EeeeegggggsssssIt’s good not greatEmily Ratajkowski gets hated on so much simply for being a hot woman who is also smart. That said, the podcast is OK. The whole premise of talking about low brow. Things in a High brow way is nothing new. There’s tons of podcasts doing it all the time and people doing their PhD’s on pop culture. That said, I do think that this is aim toward a main stream audience, and designed to help them think deeper but for people who are already deep thinkers, you probably won’t get much out of these episodes

vokalizedGreat Guests and Always OpenI appreciate how candid the interviews are and how comfortable Em makes her guests feel. I like how she speaks up about what others would.
-
slumwarriorGreat Podcast for well rounded peopleFirst off, I don’t get the bad reviews Em is a wonderful interviewer and has great tact when touching difficult topics with her guests. Clearly, the ones leaving the bad reviews already give away hater undertones. Dusregard the mean girls, give the pod a listen and be your own judge. BTW, this isn’t NPR so know that Em will talk about whatever is of interest to her whether that may be modeling, pop culture, politics and etc…

Kria88MehPresented as a smart podcast for deep thinkers, but is a very easy listen. It’s not challenging or even mentally stimulating. I don’t ever learn anything, or think about the podcast again after listening. Some of the guests are interesting. I like Em’s casual interview style. It seems that her guests like and trust her. I listen while I work because it’s such a breezy listen. You should know before listening that she is one of those people who pronounces “else” as “elts”.

Paul RichieDeserves to live onLove this calming and entertaining pod and hope it continues on in a new home 🤍

MadAsAHatterGirlUghI feel like I’m losing brain cells listening to Emily Ratatouille talk. I remember listening to clips of her and Julia Fox’s interview on Colonel Kurtz’s YouTube channel and I wanted to gag the whole time. There are better women to listen to than this airhead.

kelsaroo6Fav podcastEmRata! I love this podcast! So calming and soothing to listen to at any time of the day! I love all the guests she has on and the questions she asks them! Highly recommend!
-
Jon4838582Idk, I like it!Not sure why there’s hella negative comments, she’s a great interviewer & the guests makes sense & are culturally relevant

shanlaurenLove this podcastEmily is so smart and I wish we could be friends. She seems really genuine and definitely a girls girl. I love this single girl era for her and seems like she is living her best life. Love you Emily!

TomrotorGreat discussion ! Troubled Teen industry interviewInterview with Samantha about the troubled teen industry was lively and informative. Looking forward to reading her book!
-
aly-son-93Better guests pleaseI support Emily religiously, I think he writing and a lot of this podcast speak to a group of women (if not most women) who understand her. But I have to say the majority of the most recent guests have been over privileged, white, and most importantly boring people. From Diplo to Tana. Which is a shame cause the guests use to be so varied and interesting.
-
Melissa ARefreshingGreat podcast. Keep it up!
-
OneshineNot my podcast anymoreI liked her earlier shows when she first started. Seems like something changed the last few months with the type of guests and topics she’s discussing. She seems unprepared like she’s just winging it and not a priority.
-
hazbarelsNot everyone needs a podcast..Does not really shine as an interviewer/host- seems like the guests kind of have to work to move past the reductiveness of the questions she asks
-
katkillrI like it!I enjoy emrata as a podcast host. I like the topics, guests, and think she’s a kind interviewer.
-
lynsie sitlerModelModel talks about modeling in a way that’s been said 10 million times before. Extremely simple takes at feminism and charges 3.99 a month for 9 min episodes. 5 stars!!!!

mindynotmelindaAries MoonEm you have an Aries moon! Hence your draw to them. xo

Isa/13PerspectiveEmily’s podcast has been such a breath of fresh air. Her vulnerability with her guests is phenomenal and also caring. She makes everyone feel like everything is going to be okay. 🤍
-
LucyPodcasterSmart woman, smart podShe’s a smart woman doin her thing and I love to listen. Thoughtful, well-researched, accessible. All you haters try and do this. It ain’t easy. I, for one, am impressed. Love u.

CreatenicEmily lacks a sympathetic toneHearing the Alexis Ren interview that I was really excited for because I’m a huge fan of her was pretty disappointing. Unfortunately Emily lacks a sympathetic, and in-depth tone, that podcasters normally have. The episode sounded more like an interview from someone who does not want to interview (being emily) opposed to a genuine conversation that podcasts normally have. Take jay shetty for example. In short, Emily sounds like she’s on a red carpet asking interview questions, that’s all. Like alexis could say something deep and Emily’s response be “that’s so cool.’’ Hahahaha

