Science #86

MERGED is a platform to enable the mainstream exploration of UAP through the lens of pilots, scientists, and innovators.
Ryan will host discussions on UAP that prioritize scientific inquiry and maintain an open-minded approach. In addition to exchanging ideas, MERGED will serve as a conduit for identifying technologies, companies, and individuals that can contribute to the ecosystem of UAP research and understanding.

Ryan Graves is a former pilot who flew the F-18 Super Hornet fighter jet. In 2014, he and his colleagues regularly encountered unidentified aerospace phenomena (UAP) off the coast of Virginia Beach. These sightings were so frequent that they had to cancel training missions. By 2021, there have been 11 documented near misses with UAP. The MERGED Podcast is here to explore this phenomenon and the efforts to understand it through the perspective of pilots, scientists, and innovators. Ryan believes that the UAP phenomenon is an engineering problem and that a rational, science-first approach is needed to explore it.

    Ryan’s The Man 🫡
Whether he’s Lex Freidman’s long lost bro or an alien himself, Graves brings a grounded and needed perspective to this topic in the era of carney-esque showman like Corbell. Solid guests, interesting takes, and a slowly improving delivery / interview style. 5 stars ⭐️

Former fighter pilot “risking” his reputation on The Phenomena
This pod offers a fresh perspective of the phenomena as being told by an extremely experienced and trusted fighter pilot for our country (in the states anyway). He is literally one of the fields leading voices as he’s been around and observed these things “in the wild” as I like to say. I do remember seeking out interviews just to hear what he has to say on the matter before really knowing what he was all about. Having said that, I believe I found this pod in particular on verbal recommendations from Jeremy Corbell, George Knapp, Curt Jaimungal, Leslie Kean, That UFO podcast and many others… I highly recommend this pod for truly fresh and unique perspective. Ryan really seems to have our (civilization(s)) interests at the forefront and has become a very reliable source on many other pods/clips/interviews. Also, literally every single guest/episode brings something new to the table and personally it’s helped me wrap my mind around a couple of topics of discussion that I now feel I have a firm understanding of. Give it a listen, if you made it this far in my review your obviously in the right place!

    Time
It’s time! The military has been lying for one reason and one reason only and that’s to fold this technology over into the stream of the military. This is the only reason and the main reason for the secrecy and scare individuals into not telling their story. Let’s Go !

An unbiased discussion of the UAP phenomenon
MERGED, hosted by Ryan Graves provides those with an interest in UAP phenomenon with an unbiased and easy to follow podcast that does not jump to conclusions about what people are seeing in the skies. There’s no sensationalism; just frank discussions from aviation, military, and scientific professionals about their experiences and their opinions on how research on UAP should be conducted. It’s refreshing to have a podcast on UAP/UFO’s that does not place the topic into a box. Ryan’s guests express their views on what they believe it may be, but the main point of the podcast is that: 1. People are seeing things in the skies (and sometimes underwater) that are unfamiliar, 2. At this time there is no concrete explanation as to what they are, and 3. Through science and open dialogue, we, as a worldwide community, should work together to figure out what it may be. Ryan, through MERGED, provides an excellent forum to have that open discussion. It’s well worth the listen!

Love this podcast. Thanks Astonishing Legends for the recommendation. Love the interviews with all the pilots. The first hand knowledge/experience on UAPs is great to hear. I feel like the dam is about to break on this subject and this podcast is the first trickle. I can’t wait to hear the next episode.

I knew this was my new favorite podcast within the first 10 minutes
Conversations like this are how we’re going to get full disclosure. Intelligent people with the background to ask the right questions having honest intellectual conversations about the phenomenon. This is what has been missing.

Searching for Facts and the truth!
Finally a show about UAPs and a host who is intelligent and knowledgeable and willing to listen and ask hard questions to get to the truth, discover what is real and give those with real experiences a platform to share them as we search for scientific fact based answers. Ryan Graves is someone who knows how to listen and take in the information and examine all the different aspects and share that information, and the facts, without making false conclusions or assumptions, no matter what outcome we want it to be. I appreciate his willingness to listen and also speak candidly and to push back against making judgments or statements without having a solid basis in scientific facts and pushing forward to get to the truth and to share the truth, whatever it is or isn’t. Very interesting and looking forward to many more episodes! Thank you, Lt.

    Beyond my expectations
First of all, I’m a bit stunned by what a natural interviewer Ryan Graves is on this, his first interview of his new podcast. Mind you, Gary Noland is a great first interview because of who he is and what he has accomplished. But also because Nolan’s is a natural and articulate speaker with a ton to say. Finally, he’s also a gracious guest who is willing to fill conversational holes with interesting stuff. Nonetheless, Graves holds his own in the conversation adding interesting points, frequently nudging the conversation further and in different directions. Nicely done! And by the way, the whole idea for this podcast is new and exciting. Ironically, that’s because it main-streams is the UFO conversation such that anybody can listen whether or not they have any technical knowledge, even if they have previously felt the jab of shaming from archaic attitudes about anything involving UFOs or aliens. The podcast itself, therefore, it is a step toward not only a broader understanding of the phenomenon but toward expanding the population of those who will openly seek to understand more. Good work, Lieutenant Graves! - DB

Just what the UAP topic needed
There’s a lot of UAP podcasts lately but a more mainstream, science based podcast is what has been missing. This has started off great and I look forward to future episodes.

Lt. Ryan Graves is a terrific, forward-looking thinker and advocate, and I am enthusiastic about this podcast and its goals. The Debut episode with Dr. Garry Nolan is a success, both in terms of listening content and technical execution. We are all eager to hear from upcoming guests on the show! David Burstein, MD MS
