Prince Hal TruestaffRecovering cessationistI am a recovering cessationist Luther, Calvin and Warfield reacted to the miraculous in the Catholic Church by declaring all their miracles were of the devil and that God given miracles were for the establishing credibility of the apostles. Once this credibility was established all authority was vested in the all sufficient scripture. They tried to destroy the gifts of the Spirit. We’ve been saddled with this error for 50 years. Bethel is a good antidote for folk theology based on opinion not scripture.

BankomerKingdom of condemnationI talked to a friend this week who was on staff at Bethel for years. He moved in the prophetic and shepherded many BSSM students. But when God told my friend to share his secret of being gay, suddenly my friend was removed and ostracized. The same God who made feathers fall from the rafters had spoken to my friend, but now this sweet sacred voice was somehow false and demonic. That’s not the kingdom of heaven, that’s a kingdom of condemnation and hatred.
