What Now? with Trevor Noah

Hear Trevor Noah in a way you’ve never heard him before. “What Now? with Trevor Noah” is a show wherein each episode Trevor will go deep with a special guest, including entertainers, CEOs, actors, athletes, and thought leaders. These are the kind of conversations that happen behind the scenes, full of radical candor, authentic back-and-forths, and honest reactions, with Trevor bringing to bear his classic, effortlessly playful and equally probing style. Produced by Spotify Studios in partnership with Day Zero Productions and Fulwell 73.

    Interesting topics and discussions
At first, I thought just another podcast, but after listening to it, I found that it was unique! The discussions and the way ideas are shared between the host and guests really forces us to think even beyond our own beliefs. Thank you for a show that is thought-provoking with a touch of humour.

    Trevor and friends
I love the 'Trevor and friends' episodes more than the celebrity interviews. Trevor and his friends have such insightful conversations!

The biggest chips in the bag
I was impressed by the repertoire between old friends continuing their biannual tradition of traveling to different countries. Much was discussed about Japanese culture. I agree about their toilets. However I was amazed by the ignorance of the woman who suggested Japanese men make good lovers because they let their partners know what they like. However they are not interested in what the woman wants in this male centric society. “ In 2020, the Gender Equality Bureau of the Cabinet Office of Japan found that one in four women aged over 20 had experienced domestic violence from a spouse.” Do your research 😞

    Go back
After listening to first episode I was hooked and binged them all. I laughed, did some critical thinking and had some fun. It is different but I must ask the question why can’t you go to the Daily Show, you go to talk to people. I guess I’ll just have to continue to follow you here.

    Total woke garbage
Trevor Noah isn’t funny. He never has been remotely funny. He’s supported because of typical woke reasons. Don’t waste your time.

    Boring and irrelevant
Trevor is a has been. His interview style is boring and he doesn’t discuss the important questions. His topics have become tame and no longer is cutting edge. You’ll be disappointed in his new work. He discussed important topics that we’re modern and now it’s bland and uncritical. Disappointed for sure.

If you’re searching for a podcast that combines wit, intelligence, and a touch of that irresistible South African charm, look no further than Trevor Noah’s “What Now?” Trevor could read the phone book and have me hanging on every word, thanks to his smooth accent and razor-sharp intellect. Trevor Noah isn’t just a comedic genius; he’s a master storyteller who effortlessly navigates through complex topics, making them accessible and downright enjoyable. Each episode is a delightful mix of humor and insight, showcasing Trevor’s unique ability to make you think while you’re laughing. But let’s not forget Christiana—oh, Christiana! Her comedic timing and insightful commentary add an extra layer of brilliance to the show. She’s like the perfect seasoning to Trevor’s main dish, bringing out flavors you didn’t even know were there. Her ability to make me laugh out loud in public places has officially earned me the title of “that weird person with the headphones.” Together, Trevor and Christiana create an electric dynamic that makes “What Now?” a standout podcast. Whether they’re diving into serious discussions or sharing light-hearted banter, their chemistry is palpable, and their conversations are nothing short of captivating. If you’re not already tuning in, you’re missing out on a podcast that’s as thought-provoking as it is entertaining. “What Now?” is a perfect blend of intellect and humor, making it a must-listen for anyone who appreciates smart, funny, and insightful content. Trust me, once you start, you’ll be all in—phone book or not.

    Best pod and conversations
Rare that one tunes in for celebrity interviews and finds the chatters between friends even more entertaining and interesting. By far the some of the best conversations on air; witty, interesting, thought provoking, educating, but yet, SO funny. Would love to listen to Trevor and friends endlessly.

Tackling the big questions, in a fun way!
I love the banter between good friends, Christiana teasing Trevor on finding a wife, while pondering the serious issues remaking society today. The most recent episodes on Ozempic and “If I ruled the world” were especially thought provoking. Great guests too! I might suggest one – Jonathan Haidt, author of The Anxious Generation. BTW, Trevor, I agree on getting rid of social media for all, not just kids!

    Fan of Trevor Noah!
I’ve been a fan of Trevor Noah since the Daily Show. His perspectives on everyday things makes me question and wonder with him. I’m glad he went on the SmartLess show, even though he didn’t talk about What Now, one of the guys mentioned it after Trevor left and that’s how I got here.

Simply the best hour of my week
I have always enjoyed the stand-up comedy as well as Noah’s work on the daily show, however, the podcast truly does bring to life his insights balance views and thoroughly enjoyable content. I look forward to each new weeks episode of amazing guests. It’s thought provoking, funny, and I always am wishing these shows could be like 4 hours long and it would go by too fast! Thanks for not just being another celebrity podcast and contributing meaningful content out in the world.

    Trevor’s voice
This is the only podcast I don’t fast forward the ads. I could listen to him read the phone book.

