I’m someone who is a late-comer to FAM. I’ve listened to your podcast through all 3.7 seasons so far, and have really enjoyed the honest, thoughtful coverage from Nique and the slightly fluid crew. Suddenly in episode 7 of season 4, the show is littered with these soundboard drops of music that sound as though they’re being played through someone’s iPhone 3 speaker and being recorded on a laptop mic from 7 feet away. Like Nique, I’m deeply disappointed in season 4 which has been a train wreck compared to any of the previous seasons. You guys have have been very honest in your criticisms of the season (most of which I agree with entirely), and I have to be honest that the sound drops that interrupted your show in EP7 were really distracting from your conversations, and the tinny audio quality was really grating. The sequence in which drops of the Star Trek and FAM themes were repeatedly inserted in rapid fire fashion were particularly unbearable. I’m attaching a five star rating to this post, because I’ve truly enjoyed your coverage, but to quote the show, “if this is the direction the show is taking,” you’re likely to lose me.

This is my favorite FAM podcast. Unlike others, this varied crew honestly evaluates the show. They are able to recognize that these characters are not perfect. Nique’s summaries are very clever. They don’t talk over one another and they are all open to differences of opinion.

I love this podcast. I recently stumbled on “For All Mankind” and binged the show and moon show podcast. The hosts are super engaging and thoughtful. Highly recommend. They keep me company while computing to work.

Dear Hosts, I do you enjoy listening to your podcast but there’s been too much ranting that’s may be unwarranted. First, I have to point out that Dev can’t just get technological items without Danielle knowing. She made it clear to him that She is in charge on her base. So, technically Dev is like any other Helios contractor to Danielle. So, she is going to inspect every package and questions him on what he is up to. Second, I always love Ed and grumpy high Ed is the most entertaining. I think the show writers are being very consistent with Ed’s character. When Ed was on the Moon for that unintentional prolonged period, he went a little nutty. Now, times that by 10 on Mars, I would be surprised if he isn’t a crazy old loon. Especially with all the weed he’s smoking! Finally, I don’t like the Miles character which is a shame because I’m a big fan of Toby Kebbell. Unfortunately, Miles at first whines too much and now is just greedy. Still, I like For All Mankind; the first season is still my favorite. And, I hope Ed survives for another season and reach to be a 100 years old and the first man on Jupiter!

This is a fun podcast to listen to. There's a good size panel so you get a good spread of opinions although I do find myself disagreeing with all of them most of the time. I do recommend it if you are a fan of the show.
