
I love the host's calming voice. I find her to be both super insightful and trustworthy. She backs most of her advice up with evidence from real studies and relevant anecdotes from her life. Most of what she says can be applied to anyone, no matter their age. Each episode does wonders to ease the anxieties I feel being in my late 20s lol, makes me feel seen! I am recommending this to many of my friends!