Annoyed by lameness“Nucular” NO“Oh my god!” From the incredibly horrible theme music to the super annoying and purposely affected voice, this pompous pseudo intellectual podcast and it's attempt to sound enlightened and intelligent, is unbearable. Pronouncing the word ‘Nuclear’ - “Nucular” pretty much says it all. NO
-
DizzydizzlleTikTok is not a news sourceWas willing to give this a shot but Julia fox saying she wants her son to be homeschooled by a mechanic followed directly by em rata saying she gets all her news from TikTok is gonna be a no from me dog.
-
JahdbakabdhsnanahEmily is a pretty smart person but lacks perspective… I read her beautiful book idk. Not everyone needs a podcast
-
hfhnvrthvfhkoijinbgfxfghjunlistenablei tried. so many annoying this happening at once. leaning on her sexuality, insisting that she’s a feminist, & completely unaware that this podcast is a practice in irony. 1 million eye rolls.
-
yasmineaeaeaSorry girlThe feminism is not fully cooked here— Emily’s analysis is a little one note. I think she should spend a little more time developing her opinion on the subject matters she delves into because often it feels like she hides behind the same working sexy girl narrative/sexual objectification and has trouble complicating it, which makes her interviews disappointing. She hides behind other people’s words a lot. As an interviewer, there’s a lot of growth needed. I’m frustrated, as a woman, that the end of any critique is basically like, “well a girl’s gotta make money!” Which is kind of dark? And also a really horrible message for young women. Why do we have to buy into this rat race mentality that allows you to justify any means of making money that a woman chooses? In the world of this podcast, it’s almost like women HAVE to make money off their sexuality somehow. I guess that’s because she speaks to people in the entertainment industry, but idk. It’s a nihilistic worldview, which Emily tries to express as too complicated to really come down any way on. You’ll find yourself wishing for a clearer perspective on feminism and womanhood.

HubbleLifeFeminist voicesHaving Hannah Berner as a guest is so iconic
-
Elbob17VapidA vapid podcast for vapid people. If you’re paying to have an out of touch celebrity talk down to you you need to have your head examined more than “EmRata.”
-
WSNYCIronically, pretty flatFeels like she is doing it willy-nilly. Superficial attempts at covering serious topics. Episodes are too short. The pod would be much, much better if topics were lighter and more in her domain — fashion, beauty, celebrity lifestyle. I would love to hear Emrata talk more about beauty than beauty standards. This way, she appears rushed and unprepared.
-
BabyjudeePodcastEmrata you’re so pretty 💗!! I like this podcast so much, but I would like to see videos of every person you interview. Specially the people who are in their late 20s and early 30s
-
holly__nicoleRelatable & empowering 🫶🏼Just started listening this weekend & I’m sad that I’ve been missing out but nice to know i have a stacked lineup for days/ weeks now.. I feel like everything Em and her guests say are so relatable, reassuring, & validating so it’s definitely worth listening to!!
-
K. ChilToo many adsAbout half of each episode is ads. Some great guests, some random bad guests. Truly a mix of high and low — definitely skip half but the good ones are enjoyable.
-
KMG2626Interesting conversations x great essay recommendationsWould love if there was a recap available of all the essays and books discussed!
-
rouge 47Watching the podcastLove the podcast is there away to watch it Thank you

smenorthis is great !I didn’t exactly go in with high expectations and wouldn’t have listened but saw Emrata mention something she said in an episode on her Instagram about why she hates the term « empowerment » so I found and downloaded the episode and was blown away. It really made me appreciate her journey and it feels like she is going in the right direction with respect to capitalism and yt feminism. Incidently / if you have a moment, it’s funny to go through the 1-star reviews - they’er pretty much fully dominated by sad, bitter incels which I think is probably the biggest vote of confidence you could have that she is doing something right My only real complaint is the ads but in the world as it is that’s the game we’re stuck with and I’ll switch to a paid subscription as soon as possible so they’ll no longer be a factor
-
fhits CB mEhPseudo intellectual wokeism, but at least she’s trying, although i wish she would stop the larp and give us what we all actually want- tips on how to get a sick ab crack
-
Lcruz808Smart and Surprisingly RelatableLove this podcast! Would love it if you could provide links to the essays/books/etc. referenced in each episode as well!
-
mgundy44Highly RecommendI genuinely enjoy this pod by emrata. She chooses thoughtful topics and guests that keep every week interesting. I’m always looking forward to what she might discuss next!
-
pebsxlLove!!I really enjoy hearing em’s perspective on things and can tell she enjoys doing this podcast. I do wish some of them are longer but honestly I don’t mind the shorter episodes.
-
Andante'EmRataEnjoy your podcast I’m single and it is what it is. Dang it! Thank you D D H 😊 You should stay single… Be adventurous and go on as many dates as possible. Do whatever you want. EmRata is probably the most attractive person ever.
-
Jennnn12358LoveLook forward to it every week!
-
jaydekatLet’s get talking…I enjoy this podcast and find myself choosing it over others on my commute - Emily has a way of creating a space that feels like you’re sitting with her and chatting over lunch about topics worth exploring. It’s fun and often deep, a true high-low. I really enjoy the episodes with writer guests and would love for Sarah Hoover to come back for a second episode and discuss more of what she’s learned around women’s health. The EmRata Asks episodes are a fun new way of taking bites out of great topics. I think it would be so beneficial for her listeners if she did an episode on how she finds her articles when she’s curious about a topic. I loved the articles in the “Are Hot Takes Making You Stupid” episode and would like to be able to explore more of those articles… links? 🙏 I’d give the podcast a higher rating, but I do have concerns around some of the blatancy discussing sex work and commodifying of the female body on such a large platform, without deeply understanding the psychology of severe sexual trauma.