    Best podcast with Trevor
Trevor is a great host and he has his particular way of asking question. Christina and Josh are great too

    Enjoy listening but . . .
Need to comment on the podcast episode in which Trevor heaped loads of praise on Dubai for its “progress”. Come on now Trev! Dubai has not in any meaningful way amended its oppressive laws against women. It treats its migrant workers abominably and no telling how those not in power live. Moreover it condones Sheikh Mohammed’s imprisonment and mental and physical torture of his princess daughters who’ve tried to escape his wrath. He’s a very powerful hypocrite that breaks all sorts of Islamic laws. (Listen to Runaway Princesses podcast.) Everyone and countries are tremendously afraid to condemn him. Dubai may have amazing buildings and glitz and glamour - sort of like the Wizard of Oz, but look behind the curtain🥴 Want to add a point to the Ozempic episode. It will be only people with means that can use this class of medications. So poorer people who can’t afford it will be further discriminated against and be judged unworthy.

    I can I ask a question?
To me it seems like a lot of comedians have issues due to their childhoods to work out. Like they’re secretly screwed up people. Trevor do you think this is just a stereotype? If not, in what way are you dealing with your issues through your work? Do you have personal demons? KJordan

    Entertaining AND informative
Such a great show— I love Trevor’s perspectives and those of his guests. Interesting and relevant conversations for today and also with humor and thoughtfulness. Thank you for sharing your conversations with us!!

    Interviews extended
I love Trevor and was heartbroken when he left TDS. My favorite part of his DS was the interview. Trevor is such a wonderful conversationalist. I have enjoyed listening to all of them. I decided to write this while listening to Gabriel. As a Tennerican, I found this comforting. I moved to South Korea recently as a Korean Hillbilly. So hearing a Spanish speaker reminds me of my late father. Thank you! ¡Gracias! 감사합니다!

    Hunt, Gather, Parent
On Episode 26, Christana asked that a comparable book be written about parenting. HUNT, GATHER, PARENT by Michaeleen Doucleff has already delivered! She would be an excellent follow up guest to this episode. Love this show! Thank you!

I fall in love every episode
Seriously. Trevor Noah is a unique comedian of our generation who is as good of a person as he is funny, intelligent, and thoughtful. I wish I could sit around the table with him and his friends and join in on their discussions, but since I can't, this podcast is the next best thing. Humor, philosophy, world politics, interviews, I just love it so much. Also have to shout out Christianne, Josh, and the other friends who join in the discussions. I am so glad he made the change from the Daily Show - this format is much better than another deprecating joke about Eric Trump. Thanks for sharing yourself with the world Trevor.

    Thank you!
Trevor and Co. - Thanks for this discussion and the book recommendation. I am 40 yo American woman who has never been married and doesn’t have kids. I have often noted/felt the judgment in others’ eyes (gasp, WHAT’S WRONG WITH HER?!?)…the good news is that post-35, people have mostly stopped asking me about my SO status as it seems they give up on us (women) the closer we get to middle age. This discussion was really validating for me. Always a thought-provoking listen. The work you all are doing is greatly appreciated!

Universities teaching positive method for discussion
Trevor, Great episode. My first thought was Kent State. Students were murdered by members of the National Guard for protesting during the Vietnam War. Don’t come to Florida. Public universities are requiring it’s professors to prove they aren’t “woke” and aren’t teaching “woke.” A large percentage of professors are resigning or retiring. If universities ever taught positive discussion on political topics, they don’t know. Students learned it having brews in the pubs.

    Amazing Show!
One of the best podcasts I’ve listened to in a while! Trevor and his cohosts always keep me intrigued in whatever topic they discuss no matter the level of seriousness. They are all so smart, funny, and insightful. What Now with Trevor Noah is certainly a diamond in the rough amongst the podcast landscape

    Great podcast
The interviews are great but the friend conversations are my favorite. I like their friend banter but also I learn a new insight with each topic.

This is show we need in 2024
I really appreciate this show. Trevor is a deeply insightful host who LISTENS to his guests and co-hosts. Christiana and Josh offer thoughtful and humorous insights and are a great counter balance to Trevor. Just a wonderful recipe for a podcast; can’t get enough. Thank you Team Trevor!

    To be seen is critical
Trevor the episode on men and compassion is so necessary. As a mother of an adult male I would love to chat with you about this critical episode. We all want to be seen, heard and validated. Loved every bit of it. I agree the father of the Australian male broke my heart. There by the grace of God go I is all I could think when I watched his heartfelt love for his son

    Please Never Stop!!
These are the conversations that we all need to have and hear more of. Thank you for taking the time to find everyone’s humanity and point of view and be a soothing tide of comfort in our dysfunctional, ‘cancel culture’. I see you (well not on the podcast 🤣), I hear you and I’m with you Trevor! PS. Haters gonna hate. Of course your not John Stewart!! Thank God (no offense man)… and your co-hosts are super funny and challenge your way of thinking, making the conversations critical and thought provoking. I actually paused the episode I am on (Happy late Birthday, Trevor!!) to write this review because the convo with your mates was so good!! Interviews are great but I love these segments just as much!!

