I love talking about craft, and love hearing authors talk in depth about their processes. Getting to hear authors discussing the ins and outs together feels less Interview and more like I’m sitting at the table drinking a glass of wine with them, getting info they might not share in a more structured interview. Definitely recommend for authors or readers who are interested in a behind the scenes look!

I just listened to the Adrienne Young and Shelby Mahurin episode and it was wonderful. It was more of an relaxed setting in terms of two authors just chatting together about life, writing and publishing. Really enjoyed this episode.

I’ll be honest. literature has never be a subject I’ve excelled in, but when it comes to listening to writers it is fascinating to hear them. I’m have way through the 4th episode “A Pedestal is a Different Kind of Box” and it’s insightful to hear these writers talk about the comic books, mythology, and how that relates to our modern Society. 👍👍

Enjoyed the rapport between the two authors. They elicited perceptive points that a standard-format interview might not have. Their shared observations about the writer’s craft were especially trenchant. Makes me want to go read their books!

The ability to hear authors in their own voices telling their back story of how they write is a great way to get to know them. There is no other program like this and it's such an exciting experience. I can't wait to here more of my favorite authors! I'm definitely going to suggest more people I'd like to hear.

This podcast is a great idea and a great experience. Listening to authors in a freeform type of an environment is a great way to stay engaged in a conversation and share their experiences. I think that the Always Authors podcast will be a smashing success and a big hit with all book readers.

This is a wonderful format - really, it's a genius formula!! What a pleasure to "eavesdrop" on two known authorswho are having a simple conversation!! No formulaic questions from people who are following a schedule - just a conversation between two people, one of whom chose the other for his literary value and contributions. Thank you for giving us a podcast that offers something so rich in human connection and offers so much insight into their writing process and their lives.

Came across this randomly and was glad I did! Subscribed.

I wasn’t sure what to expect with no host. (Though I have to say, I do get tired of regular interviews because they all seem to ask an author the same tired questions.) But THIS podcast? Listening to 2 authors have a conversation about whatever they want to talk about is so much fun!! I feel like we’re privy to stories/topics that we probably wouldn’t have gotten in a standard interview format. Honestly, I wasn’t familiar with all the authors on these first episodes, but the 2 that I listened to were so good, and so surprising, that I listened to all 5 of them. I now have a list of new authors I want to read. (Like the pile of books on my nightstand isn’t tall enough already. Haha!) Btw, the sound quality on these is so much better than a lot of podcasts out there. Well done, Always Authors! I’ve been telling all my friends to tune in. (P.S. I’d love to hear one of these between 2 authors whose books have been banned. That would be such an interesting episode!)

Loving this innovative concept! Especially enjoying the elimination of a host which yields interesting conversational results amongst each pair of authors in this growing series. This is an amazing podcast that brings a personal touch, in that it is a way to understand what the writer is thinking. I am excited to explore this and listen to what the authors have to say. I love listening to authors talk about their books, writing/research processes, and everything in between. This podcast is a great look into some authors and how they go about it all. I just read the Magnolia Palace through BOTM and so I liked getting to hear that author.
