    Thank You
I love this show. It provides much-needed respites from the current reality I am struggling to understand and endure. Underlying the challenges of existing in the Liminal Lands, there’s a sweetness that comes through, an emphasis on family, and a protagonist who reminds of the power of humanity. I wish I could make a financial contribution to keep the lights on but that’s not in the cards right now. So all I can do is spread the word. And it’s a word deserving of being shared. Again, thank you.
  • Great Lunch Conversation!
    Good Company
I found this podcast through a feedswap with Desert Skies. I wasn’t sure at first if the “found recording” format was going to appeal to me but I ended up pleasantly surprised and drawn in by the conversational tone of SoCo, our narrator. If you have read any Stephen King you will be able to feel the influences from The Dark Tower and The Stand. But Waymon does a good job at building his own strange world, and not leaning too heavily on any one mythos or body of work. I feel like this style of narrative would be great for anyone driving on a solo road trip or for someone in a lonesome situation. While SoCo relies on his tape recorder and hypothetical future listeners for company, we get to enjoy his company in return. And to Waymon directly - I started listening to the show a few days ago and have almost caught up. This is the first time I have taken the time to rate and review a podcast. Way to go man, great work!

    Good story, good characters
This was recommended on another podcast I listen to so I thought I’d give it a try and I am glad I did. SoCo’s narration is interesting and keep the listener engaged, and the other characters are interspersed just at the right times in the right amounts of airtime. I can’t wait to find out what happens!

So happy I stumbled along this podcast!
I love how personable Waymon is; both in and out of character! I learn, laugh, and feel genuine intrigue while listening to this podcast. In the beginning we hear the author/ producer/ voice actor explain this is a first shot at a passion project and you can truly hear the improvement episode to episode. I loved the first episode and can’t wait to keep listening past Season 4 Episode 3; where I’m at now. I love going on this journey in the story sense as well as listening to how much the production value continues to grow. Love love love it! Thank you!

    A really good job from a non-professional.
This was recommended to me on the audio drama podcast subReddit after I had posted about having recently discovered The Truth podcast and being sad that it is on possibly permanent hiatus. I tend to really love well acted, high production value, and preferably, full cast audio dramas. So the first thing that struck me was that this is basically an amateur project by a non-professional. In some ways that is part of what I’ve grown to love about it. Waymon obviously really loves doing it and has a great passion for it. The writing and storytelling is great! I’ve definitely been pulled into it and have enjoyed the story. However, Wayman doesn’t strike me as a professional actor. This feels more like storytelling than acting… for instance, in times of great duress there’s not much stress or anxiousness in his voice. I think it’s adorable that he has pulled his family in as cast members, but again, obviously not professional actors. You have to roll with that. But he IS a good storyteller… so it really does work as long as you accept that you’re not dealing with a professional production. The one thing that actually drives me crazy though is the extremely inconsistent volume levels on the show. From episode to episode, from scene to scene, there are dramatic variances in the volume. Sometimes I’ll be listening in the car or at night on my AirPods and I’m constantly cranking the volume up or down because I either can’t understand what somebody saying because the volume is too low or I have my ears blasted by some sound effect. I do feel it has slowly been improving, but I am about midway or more through the second season, and it still frustrates me. That having been said, this is probably one of very few “non-professional” audio drama podcasts that I’ve gotten hooked on. I’m really enjoying following the traveler’s adventures, and I look forward to more! Great job!

I love it!!! What a good job for your first time. Love your voice! Thanks

    Engaging. Long drive commute worthy.
For your first couple of episodes, narrated and produced by Waymon Alexander, I’d recommend a rainy day. The steady patter of the water against your windshield as the wanderer records his travels and tribulations in the Liminal Lands. A secret space, seemingly outside of time, full of mystery and dangers. A place where the laws of time and physics are.. off.. I’ve binge listed all episodes. Can’t wait for Waymon to move our wonder closer to the goal of finding his family.

    Great premise!
I do have one small critique. Sometimes the audio is low and had to hear. I do not know if this is on purpose or not. No matter, overall, worth the time and entertainment.

    I’m in!
I don’t write a lot of reviews, but I found this podcast by chance while looking for a good audio drama, and I’m so hooked! Listened to a whole season in one day. Voice acting is very good from the get-go, and production value goes up throughout the season. The storyline is fantastic - if you love the idea of creepy liminal spaces, definitely check this one out!

    Loved Season 1 !!
I binged this right through in 2 days. Great Mystery …and the “SPOILER” was such a surprise. Leaving us with a “SPOILER” just makes me want to hear the next Season! (I’m not going to ruin it for anyone else! ) REALLY Looking forward to Season 2 :) 2 👍👍!

    Engrossing mystery
Supernatural thriller vibes. The audio diary format gives it a found audio quality. And the monologue is very authentic. Main character feels real and relatable.

    Intriguing!
A very interesting audio drama that, as of this writing, is still very early on! But even then, the episodes are short and it should be easy to catch up if you come in late. And you should catch up! It’s a gripping story about a man and his strange experiences.

    Great Podcast
Definitely leaves me wanting to know more at the end of each episode! The storytelling is top notch, I wonder if the author is an English teacher?!