    Grateful
Let me start by saying, I have followed Trevor's career since the first time I saw him on QI. I am completely impressed by him as a person in general. I started listening to What Now last week. I have to tell you, this podcast has touched my life in such a tangible way. Last year, I lost my sister to a rare lung and heart condition. My sister was my best friend and basically life partner (much how Kevin Hart explained his brother to you). I have her youngest daughter now. And our lives have felt pretty broken. Steph and I loved Trevor! And when I heard his 40th Birthday Talk with his friends. It made me feel like I had her back for just a little while. The conversations I have heard, are conversations that we have had. I know You must have hundreds of stories like these, but I had to let you know what they have meant to me! Thank You for existing in this world! Ash

    Great interviews!
I love the times when Josh, Christiana, and Trevor are chatting! The interviews are wonderful too because Trevor seems genuinely curious so we all benefit and learn deep insights in all kinds of people.

Love Trevor and friends, but hope you aren’t going to eliminate conversation, more in depth on topics, with other interesting people too.

    Thank you
I've missed your conversations after you left the daily show. But I was so overjoyed to find out you has a podcast. Now I really look forward to Thursdays so I can listen to a new episode . Listening to your conversations make me laugh and learn at the same time.

    My fav podcast!
I fell in love with Trevor when he hosted The Daily Show. He is so sharp and funny and seamlessly manages to walk the line between being a down-to -earth man of the people but still be thought provoking whike making you laugh too. I was so sad when he left The Daiky Show but now I’m overjoyed because I have only grown to love him more since listening to What Now. It’s amazing the way he is so real and authentic. I feel honored to be listening in on these conversations with his friends who are funny and smart in their own right, as well as the guests he has in the show. It’s refreshing to hear the take on Americans from people who are or grew up in other places. Thank you Trevor for sharing your gift (and your friends) with us!

    Great listen!
Trevor is profound and sharp…such a fun way to hear him more often and his friends are quick and funny too. He is creative and I am envious of the way his brain works. So interesting!

Trevor is so out of touch. Where did he find the co hosts are unbearable to listen to.

    Informative
I just started following Trevor and I continue to follow him because I find him to be interesting, intelligent, kind and respectful with the people he talks with. No negativity just fun and interesting conversations. Thank you Trevor for all that you do to help bring sunshine into the lives of others. I pray this Podcast continues to be successful.

    This podcast is wonderful!
I am in love with this podcast. Trevor, his cast and guests are nothing short of magic. Together they bounce off of each other and keep me interested and very serious constantly laughing! With different perspectives and personalities they cover every subject/situation that is being addressed that day. Aside from the humor all aspects of the topic are thoroughly discussed and dissected. The ONLY downside to me is that I wish it was more often!! ♥️The topics are current and everyone involved is well educated on the topic of each episode. Everyone should listen to this podcast, for sure you’ll become addicted. Thank you to all of the people behind this podcast. Truly a great show!!

    Adore this show
I love this show! It makes me smile! It makes me laugh! And gives me a lot of information! It makes me really happy and I look forward to every episode

    No laughs
I thought this would be funny. It’s just lame and him showing off his famous friends. Trevor has become dry and un relatable. I lost respect for him when he agreed to be in Jlo’s weird narcissistic movie. He’s lost his ability to be a normal human.
  • GrannyGilmy
    Never stop!

    My favorite podcast!!
Trevor asks the best questions. I listened to his book on audible and then saw he had a podcast. This podcast ACTUALLY makes you think, and Trevor is so genuine. He is such a great interviewer, and I really feel like people he interviews get something out of it too. It’s always intimate, extremely - uniquely informative, and funny. I actually say out loud sometimes “Wow, amazing question.” The best interviews and conversations happen with these powerful or influential people that I feel could be soothing for them and the listener. I think Trevor Noah tactfully brings helpful perspective to people he interviews too without being even a little critical - and that gives these interviewees and the listeners some valuable insight. It pretty much alway feels like a warm exchange. I wish everyone interviewed with Trevor!! Him and his friends also talk about current events in a way that presents varying opinions, intelligent observations, and humor. It honestly feels like my perspective is delightfully added to. So many people just voice opinions with passion with no additional critical thinking to illustrate how they formed their opinions. Trevor and his friends are critical thinkers and in such a “lonely” age with technology, I feel this has helped me feel more comfortable listening and even discussing things in my life that I sit with usually - things I think deeply about. I appreciate it, I highly recommend this podcast, and I really hope he keeps making more episodes 💛!
  • claine120502
The interviews are great, his friends are boring.
I started listening when Trevor launched this back in the fall. The actual interview episodes have all been great. The roundtable episodes with his friends have been boring, and sometimes teetering on cringe. The episode he did with his friends on Diddy was bordering on conspiracy theory level rhetoric. Hoping he sticks to doing more actual episodes are not phoning it in with his friends.
